MJ is actually up! She normally sleeps until about 9 lol.
We're meeting a friend and her kids at the park in a bit to splash in the creek and play.

A and I have tickets to a concert friday night. We tried a bottle with MJ last night and she did great. I was half hoping she wouldnt so it was an easy excuse for me to bail.. A could tell and told me he wouldnt be upset if I changed my mind. So I'm not going. I cant bring myself to leave her yet. And the whole evening would be like 6-7 hours.

Morning!
Had a great time with my friends last night, but damn, I am tired today. Too many beers. A group of our neighbors showed up and ended up buying us a round of tequila shots. I don't usually do shots because they make me feels worse. So here I am, huge headache, hungover, but I'm at work. This day can't get over soon enough!

So I'll be okay. I got up at 4am and took 2 Advil, 5:30 I took 2 Aleeve, and I just took 2 Excederin. I think the headache is finally going away! But yeah, coffee is being consumed and I have my 64oz bottle of water open. I didn't stop and grab anything for breakfast, so it will have to be my protein shake. It's like I'm a damn rookie. I don't drink during the week anymore and this is why! |

If you had a sitter planned already, you should keep them anyway. |

I slipped on water in my house last night and managed to hurt my foot, knee, wrist, and shoulder. Nothing serious but I kept waking up every time I rolled on my knee. C was up early today so I got a lot done and ran 4 fast errands when I dropped T off at his safety program. I need something to do with the kids this afternoon, I may go backpack/sneaker shopping for school. I hate to do that in July but I’m planning to spend more time at the beach in August so I should probably get it done while nothing else is going on. It is so hard to find things to entertain all 4 with my age gaps. Last summer we could go to the movies and C would just sleep. Now he’s a monster who wouldn’t last 2 minutes.

Morning. Last day of work this week. I have tomorrow off to prepare for solo travel with the kids this weekend. I think I will start packing tonight. Hope my dresses come in so I can know if I have something to wear to the wedding. I do not want to spend most of tomorrow dress shopping.

Morning ladies. I want to crawl back in bed. I'm so tired. Last night we all had our belt tests and it was exciting, yet exhausting. Everyone did great and I'm glad MH has his black belt test behind him so he can relax. It was bittersweet with our instructor leaving but I managed to get through it without becoming a blubbery mess.
I discovered two of the parents there are also psychologists and the husband works where I do in the same clinic as my BFF. I've helped his kids with some of their training. Small world. The mom invited me to get together with other women psychologists this weekend and I might take her up on it if I can.

wineallthetime, I kept that and my military background on the DL for a long time. Way back when I first joined The Bump (that feels like forever ago) I was one of only a handful of female active duty psychologists in my area of the country so it felt way too identifying. Now that it's our smaller, cozy group I'm not nearly as concerned about it. I put very little about it on my FB as well and use my maiden name JIC any patients with boundary issues (or the occasional scary one) try to find me online. I labeled my job on FB as "The World's Second Analyst-Therapist" as a nod to Arrested Development's Tobias Funke being the world's first analyst-therapist, or anal-rapist for short.

More concerning is the married couple psychologists. I know a few of these couples. Could not do it. Do not want to be married to another psychologist. Same with dual military couples. Do not want to be married to a service member. |

Hey. S doesn’t have a fever today but said her throat hurts and she’s been very moody. I looked in her mouth and saw some white spots so I’m going to make an appt for this afternoon to check for strep. Google also tells me it could be HFM, which we have never had, so I’m hoping it’s not that. I don’t see spots anywhere else on her.

It's quiet around here! Not much new here, I emailed my SM for bed advice bc mh will listen to a professional. Mh bday is tomorrow and I may run out to Target to get the game he will want to go with his present.
J is planning a pretend puppy carnival at our house after watching an episode of Molly from Denali and asked me at pickup if a student worker could come over for it..and I was trying to explain that teachers are busy on the weekend..And his teacher heard and I was trying to explain and she's like, well I'm free Sunday if there's a carnival. And then this morning the other teacher said she's so excited about it(she had been out so first teacher had texted her clearly). Ummm, are they a) actually going to come over to our house for a pretend carnival?! B) my MIL may be here and mh is going to a baseball game that day. Regardless this escalated quickly...and not anything I have time for. Also would feel obliged to have mimosas and food if they trekked out to our place for this🤦.
Oh and someone in his class has fifths disease and I'm not immune to that, which is apparently pretty serious to get while pregnant. So he will be tossed directly into the tub when he gets home.

My kids have been playing so well together today so I’ve been staying out of their way so I don’t interrupt. They spent a good couple of hours in the basement this morning. It was glorious.
I, on the other hand, have been a blob today. I deep cleaned most of yesterday so my ambition is gone today. We have a sitter coming tonight and I’m looking forward to dinner out.

Y’all I’m so bored at work. Our last patient was before lunch. I took a long lunch, but pretty much just riding the clock. I will leave 30 min early. So far next month will be pretty slow for me in terms of working days, so I’m trying to get all the hours I can this week.
