I’m taking a day off and taking LO to Disneyland. He hasn’t been to Star Wars Galaxy Edge yet so he will be excited to drive a space ship. I'll be honest. I am half tempted to get a cheap flight and get tickets for 2 days to Disneyworld. I suppose I should plan to go sometime but probably not as a last minute trip. How do people watch for deals for Disney world? Like last minute hotel deals Check prices now for the dates you want. I was literally just looking at Disney hotels because I got some email about Orlando vacations from my Hilton account. From what I saw today, hotels now are cheaper. I was planning to stay at a Disney resort in December, but looking at some Hilton hotels close to Disney, I think I’m staying at one of those so I can get points. They have a few with park perks and shuttle service. MH has a Marriott account, so I probably need to check for their hotels, too.

Sunny41 If you have Sams or Costco membership, I think they both offer discount DW tickets. The discount is not much, but better than full-price, right?

Some guy showed up to do an annual inspection on our septic system. Of course I'm nursing MJ so I put my boob away quickly and answered the door. Then she spit up and this guy physically revolted as it ran down my shoulder and chest.... A guy who inspects septic systems for a living was bothered by baby vomit?

Like he was able to tell me to stop flushing baby wipes.... but vomit is to much to see.

We’ve had a good stretch of healthiness this summer but now S has a fever. Cross everything that this doesn’t turn into vomiting.

Well I convinced mh, maybe, to be open to last minute trips to Orlando if plane tickets go on sale but probably not for the before school days. Flights down are $44 each if we only take a backpack each but 250 back

You couldn’t pay me to go to DW this time of year. We died in the heat in September last year. There’s a reason it’s cheap! I hope she feels better trtlcrzy!

I did not even think of doing anything special before K. He’s not going off to college!

I think ice cream after to hear all about his day will be fun.

But my mom reserved the house at the lake last fall, for these dates. I tried to get her to move it to the end of July, but for some reason, she didn't. My SIL is a teacher, she's supposed to be back at school when we are at the lake. I'm not sure how she made it work. This is also our annual family vacation.

Since he is off from camp for like 10 days before school starts, I was originally planning on taking a bunch of time off and doing some fun stuff with him, not really because school is about to start but just because. But now that I just started the new job, that's not really practical. So he will probably have to go sit in his old day care for the 1.5 weeks leading up to school starting which will not be very fun but oh well. MH will be home during that time so I might try to convince him to do something with him 1 of those days, again not due to school starting but just so they can spend a day together.
I do like the idea of taking him out for ice cream after his first day. I might steal that.

I am a big planner, but I have given no thought as to what time we have to leave/wake up/go to bed, yet. I’m telling myself it’s bc we don’t have the bus schedule yet and I don’t know if it’s makes sense logistically for Josie to take the bus, but really I just don’t want summer to end.

guster same. I love the carefree summers and not having to stress about schedules and bedtimes. The school year is so much more hectic and I'm not looking forward to it starting again.
