I'm not ready for August. I'm overwhelmed just looking at the calendar.
I have training for work on Wednesday and Thursday. And trying to clean the house and pack for our trip to the beach.

I’m up early. I woke at 4:30 and couldn’t fall back asleep.
Madelyn turns 1 today. I can’t believe it.
I have the next three days off but I’m taking the girls to work today to visit. Should be fun.

My work schedule is so full, it doesn't even fit on one page. I have six day work weeks the next couple of weeks.
Z is getting molars on top of having a cold. So cranky.
I wanted to get a pedicure because I'm wearing sandals for our family pictures Saturday. It's the one thing I asked to do and it didn't happen. I'm pretty salty.

I feel like I come in to work on Monday to rest. It's so nice to just sit and not have to get up every few minutes to attend to the whims of a small person.

Before I had kids I said I’d love to be a stay at home mom. Now I’m so glad I have a job to go to for a break. I have no clue how stay at home moms keep their sanity and entertain their kids non stop.

I don’t know how my 5 year old is going to do at kindergarten. She does not wipe her own butt well at all. Now she won’t tell us when she has gone poop so she walks around stinky until we notice. Who knew that teaching a kid to wipe her own butt would be so hard?

Who knew that teaching a kid to wipe her own butt would be so hard? DD was 6 before she was fully comfortable doing it on her own (didn't need us to check her). And did a good job with it. She prefers to be home when she can use the wet wipes. I don't think she has ever gone at school though.

But damn, I definitely am not getting as much done as I wanted to. Its hard to get into something with DD2 awake, but if I clean, organize, etc during her nap then DD1 is bored and I feel guilty. I've been trying to be productive during her morning nap and then swimming or something with DD1 during the afternoon nap. I will say that the days seem to go by fairly quickly

I’m going to have to figure out how to get him a schedule that doesn’t involve school. Could you send a little pack of flushable wipes to school? I may do that with DS because he’s better with them.

Zach is refusing milk/formula at school because I stopped sending in bottles. I slowly cut his bottles over time, but he's still not having it and now he's making up for it at night. He's super fussy in the evening until he gets his bottle and then he was up twice last night. He's at least sttn some of the time so I know he can do it. It's frustrating. I'm ready to be done with this stage, but he is clearly not and he's a stubborn little turkey.

My kid doesn't seem to poop at school, ever, which I get, since at preschool it's an open room. Plus, how would she get up to poop to delay bedtime if she went at school? I think she could do it in an emergency, but it's not her usual, and we keep working on it!

Who knew that teaching a kid to wipe her own butt would be so hard? DS1 has been wiping his own for a year and it's still a struggle. His problem is he wipes and wipes and wipes and then clogs the toilet. So now he has anxiety when it comes to flushing because he's afraid he's clogged the toilet again. I really thought it'd just be a couple months of "training" and we'd be good to go. Nope. It's been a year and he still has anxiety about wiping. I have no advice.
I'm trying to get DD (4.5) to start wiping now so she's ready for kindergarten next year.

kam3100, answer: she's going to poop at home. +1 that DS1 was not good at wiping his own butt until he was 6. you can try to get her into the habit of pooping either in the morning or after dinner (my 2 big kids poop like clockwork after dinner every night). for the 1st half of kindergarten DS1 was even too nervous to pee at school so most of the time he just held it all day. sighhhh. he also had a traumatic incident with clogging/overflowing the toilet at home and he was paranoid about that for like a year.

This. DS1 was seeing a urologist as a toddler. In kindergarten he developed these "episodes" where he was peeing several times an hour. I bypassed our ped and went back to the urologist. The urologist couldn't find a reason for the frequent urination and said it was likely caused by nerves from his change in routine at school. I suspect his was holding poop and causing constipation that then lead to the frequent urination. Kindergarten is just full of fun new challenges!
I'm glad to read we're not alone in this though.

I definitely feel much better knowing that my kid isn’t going to be only one in class who can’t wipe properly haha. This is one of those things that people don’t warn you about parenting. 😂

No point to this, just need to vent. My husband is driving me crazy. I know he has alot going on at work and a few things he is trying to get set up before vacation, but damn he annoyed me last night. He made a negative comment about everything....I over cooked the bacon, didn't take out enough shrimp, why did I need him to stop at the grocery store, blah blah blah. I just stopped responding. Then he asks why I am grumpy?! Then we had an argument before bed, because I wanted him to work from home today because I have to go to training for work. He wanted to drive me and then pick me up (which would cause him to have to leave work early!!). So I wake up to a text from him saying he was working from home so that I don't have to deal with it. 🙄 And I was awake for 45 minutes listening to him snore last night.

I've been MIA. Life has been busy. I've also been trying to gear up for kindergarten. I've gotten most supplies but now I'm worry about signing him up for before/after care at the school and it's honestly a kind of confusing process. I hope I don't mess it up so we're left without care for a week.
Also, I have a bunch of work travel in the next couple of weeks. All of this happening right before DD's 1st birthday. Halp.

I'm ready for a day off. I want to nap, read trashy romance novels, and drink coffee and eat in peace. No kids, no husband.
