For the purposes of this check-in, we will define extended breastfeeding as breastfeeding beyond 1 year. Questions are repeated and suggestions are appreciated! 1. How old is your LO? 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 3. Which benefit of extended BFing is most important/relevant to you right now? 4. What is your LO's most annoying nursing-related habit/quirk (nipple twiddling, skin pinching, hair pulling, etc.)? Pregnant & BFing Moms: How are you doing this week? Any issues with supply, pain, aversion? Questions for other moms? Tandem Nursing Moms: How are you doing this week? Any current challenges? Questions for other moms? Non-BFing question of the week: What would be the coolest animal to scale up to the size of a horse?

1. How old is your LO? 23 months 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 3-4 3. Which benefit of extended BFing is most important/relevant to you right now? Comfort and snuggling. 4. What is your LO's most annoying nursing-related habit/quirk (nipple twiddling, skin pinching, hair pulling, etc.)? Switching back and forth from boob to boob.
Non-BFing question of the week: What would be the coolest animal to scale up to the size of a horse? Hmmm... i'd be too scared to do anything that was a predator (like a giant dragonfly would be cool to ride on, but I'd be afraid it would rip my head off). I think birds would be out, too- giant beaks=no. Also it would have to be smart enough to be trainable. But I would not trust a cat the size of a horse. I guess a dog? It'd be cool to be able to ride on your dog. It would have to be a really, really obedient dog, though.

1. How old is your LO? 18 months 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? wake-up, after daycare, bedtime, several times overnight. she wakes up 1-2 hours after we put her down and then we co-sleep. 3. Which benefit of extended BFing is most important/relevant to you right now? 4. What is your LO's most annoying nursing-related habit/quirk (nipple twiddling, skin pinching, hair pulling, etc.)? nursing a lot overnight.... we were in a good place with it but are slipping back into to much. she loves to play with my belly button. i don't mind unless she scratches it.
Non-BFing question of the week: What would be the coolest animal to scale up to the size of a horse? not sure but this makes me think of honey I shrunk the kids, lol

1. How old is your LO? - 2.25 year
2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? - 4-5x
3. Which benefit of extended BFing is most important/relevant to you right now? - emotional reset (mostly for DS but sometimes for me!)
4. What is your LO's most annoying nursing-related habit/quirk (nipple twiddling, skin pinching, hair pulling, etc.)? - he likes to nurse cradle but doesn't like crawling around on my lap to reposition himself between breasts; instead he wants me to pick him up & flip him around. He's getting heavy and unwieldy!
Non-BFing question of the week: What would be the coolest animal to scale up to the size of a horse? - everything I can think of sounds terrifying. My kid would be over the moon with a horse sized duck, though.
Question suggestion: something you're looking forward to about post-weaning/life after breastfeeding. Obviously we're all either gently weaning or working towards self weaning, and there are all kinds of feelings when that time comes around, but sometimes it's nice to think about the positives of being done with breastfeeding.

1. How old is your LO? Just about 23 months
2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? In the morning and when I come home from work. More on weekends.
3. Which benefit of extended BFing is most important/relevant to you right now? It's nice having an instant soothing mechanism when she gets hurt. She dropped a pot lid on her toe the other week and smashed it pretty bad. She was still crying and wincing in pain while she nursed, but I think it helped her cope with the pain. I love the snuggle time and calm face to face interaction too. She is usually pretty crazy.
4. What is your LO's most annoying nursing-related habit/quirk (nipple twiddling, skin pinching, hair pulling, etc.)? Demanding to nurse when she just had some recently. I don't have much supply, and I can't stand the feeling of her sucking on an empty boob. She also went through a phase where she would hit me in the face while nursing, but I think we've nipped that one in the bud.
Non-BFing question of the week: What would be the coolest animal to scale up to the size of a horse? A rabbit maybe? Something really soft and fluffy, but not likely to eat people.

1. How old is your LO? 16 months 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 3 3. Which benefit of extended BFing is most important/relevant to you right now? Meh... LO is very into it which is enough for me right now 4. What is your LO's most annoying nursing-related habit/quirk (nipple twiddling, skin pinching, hair pulling, etc.)? Mostly she is good, sometimes she tries to bounce at the same time, which I do not care for
Non-BFing question of the week: What would be the coolest animal to scale up to the size of a horse? All I can think of right now is a seahorse but in like a cartoon way. Not like an actual seahorse... idk we have been watching too much bubble guppies lately I think.

1. 19mo 2. 2-3x a day 3. The nutrition. DD has not been eating well so I'm glad we're all nursing to make up for it. 4. She likes to hit and stick hands and fingers in places they don't go. And she flops around a lot.
Pg: not bad. A little discomfort when we latch onto the left but that's it
GTKY: everything sounds really terrifying.

1. How old is your LO? 2 years, 3 months 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? SOOO MANY OMG. I don't know what her deal is but it went from a few times a day to constantly the whole time I'm with her. 3. Which benefit of extended BFing is most important/relevant to you right now? The snuggles are great. Its the only quiet time we have most of the time. 4. What is your LO's most annoying nursing-related habit/quirk (nipple twiddling, skin pinching, hair pulling, etc.)? She is a persistent nipple twiddler. I have to sort of block the other boob from her with my arm in this awkward way. I just hate it so much.
Non-BFing question of the week: What would be the coolest animal to scale up to the size of a horse? Yeah I'm totally afraid of horses so I can't think of anything that's not scary. Anything in the ocean would be ok.
