I’m working till 1 then S has OT, then we are headed to the lake to join MH who is already there for some fun in the sun.
S is going to a new babysitter today and because we live in a small town, I take for granted that everyone knows her issues and the situation. So I didn’t even think to mention anything to her. So I’m gonna feel like an asshole when I drop my kid with a million issues off and dump it all on her.

Ended up taking me 3 hours to get MJ back asleep. But she was good through the night. I hadnt had any caffeine since she was born until Sunday. And I think its affecting my milk. She seems upset when she nurses. So cutting it back out and seeing if that helps. If not, I'm thinking reflux.

vino I talked to her about an hour ago. They made it home fine. She said my step dad got up at some point in the night and went to sleep on the sofa, sleeping upright causes less pain. She said he's still in quite a bit of pain, although not as bad as yesterday, and they're talking about going to an urgent care. I told her if it gets bad enough, to go to another ER. They also didn't get the pain meds filled last night since it was so late. I told her if she needs anything to let me know. She told me she cried and reminded him of everything she had gone through with my first step dad, then his cancer scare, so whenever something happens, she freaks out. I told her next time she thinks like that, call ME, share with me her concerns, because we don't want him to not tell anyone how bad the pain really is, worrying he's going to upset her. She said 'Thanks mom' but I think I got through to her. I also reminded her he absolutely can NOT drive after pain meds, if they need someone to take them somewhere, to call me or H (who is home sick today) and we will help them.

How did the doctors at the ER leave it yesterday? Were they going to run more tests or refer him to another dr? I hate that he's still in this much pain.

I've been thinking back and I haven't eaten anything different this week from last. The caffeine is the only change. A Google search told me it stays in the milk for around 5 hours after drinking. I had one at 6pm. By her motn feeding at 2 am she was fine and not upset or arching to nurse. And none of that this morning. I think/hope we're in the clear now.

Poor guy mwhip, sounds really painful. Hopefully he can get the pain meds today and there is some follow up tests from the Dr’s. You’re doing a really great job of keeping her on track, it’s so hard when it’s time to parent your parents. I’ll be thinking of all of you and sending love, hopefully there are some answers just around the corner.

tgrimes I wish I would have stayed the entire time. I know my mom was upset and didn't hear everything. It sounds like the doctor just gave them a pain script and sent them on their way. Since the CAT scan showed no kidney stones, there was no referral. Obviously something is going on, to cause the kind of pain that brings someone to their knees? The pain meds will only help him feel better and sleep, not solve the underlying cause. So I hope they do go to urgent care, if nothing else than to see a regular doctor or get some kind of follow up. I was no impressed with the ER dr. He acted like he was put out by the entire situation. I get it...his situation isn't life threatening, but clearly my parents aren't the type that are there for fun, attention or just a pill prescription. My mom is such an emotional person, I really need to figure out how to help her with appointments. Clearly, I get my emotionless soul from my dad.

My FIL borrowed MH's old hunting Jeep that he uses for driving through the woods so not to tear up his good truck 4 months ago (we have 3 vehicles and only 2 of us so no big deal) because his truck was broke down. Well, once he got his truck back he kept telling us we could come get the Jeep back because he was done with it. Well, don't you think if you borrow something you should return it...not put the people who helped you out. He lives an hour away. He finally brought it back to us...4 months later...and dropped it off while we were at work yesterday. Left a note on the counter that said "Jeep has a half tank of gas and the back left tire is low, but I did see it". When I pulled in the driveway I noticed immediately that the back passenger glass was busted out. So I texted MH and asked him if his dad said anything about it. Nope. So he texts his dad and asks about it. His dad swore up and down it wasn't like that when he parked it. Well there is literally no way something could have done that once it was parked. There is no trees over where it was parked. About 30 minutes later his dad called and said he found glass in his driveway where it was parked and he must have busted it while mowing (rocky area, probably threw a rock from the blades). But I guess what I don't realize is how the hell did he drive an hour and not realize the back glass was busted out?! And of course we only have liability on it because its an old clunker and not worth much. So no glass coverage. So today I will need to call around and find out how much a new glass for it will cost us.

I got a ton of cleaning done yesterday. I can never sit and relax at home when all I see around me is stuff that needs to be done. MH better finish the rest of it today.
I have a massage tonight before TKD. I hope it can help work out some pain in my leg. At the beginning of the month I thought I pulled a muscle, but 3 weeks later it still hurts. I either tore something or it's just from compensating due to hobbling around in this stupid boot. My toe feels much better. I think it will mainly just take some time and stretching to get it moving again. It's my thigh muscle that hurts now and is greatly restricting my range of motion. I'll see what the doctor says Friday, but hopefully I'll be cleared from the boot and that will correct the issue with my leg.

lfig I'd ask him to pay for the window. And make sure he is not allowed to borrow it again. It's a pretty shitty way of treating someone elses property.

Hey. MIL picked the girls up early-ish this morning to take them to a park to play and then back to her house for lunch. They should be home in about 1/2 hour and I’m not ready. I did some gardening this morning and then ran an errand. Now I’m eating lunch and watching some tv. Not sure what we will do the rest of the day, probably go to the pool. Did I tell you guys about the baby bunny in my garage? Yesterday morning I discovered it when I was getting stuff out for the girls to play with. I tried chasing it out but it just went back further into the garage. In the evening I tried to get it out again but it evaded me and stayed in there. This morning I was able to finally get it out. I did not want a dead bunny corpse in my garage, so I’m glad it left.

Poured myself a nice cocktail and was making dinner in anticipation for MH to get home. Then I realized it's 3:00... I thought it was like 5:30.... I sware I looked at a clock? Are all my clocks and phone clock broken? I don't think they're moving. I still drank the cocktail.
