Biofeedback. I just don't have the time/mental capacity/pto to handle one more appointment every week. Oh goodness. I don't blame you. How daunting.
How are you managing them now? Is it sustainable? Perhaps when you have a child who is not so dependent on you, you can make the time, but that sounds like an overwhelming prospect right now.
600mg of ibuprofen and caffeine or just riding it out. The problem with OTC pain relievers is they cause rebound headaches so no it's not really sustainable. I'm looking for recs for other headache specialist in my area so we'll see if I can get in somewhere else. The other problem with the person I've been seeing is their office hours are really short so it's really inconvenient. I\

klw, yikes! I'm so scared of this happening in our house too... SO many small toy parts everywhere despite the fact that I'm always picking them up and putting them away in places DS1 can't find them. PennyCandy, have you ever tried acuptuncture? Sure, it's not for everyone, but I used it for awful pregnancy-related headaches/migraines with DS2. I felt improvement after just one session and the headaches were gone after 3 sessions. I was pretty flabbergasted because I'm such a western medicine person. Biofeedback is supposed to work well for some people too, if and when you can find the time for it (I understand that complication!).

I have been in packing and moving Hell. We are finishing up tonight and have moved to my mom's for the next 1.5 months. I am so exhausted.
We left the kids with her tonight so we could finish up. As we were getting ready to leave she decides it's a great time to tell us "that for the past 7 years since you've been married you've done nothing but fly by the seat of your pants. I mean you got married and then started grad school." I cut her off right there.
And she wonders why we have a strained relationship. H and I have busted our asses professionally, have 2 kids, and have quite a bit of equity in our new, kick-ass house that is a great investment. By normal people standards, we're doing just fine.
It makes me so mad because my brother and her stepson, while doing okay, are not nearly where we are or were at their age. And that's completely fine. They've had to bail both of them out of some situations meanwhile I'm over here checking off boxes.
Anyways, I'm not trying to come off as a pompous ass here and brag about my life, I just cannot wrap by brain around the nerve to say that to us.

klw, thank goodness she was okay. I’m so paranoid of DD putting tiny toys in her mouth. She got a little round wheel in her mouth at my SIL’s and I got lucky that I just happened to see it go in and was able to grab it back out.

doublestuf, so let me understand this... your mother told you this because you are going to live with them for a very brief period of time when transitioning between two homes? That doesn't sound like a fair judgment at all. SO OFTEN the timing of moving doesn't work out right. I know so many people who have lived with family or in hotels while waiting to close on a new house or while waiting for new construction to be complete. Plus, aren't we ALL just kind of flying by the seat of our pants?!? (I know for sure that I am)

doublestuf Even if you are flying by the seat of your pants with everything, I'd say it's working for you. I hope the next 1.5 months fly by.

doublestuf what a bunch of crap. You should be proud of yourselves! And good luck for the next few weeks. When H and I were waiting for our house to be built, we were trying to figure out which set of parents would be the least annoying to live with. 😂 Luckily, we were offered to rent a neighbors house while his company sent him out of the country for a year to work. It was perfect timing!

frecklesnbrains, it was TERRIBLE timing. H and I were trying to leave to go back to work on the house for one last time at like 5:30. We were hoping to already have finished and weren't. We were so exhausted and just done and then we get her unwarranted two cents on our lives. And yes, to a degree I think we are all flying by the seat of our pants. Almost every decision we make has some degree of risk. klw, unfortunately my mom is very much the more aggravating parent to live with, but she has the most space. As of September 7, we are going to a family house. It's just being used for various events until then. We used it the entire time we did these several years ago. Like for you, it was perfect timing. We had a rental lined up and then things fell through. The good news is that we are paying basically no housing/very little utility costs the next 4 months, so we are saving a lot of money.

I've been in a funk the past few days. Not sure if it's related to my period that is supposed to start in a few days? But I feel tired and generally not happy

Poor L had another rough night last night. He screamed for nearly 2 hours straight! And then he just would not settle and go to sleep. It was obvious he was in serious pain. I was worried something was serious wrong with his stomach because he seemed super gassy and kept pulling at his belly. Then he seemed fine this morning and went to daycare with no problem! They said he napped a bit more than his usual but was his normal happy self all day. Then the screaming started again when he got home and nothing could calm him down. We took him to the after-hours clinic at the pedi and it turns out his infection got worse. It's now in both ears and his right ear was way worse than it was on Monday. They prescribed a different antibiotic that he'll start on tomorrow (he fell asleep before we could pick it up). And now he is sleeping soundly and was fairly happy falling asleep. Ear infections are crazy! I wonder if the a/c running in our house bothers his ears.

I am at the lab waiting on blood work and this guy hasn't stop talking since I've been here. I don't even think his wife /gf is listening to him. 🙄

Z woke up sick again. Poor kid cant catch a break. I didn't feel great about sending him to daycare, but his temp is only slightly elevated and we're short staffed at work so I didn't have a much choice.

Haley does not want to crawl anymore. I don't get how last weekend, she was only taking a few steps to last night walking around the family room and into the kitchen! She doesn't even need to hold onto anything to stand up anymore. Where did my baby go??? ðŸ˜

PennyCandy Hope Z feels better soon! L seems much better today! He actually ate all of his breakfast and took all of his morning bottle. He slept through the night too. Only thing now is dealing with the antibiotic poops. He had a massive blowout this morning.

For the past 4 nights, Charlie has woken up, screamed and refused to go back to sleep for quite a while, so and H and I are exhausted. The weeks before he was sleeping amazingly well. My mom is at the beach this weekend, so I'm considering CIO tonight because he is otherwise falling asleep on his own and doesn't even want to nurse MOTN. I see no signs of a tooth/EI, and when those are the case he is up all night. I feel little guilty because it's likely due to the transition, but he didn't do this the first few nights we were here. Plus, I don't get to choose when we are here alone.
