Week/fruit/EDD or how old is baby: 35w3d, mini lop rabbit FTM, etc: STM Appointments: MW home visit Thursday, massage next week! Team: Green Symptoms: fatigue, waddling, scoliosis/sciatica, muscles spasms, BH, occasional reflux, slow digestion, swelling from heat wave Milestones: The baby *might* have responded to DD talking to them... or just the fact that I sat in bed. Rants: I think my mild scoliosis is getting worse as the baby gets bigger so my waddle is this weird unhealthy limp. Raves: Got some more minor sewing done. I wish I had fixed my stretchy sundresses before the heat wave cooled because man it was hot this weekend! We're getting closer to having a play space in the basement so I will be able to sew more when DD is awake! GTKY: Do you follow a certain parenting style? (Inspired by me procrastinating reading the book "soft-spoken parenting") I was leaning towards attachment parenting since we do babywear and other attachment-y things but we definitely have our non-attachment-y rules. Hence why I'm supposed to read "soft-spoken parenting." I am a believer in the the "love languages", I'm currently finishing up the book on children's love languages.

Week/fruit/EDD or how old is baby: hi guys! Sorry for being MIA. My sweet baby Russell was born on 7/17 after a long/awful labor but a really smooth and peaceful delivery! Heās now 5 days old!!
FTM, etc: STM
Appointments: 2wk appt on 8/2
Team: blue
Symptoms: my milk came in but Iām FF so Iām just in a bunch of pain trying to get it to dry up!
Milestones: nothing really to note yet
Rants: Iām taking an increased dose of Zoloft but Iām still feeling a lot of anxiety. Trying to use as much mental strength as I have to push out the intrusive thoughts. And leaning on my husband and my mom to keep me in a good headspace. Overall I am good, much better than with my daughter. I just need to focus on the positives!
Raves: this baby is super chill. Really eats well and overall just easy. Iām thankful for that. Also seeing how much my daughter loves her baby brother makes my heart feel like itās exploding.
GTKY: Do you follow a certain parenting style? (Inspired by me procrastinating reading the book "soft-spoken parenting") Not really. I try my best to be as gentle as possible but I donāt always hit the mark.

Week/fruit/EDD or how old is baby? 37 on Wednesday, due 8/14
FTM, etc: STM
Appointments: OB today, every Monday here on out. PT tomorrow. Aiming for twice a week until delivery but not sure if Iāll make all of those.
Team: pink
Milestones:
Symptoms: BH, pelvic pain, constipation, canāt get comfortable ever, Iām huge
Rants: Iām so ready to be done with work. Trying to hold out as long as possible to get a paycheck as long as possible. Iāll be taking many weeks without pay and itāll stretch us thin. Financial stress sucks.
Raves: we decided we are going to make it legal so weāre headed to the courthouse next Friday (unless baby comes before). I ordered a really pretty white lace maternity dress. Weāll still do proper ceremony and reception in April. Very excited!
GTKY: no specific style really. I do tend towards gentle methods. I know I struggle with holding consequences and itās something I really have to work at.

Week/fruit/EDD or how old is baby: 36w3d papaya 8/16
FTM, etc: STM
Appointments: tomorrow w OB; GBS test, plus I want confirmation that baby is head down
Team: Blue
Symptoms: BH, heart burn, achey pelvis, hemriods, lately fatigue
Milestones: will be ātermā on Friday!
Rants: I have no energy lately. I put my toddler down for a nap on the weekends and instantly pass out on the couch. I wanted to wash baby toys, install the 2nd camera monitor, etc. Nothing baby related got done yesterday. Also when I remind H that we need to set the pack and play up in our room he visibly cringes. Like ready or not, dude!
Raves: I only have 4 weeks of work left! I think I will wfh the last week so really only 3 weeks in the office left!
GTKY: Do you follow a certain parenting style? (Inspired by me procrastinating reading the book "soft-spoken parentingā. I never really read up on the parenting styles so Iām not sure what I am. I didnāt baby wear w DS1 but I would like to with this one, more for convience. We did not co sleep and I donāt plan too. I did BF for a year. I try to not be a helicopter type mom but sometimes I have anxiety like when heās on the playground. And I try not to yell, which I was doing great at until a few months ago when DS hit the terrible 2s. Discipline - I find time out works best. So whatās that style? Lol

Week/fruit/EDD or how old is baby: He was a month old yesterday, so hard to believe!
Also, apparently I had my due date wrong. When I went to the hospital, it was in the system as 7/15 which means he was born at 36w4d.
FTM, etc: STM
Appointments: My six week check up is August 5th.
Team: Blue
Symptoms: Iāve had some clogged ducts because he has some trouble with eating due to coming early, but itās getting better.
Milestones: Heās a month old!
Rants: None, really. Can you believe it? Lol
Raves: Little dude is such a good baby and we are really enjoying him. We are just happy that he is healthy after his scary start and that I am getting healthy after the complications I had.
GTKY: Do you follow a certain parenting style? Not really. I just go with the flow and do what works.

Week/fruit/EDD or how old is baby: 2 weeks today!
FTM, etc: 3TM
Appointments: follow up for bp issue today. One month appointment for baby on 8/8
Team: blue
Symptoms: why do I still get heartburn?š
Milestones:
Rants:
Raves: He's still really chill and easy. My other two are in love with him and it melts my heart. MH has been a rockstar with the house work and kid shenanigans.
GTKY: Do you follow a certain parenting style? (Inspired by me procrastinating reading the book "soft-spoken parenting") Not really. I'm probably a hodgepodge of whatever my instincts are telling me. If I was having a specific issue I'd research or read about how to deal. But so far it hasn't been necessary.

Thanks for the due date list! We are so small (but mighty!)
Week/fruit/EDD or how old is baby: due 7/31
FTM, etc: 4thTM
Appointments: tomorrow
Team: green
Symptoms: so much heartburn. Everything hurts and I'm dying.
Milestones: really freaking pregnant
Rants: I thought I might have high BP this morning, I went to bed with and woke up with a splitting headache so I ran to Walgreens to get a BP cuff. The cashier managed to say every single one of the things people say that drive me crazy š "this is your fourth kid? The other three are girls? Oh I'm so sorry, I hope this one is a boy for you. I bet it is, you're carrying so low. How old is your oldest? FOUR?! Oh dear, your life must be really hard." COOL THANKS. Oh and BP is fine, thank goodness š
Raves: I live in the sweetest neighborhood. We are on the younger side, most of the people here are my parents' age, but as a result they have all kind of adopted us as surrogate kids and they are all so sweet. So many of them volunteered to help watch my other kids when we have to go to the hospital, which had been stressing me out because my mom will not be in town until mid-August and DH's family is going through a crisis/family emergency I don't want to distract them from.
GTKY: Do you follow a certain parenting style? (Inspired by me procrastinating reading the book "soft-spoken parenting"): I try to loosely follow attachment/gentle parenting, but my parenting style leans heavily toward "do what it takes to survive, lather, rinse, repeat."

cookswithwine: The main reason I want to read the book is because we instated a "no yelling" rule in our relationship and intend to continue with our kids. But it is so hard not to yell sometimes. Especially now that I'm so far along that chasing my toddler through Winners is almost painful and she was laughing defiantly (this happened today for the second time, so at least today I was prepared for her to say "run away" and take off). Also, babywearing is super convenient. I love how they can be close without taking up arm space & how easy it is to maneuver with a carrier than a stroller. I like reading that everyone isn't married to a certain style. I've met parents on all sides of it and I think mid-line is just a lot less pressure. I remember pre-DD wanting to do a Montessori room (so a floor bed). Instead, DD needed a crib to feel secure, you never know what kind of kid you'll have. I like looking at the attachment parenting stuff because it gives reasons & studies to support things that my MIL thinks are "spoiling" like "holding the baby too much."

I lean toward attachment parenting. It's just what feels natural. Especially when they are itty bitty.

Week/fruit/EDD or how old is baby: Baby was born on July 15th via RCS with a clear drape!
FTM, etc: 3rd baby
Appointments: the 28th for baby. Not until end of August for me though. š¬
Team: blue
Symptoms:
Milestones: He had his first blowout yesterday
Rants: 3 kids is hard.
Raves: this little guy is the sweetest little guy. He never cries. He's chill just being set in a bouncer and me walking away, which, with two older toddlers I need and my second would scream if we set him down.
GTKY: Do you follow a certain parenting style? (Inspired by me procrastinating reading the book "soft-spoken parenting") I am an eclectic mix of parenting styles lol basically I just do what feels right for us

Minor panic this morning since I was suddenly dizzy & nauseous while brushing my teeth then needed to go to the washroom shortly after. I assume it was just low BP and pregnancy because I am not in labour. š (itās a little early at 35w5d)

@kore I have never had a Hollywood water breaking and I kind of want to this time! For some reason I just had a feeling that's how labor would start for me this time around.
Of course it will probably start with the Cervadil tampon of doom in the hospital being induced at 41 weeks, FML haha.

My water broke in dramatic fashion both times. The first time was at home and I was wearing a night gown so it went all over the place. This time it happened at work. Thank goodness I had pants on because it helped contain it.

Had horrible gas pains all day yesterday. I was questioning if I was in labor because being this pregnant makes me question everything I feel. But nope, just gas.
Trying to get the last of the to-do list knocked out this weekend. Plus sleep and rest and try to enjoy the last of the days without an infant to care for.
