We are going in 2 weeks. Any pointers or tips I need. I never did a week at the beach until DD1 was 3. We will be staying in a condo right on the beach. DD2 still takes 2 naps a day. I don't think she will nap on the beach, but who knows.

It was a few months ago, but we were able to get DS to nap in our arms on the beach. We didn't try to lay him down except inside our condo, but he did pretty well in arms. Also, expect to change some very sandy diapers, because something about sand looks delicious to babies.

We took DS2 to the beach in May. I took him inside for his naps, which was fine with me because I needed a break too (red hair and sun/heat don't mix well). A sun tent/big umbrella is super useful - it's quite possible he may have slept in there if I hadn't wanted to go inside. And yes, I changed a lot of sandy diapers.

+ 1 to something to create shade. i would also just take her inside to nap. some kind of minimal beach toy-- DS3 loves "digging" in the sand with a shovel. a hat if she'll wear it.

She and I melt in the sun, so going inside was a nice break. But +whatever to the umbrella or tent and a battery operated fan, like the ones that clip onto a stroller.
