I’m up with who other than the only early riser in the house, B and he’s stuck right beside me on the same chair. There would be no point to us owning a mansion and us having more space 😐.

The birthday was good yesterday and today is another chill day hanging out. Feels nice to not be rushing around for once.

I’m sorry A is sick wineallthetime and your poor sister! Our power flickered a few times and I was super scared we would lose it but it held strong.

I’m finally feeling like myself again. Just a couple dizzy spells a day when I’m being too active.

Yesterday was super busy. The cats had their first vet visit, I had to pick something up at my parents, then a bday party, a Target trip where C spent all of his money on Beyblades, then a minor league baseball game with fireworks. It was fun but a lot.

Today I need to grocery shop and I’m hoping to get a pedicure. C wants to go to the arcade so I’m sending dh to do that. C wants me to take him to sky zone but I know it’s going to be packed and I can’t jump because of my vertigo so it doesn’t sound appealing. Maybe we can talk him into the Lion King.

M slept till 7:30 and H till 8:15. Both kids are still whiney but that’s to be expected.

We didn't get home from the pool party until after 11 last night. Evie had so much fun. Its 10am and shes still asleep!

Nothing much today, we need to take the extra wood back to home depot and put the grill back in the deck. We had a cold front come through last night so it wont feel like an oven outside today.

Rant ahead:

All week long we’ve had contractors at the house to patch up the drywall, re-texture, install new doors, etc. the dishwasher still isn’t installed because they haven’t finished patching up the wall behind it yet.

The house is a disaster. When I got home last night, the sippy cups the kids used from the morning I left are still in the same spot on the table as when I left. Dishes are piled up in the sink, there’s a white layer of dust all over the floors, counters, furniture.

MH literally did nothing while I was gone. Want to know where he spent the entire day yesterday? At his friends house on the other side of Houston helping him landscape around his new pool. 11 hours of manual labor.

Wtf? Why couldn’t you do the damn dishes, or dust, or mop, or grocery shop for our house?

I even washed all of our clothes at my sister’s house before we left because I knew we’d be going to his parents house tonight since they just got back from vacation. Now I’ll be spending the entire day trying to get our house back together somewhat.

Yes, I realize it will get dusty tomorrow, so I’m not trying to make it spotless or anything. But this is freakin ridiculous.

Random. Has anyone here been divorced more than once! Someone I graduated with just got divorced for the second time (I'm 33) so I was just curious about here. That'd suck doing that multiple times! I'm not in touch with her so no clue what her situation is.

The state of my house lately has me annoyed too. There are about a half dozen chores to complete and I'll probably end up doing them tomorrow on my only kid-free day otherwise they probably won't get done. 😠

MH has been divorced twice but I don't really count the first one because it was a young person's dumb mistake soon after high school and only lasted a few months. I think they were unaware of annulments.

Last week after they finished the pipes, we found a mouse in the sink. It was disposed of and we got the walls patched up quickly.

If one had died in the disposal, wouldn’t I be able to smell it in the sink? I smell it in our laundry room and in one of the kitchen cupboards.
