I called and they said the incoming flight had to switch out aircrafts so that caused the delay. |

Definitely talk to someone at the airport about it tgrimes. My flight got delayed 11 hours once (stuck with 2 kids) and we ended up getting comped for meals and $400 credit per person. |

A has worked with and rode to and from work with the same guy for 4 years. But he just switched jobs a few weeks ago and now they dont see each other much. It's been very hard on both of them lol. The birthday party was for his son. We were there for 6 hours..... I tried to get A to leave for over 2 hours.... it was ridiculous. Like it's almost 10 and the kids haven't had dinner and are obviously starved and A cant understand why they're grouchy and we needed to leave..

Hey. It’s been a long day. I worked bright and early this morning. And around 8 a huge storm rolled in with up to 70mph winds. It was pretty crazy to watch from my desk. When the storm was over the temp dropped so it only got to mid 70s today. After work I came home and dh left to go to work immediately. I got to work on digging a giant hole to plant my tree. It ended up being about 3ft wide and 16in deep. I had to wait until DH got home to move my massive tree into the hole. It’s all planted and staked now. I am laying in bed, going to fall asleep pretty soon so I am well rested for work tomorrow morning. nam2013 look at Walmart, Walgreens or CVS for after bite. It’s a clear liquid you put on your bites and it makes them feel better instantly.  |

nam2013 melatonin will help for the sleep. Get everyone a gif night sleep and you will all have a better attitude. You can get kids gummies at any drug store or grocery and there is an adult dose listed on them. Benadryl should help with the bites and itching (and sleep)

I went swimming this morning then came home for lunch with the in laws. Then after a short nap E had a party down the street. Finished off the day taking SD to IKEA for her 18th birthday

I am so over this heat. Running is gross, being outside is gross, being inside with two hyper boys is just no fun... I feel bad leaving DH with them midday to head to the airport but I don't have any choice. I'm actually really looking forward to this trip - which makes me feel guilty - for the break in the heat and some good face time with my dev squads. It's been 6 months since I've visited to spend time with them rather than get squandered away with one partner or another.
Anyhow both boys got mohawks, except really the sides and back are just a bit shorter than usual, the top on both is pretty normal. So it's a bit more obvious if we gel it up, but we can also comb it down if they want. Everyone is happy.

Tons of people here are without power. We got lucky and ours just flickered a few times. My poor sister has 3 miserable sick kids, no power and a super hot house. They ended up at my parent's house because it was just too hot.
