I'm here! I'm tired...we stayed up til 11 watching 'The Next 3 Days.' I don't stay up that late on weeknights so I'm dragging today.

Both kids went to bed at 9:45 last night and then woke up at 6:30. They were having so much fun playing outside with all of the neighborhood kids though.

I'm at work, but my officemate is out today, so it should be nice and peaceful.
When I picked up Cadence yesterday she asked if she could eat at CFA with her friend, so I had mh text her Dad and when he got home he took her to CFA to eat and play with her friend. So I ate a sandwich in the peace and quiet while catching up on Married at First Sight.
I've been dealing with what I thought was a tension headache the past couple of days, but now I'm wondering if it's a pinched nerve in my neck or something.

I’m here. I finished the last part of my college application. I’m currently feeding E and then C and I will take her to DC. Then head to the bank to get a cashiers check to pay for LO’s school. Swing by his school and drop off the check. We want to go see a movie and maybe pick out curtains for the dining room. The vertical blinds keep breaking because of LO opening them for Dexter so I want to get rid of them.

Morning. I stayed up late, too catching up on TV mwhip. I had to get up and hour earlier, too, so not wise. Nothing but work today. I’ll try to get to a workout class after. |

Morning.
There are some days at work where I'm watching the clock and others I'm contemplating buying depends to increase efficiency cause it's so damn busy, yesterday was a Depends kinda day. Hopefully today is better but I'll take a break to go surprise B because he is on a field trip to the legislature grounds, which is close to me. MH is at home moving 3 cubic yards of rock that's being delivered today, thank goodness I'm at work.

Morning. It’s a dreary day here which I didn’t expect. H is at preschool so it’s just me and N for a couple hours which never happens. We went to the grocery store and now she’s working on some Perler bead projects.
First night on the new mattress and H was in our bed at 2am tossing and turning the rest of the night so I’m not sure how to judge my sleep. Lol. But it seemed comfortable.

We have hit the three week mark of mh being home. I love it 95% of the time. The other 5% I want him to keep his flip flops in a place that is not in the middle of a room and to stop whining about school and DO something to fix the issues.

Yesterday contractors finished putting a stone retainer wall in our backyard. It looks so good. We need to do some work to finish up the back of the wall before we can till and plant. I'm excited for that though.
I also booked our trip to Victoria. The price went down so it was the perfect time. I'm excited. Plus we were able to book the ziplining tour.

Busy morning of meetings and now a break for a bit. I cannot get myself to do my school assignments and def not getting ahead for vacation, boo. On the flip side, only 2.5 workdays until vacation 🙌

I have some ridiculous questions that make me feel like a helpless fool, but here goes:
There are a bunch of odds and ends type things I need (that of course I was asking Pete to take care of for at least six months to a year) and I don’t really have the ability do myself. New screen door, changing some recessed lights, fixing the baby gate, putting up curtains in the living room.
I can just hire a handyman for these things, right?

cagoldi, damn girl, I wish I lived closer, I could help you out. In the meantime, does your neighborhood have the nextdoor app? You might download it and see. You can usually get good recommendations on handymen and such in your area from there. Heck, maybe some of your neighbors could even help you with various tasks.

cagoldi you are correct, hire a handy man. I would put a list of everything together and email it off to a few people and see the timeline and labour for everything. Also list what materials you have at your place or if you require them to pick it up, that may effect the price. Is it Angies list, that may have people available? For the non trade things is there a student for hire type of service there? We have it here and people put up jobs and the amount you're willing to pay, students accept it, all payment is through paypal, it's brillant. I used it a lot when MH was away on tour and I was on maternity leave with J.

Good ideas, girls. Thank you. I’ll have to get something together that’s a comprehensive plan for everything that’s needed.
My brother and SD said they could help when they’re in town, but I don’t want to rely on waiting for them. I should probably ask them to show me how to change a tire when they are here, though.

cagoldi, yes! Neither me or mh is handy. I scoured the Facebook parent groups for my town and the one next to us and called the names that kept coming up again and again. We hit the jackpot with a family of four brothers – a general contractor, two electricians and a plumber. The contractor is so helpful and never minds being called for the smallest task.

mwhip , I watched that movie a while back and I enjoyed it. I don't remember it being out 9 years ago, but figured with Elizabeth Banks and Russell Crowe, it wouldn't be terrible. I sat down at 9:30 thinking I'd watch a few minutes, then go to bed, but nope, I was hooked. I also DVR'd it this morning so we can go back and watch it from the beginning since I missed some important parts. |

cagoldi check out taskrabbit, they have lots of price points for handymen. We may hire them to help with a few odds and ends that we aren't sure how to do/don't have a ladder.

Had lunch with some old work friends and now I'm at the bank. Then grocery shopping. Then grabbing the boys from the sitters. I have 1.5 hours until shes hungry again. Hoping I can be back with the boys by then. That might be ambitious though.

Hey. Woke up to another big thunderstorm. The girls had classes at the outdoor campus this morning and I had to go in with S because she was scared. It was fine though. Then home for lunch and now naps. I told the girls if they are good we could go swimming after but their listening skills are not good today so I’m not sure if we will or not. DH said work is already slammed with prime day/every other sale purchases so he will be at work pretty late. I’m cool with a bigger paycheck so it doesn’t bother me at all.
