Morning Ladies! We got into LA on Tuesday, and woof it was a long travel day. Between our early AM flight and the time change we were struggling by mid morning. Couldn't get into the hotel until 3pm, so my H drove us up a mountain and Bea got car sick. Spent the evening at the laundromat...fun!
Today I'm headed into town to do some shopping and poke around, while H is with clients. Tonight we are going to an art museum to see a few Basquiats. He's one of my fav artists, so I'm pumped.
But first...coffee.

Did you guys hear about the IVF mix-up that happened recently? It would be so heartbreaking. A woman gave birth to twins that errantly were the genetic children of two different families. After a court battle one family got their genetic baby. But all around how devastating. That poor mom who was pregnant with those babies after everything you go through with IVF and then to not get a baby out of it. IVFThat’s crazy. How did that embryo get all the way to queens? |

Hey. We spent the morning outside in our yard. I was getting some more thing mulched and weeded before the hot weather this weekend. I also got 2 pots on drip irrigation so that will take a little bit of stress off me. I need to do 2 more. This evening is the funeral so we will be driving down, it’s a little over an hour drive, later this afternoon. peachsmama I’m so glad they got to meet! |

I loved it! I know there are some haters out there who think the pacing was too slow, but I really thought they did a great job with character development (especially with those fringe characters) I thought it was smart to have such separate subplots for different sets of characters — each like its own little mystery that all pulled together toward the end. I kind of like the Dustin and Steve duo. I adore Steve. He’s in Noah C territory for me. |

Hey ladies, I'm so glad they got to meet peachsmama! And go X cagoldi! mwhip you can't be the only person annoyed by these outings. TG I don't work there. I don't care for sports. I had therapy this morning and it was good. She wants DH to come in if he is willing so I need to have that talk with him. Basically I want to be his wife, not his best friend and it seems we have fallen into that. Aside from that just another crazy work day. DH is picking C up tonight and doing karate though so I am doing a solo Target run. |

lahdeedah I said by the front door and left it there and got the email confirmation. The lady at the post office apologized and said it sounds like i did it right, so must have been the carrier. I left work early bc flash floods are expected again and the skies opened up when I had to get the kids in the car. We were soaked despite having an umbrella. Now at home and waiting for the storms to get here. I have school work due tonight, so will be up late I'm sure..

I just stepped out of my comfort zone and set up a group playdate for this weekend. And people are actually coming!!! We're just going to a splash pad at a local park. Her friend who stopped going to dc at the beginning of summer is coming. Cadence is so excited!

Plus whatever to feeling like it's Friday. SD came up today so I had to work from home to let her in. She and E are having a special day together tomorrow and going to see toy story and do a few other things.
I'm trying to join a Friday evening swim group but it is at a private lake and the home owner won't send me her address. I'm not sketchy! I swear!

cagoldi it sounds like a great school fit! I hope it makes your schedule with everything work smoothly. Are you taking the rest of summer off classes? I’m still in my summer session right now. Not sure yet if they are going to put X at the same school where Atticus goes or a different one in the district. The one Atticus attends is our local assigned school and they like to send them there if possible, but the other one with SN preschool would probably better got his needs WRT to speech. So, it’s possible that X will attend a different elementary than Dude and Poppy. |

I just measured Cadence. She is 1 inch shy of 4 feet. I'm only 5'4. She's going to be taller than me by 2nd grade 😳

Well, we had an eventful evening...
S had 3 Seizures, first lasting 1 min, then 5 min, then 15 minutes. On the 3rd one, once it hit 5 minutes we had to give the emergency medicine rectally. And since it was the first time administering this med we had to call the paramedics to come because it can cause the heart rate to plummet. Thankfully, it brought her out of the seizure (although took another 10 minutes to stop it) and she didn’t have any issues with it. We got the on call neurologist at the hospital on the phone and she was comfortable with us not bringing her in based off the exam from the paramedics. She was back to normal a few minutes after she came out of it.
