They've confirmed I get to go home today and my nurse has 5 discharges, so shes pushing for earlier. Hopefully that works out! What is every one else up to?

Morning! My sister and I went baby shopping for my other sister, its a bit early but I’m not sure how often I’ll get so see her before December. Before shops opened we had an amazing breakfast. It was nice to get to spend a few hours just the two of us, sans husbands or kids . I’m now making teacher thank yous for the end of school year & I really need to finished packing.

Morning! peachsmama that’s adorable! FX you get sprung loose early! I’m on my way to STL. S has an appointment with the communication group today. We might be coming home with her communication device, but I’m not sure. 2 nights so far with the bi-pap and she’s surprisingly doing pretty well with it. I was all worried for nothing! Hopefully it continues!

Morning! I'm a bit hung over. MH should be home around noon and then we are heading up north, so I'm just packing and cleaning until then.

Good morning. I survived the dentist with all 4. DD has 2 teeth I thought were still coming in but apparently they are something called micro teeth and I have to take her to the orthodontist to find out what to do with them. C has a pretty severe lip tie according to the dentist. I guess I was lucky he had no issues with feeding.
Today the kids will be forced to clean their rooms because they are a terrible mess, especially DD’s.

lfig small?! That pool is almost the size of my back yard! So much fun! Lol! It’s just 14’ round. That is where it’s going to be for now. But if it goes well and isn’t too much of a pain, we have another spot picked out to make it more permanent next year. If we do that we will pour concrete for it to sit on and build a deck around it, and probably connect it to our back deck.

Our back yard is sort of L shaped, 7&14 feet wide, 22 long, so tiny! But of course that the downside of European city life.

She is so precious peachsmama! Glad S is doing well at night lfig! Also I am adamant 9 months out of the year that I'd never want a pool. But man, are summers rough...

Morning - After a couple days of feeling near-constant dread, I think it's lifting. I need to pay more attention to whether it's normally tied to my cycle or if this was just a coincidence, but man was it extreme! DH is also feeling better today and aside from being a little slow this morning, was helpful and appreciative of me sending him back to bed before getting the boys up yesterday.
Colin has tennis this afternoon and I'm really disappointed about this program. I thought it was 6 sessions but it was only 4; we missed the first due to them rescheduling without notifying us (they refunded us, at least) and the 2nd week because of vacation. Then last week was off because of the holiday, so he only has this week and next. DH said he'd pay to send him to a club if he likes it, but how is he even supposed to decide over 2 sessions? Sigh...

Yay for an early discharge, @peach! I always thought c-sections were a 5 day stay. I would be itching to get home, too!! And what’s sweet picture! 💕

Am I the only one who was ok staying longer in a hospital. I knew I would get 3 hot meals and help if I needed it.

The food was awful & the constant meddling drove me nuts. After dd I was how three hours after she was born, perfect. ETA but I never had a c-section, so who am I to say.

I stayed the full two days plus a little bit of change with Josie (and I was miserable staying), but with Charlie I hit that 24 hour mark asked the ob if I could go home. It might’ve been because it was a baby-friendly hospital so no nursery.

lfig glad to hear S is doing well! I'm jealous of the pool! We keep talking about getting one similar to what you have, maybe next summer since the deck is causing a mess in our backyard currently! I heard that our CEO is planning another goddamn ball game outing. It's a Thursday night 7:15 game, the company is renting a bus to take people to and from. I'm not going...I told our receptionist, who is planning everything, that I wouldn't go and she said I was on the list to go. I said Nope, my H plays softball on Thursdays, I'm not sending my kid somewhere for the night so that I can go to a ball game I don't want to go to, plus not get home til midnight and be expected back at work at 7 the next day. Not sorry. He needs to have more respect for peoples personal time.

I had 2 scheduled C Sections. With S I had him on a Monday and was released on Wednesday. I think standard is 3 days, but the 3rd day would have been Thanksgiving so the drs probably wanted me out. I had the easiest possible recovery with S. Like I was up and around that night and felt great, so by Wednesday I was itching to go home. In retrospect, like mwhip, I enjoyed having the nursery and help and all that and I sort of wished I had stayed the extra day before jumping into it at home. With B I also had him on a Monday but I stayed till Thursday. I did not have an easy recovery at all and definitely needed the extra day. Plus heading home at that point meant I'd be caring for the baby and S so it was nice to have the extra day of "just" the baby. I will be having no more children, but if I were to have another, I would probably stay another day, assuming the hospital wasn't too bad.

I was so ready to get out of the hospital with C. With L I was fine staying because it was a break from C and they had a nursery! 6 weeks with A was a tad long though lol. They had really good food though. My favorite meal was 2 la croixs, chicken tenders, potato wedges, fruit and vanilla soft serve with peanut butter cups on it haha.

wineallthetime that does sound good! Over here imagine the worst TV dinner from the sixties and then multiply it. How in the world do they think that is supposed to make people better?!

With L I was all about getting home. With E I wanted to stay longer but the nurses said I didn’t have a reason to stay longer. I think mentally one more day would have been good.

So work this year changed who handles our fsa/hsa/etc. I’ve submitted claims and they have been approved but I haven’t seen the money. I’m banking on that money coming this month so I can pay for L’s school tuition in full next month.

Hi ladies.
No C-section, but the first time I couldn't wait to get out of the hospital. Mostly because I did not get any quality rest. When I actually fell asleep they were waking me all night long for vitals checks. It was really annoying. The second time I felt so much better and went home 3 hours later. I was happy recovering in my own bed. If I had a better hospital the first time around staying longer would have probably been fine.

Thankfully we got the passports ordered yesterday. I was so frustrated with my husband though. He waited until the last minute to get the birth certificates and almost didn't find one (his filing system is horrible) then he left the paperwork at home. He was being an ass when we got there and instead of taking a seat because the clerk was clearly helping someone else he was being antsy and annoying and said we'd have to come back another time because they wouldn't have enough time to get to us before they closed. I thought for fuck's sake you may have all day but I took off work to be here so sit your ass down and quit being rude. The clerk was friendly and helped us even though it went over time.
Yes I Canada!
