I found these helpful (and a little panic inducing haha) with my first.
With most of us approaching or in our third trimester, what do you have on your to do list to prepare for baby?

Oh boy, it’s a doozy 😱 -Finish laying flooring in nursery, add baseboards, touch up paint from floor glue -put together crib, wash all clothing given to us and put it all away -Find a glider, either second hand or new -Decorate and organize nursery -Clean our the garage, make room for all the storage bins previously hidden in the now nursery lol -Take SO MUCH JUNK from our back yard to the dump! -We should probably baby proof things before he even gets here, because lord knows it’ll be hard enough doing it with a mobile little death trap seeker 😭 -Make about 3 months worth of meals to freeze if I can manage it This is just what I can think of off the top of my head, let alone the basic cleaning I’d like to get done. I’m starting to freak out a little!

1. Wash all the baby stuff (blankets, cloth diapers, clothes, etc) 2. Make freezer meals 3. Buy a couple things? 4. Around 36weeks we will install the car seat bases and make hospital bag list

1. Make to-do list 🤣
Seriously, though, MH and I were just talking about this last night...how we need to sit down and make a list of all the things we need to do to prepare now that 3rd tri is on the horizon and it's going to go by fast.

I’m mostly done 🙈
- new car seats for DS1 and DS2 and get them installed. I can’t fit 3 across in my car with our current ones. Install seats in my grandmother’s car as she’s our back up for the boys and install the base in DH’s car
- finish baby laundry
- put together swing
- put together ceiling mobile and shadow boxes
- pack hospital bags (I do this at 32w as a precaution)

Everything. Lol
Nah. I have everything I really need at this point, I just have to clean, organize, put together, etc. I’m hoping my nesting instinct comes soon, maybe that will kick my ass into gear. 😂

This makes me want to vomit. Here’s the list:
1. Sort and wash baby clothes 2. Check on the functionality of my spectra/sterilize parts 3. Buy a new (used?) car with third row 4. Sort/restock cloth diapers 5. Set up pack and play/bassinet in our room 6. Start buying big girl furniture for DD1 and slowly turn her room into a shared space (figure we can do this a little at a time) 7. I already washed the infant car seat, install bases at the end of September. 8. Buy a few items with registry discount (newborn pacifiers, bibs, wet bags)

Yeah my list is way shorter this time, but I did toss all my bottles, nipples and Medela breast milk storage stuff from the last kids so I need to get new. Also get a breast pump. And wash stuff. And get my kids to stop sleeping with me.

-Get set up with new hospital, cancel appointments at current place. -Curtains for nursery -Bring newborn stuff up from the basement and wash, organize everything. -Put wall decor up on the walls in nursery and master bedroom. Right now it's on the ground and taking up space that we need for the bassinet. -Order bassinet and other random things I need. -Pack hospital bags -Clean cars, move C's car seat and install base for infant car seat. -PICK A NAME

- MOVE (yikes. I have started majorly purging and packing but moving with 2 kids whilst pregnant is a lot of work. Thankfully I am off work in the summer and we have lots of family and friends willing to help) - pick out fabric for my mom to make me a new nursing cover (I’m picky and my old one is in rough shape) - wash my newborn cloth diapers - get my newborn clothes back from my sister and wash it/put in drawers - double check bucket seat expiry, wash cover, install at 36ish weeks - buy a couple little things like d-drops and new baby toiletries - make a batch of breakfast burritos for the freezer - pack my birth center bag

This stresses me out!
- sort and wash baby clothes - buy a new car bc our Escape won't fit three carseats
I know there's a ton more but I'm drawing a blank.

The escape is similar in size to my fusion, and we can get three seats across by getting slimmer ones for the boys (it’s way cheaper than a new car for us) and using seat belt install instead of latch

moonandback141 we are having to work on the sleep thing. We got into a habit of me falling asleep with DS (4) in his room while H handled DD (2) when I weaned her and now we need DS to fall asleep on his own. Last night he fell asleep at 10:30pm with his lights on, but numerous times he came out and didn't want to go in alone. Hopefully it'll get better and better as time goes on.

I'm impressed you can do three across in a fusion. We have other issues with the escape (camera broken, undercarriage falling off) so dh really wants to replace it.

That’s how we ended up with the fusion! My Sentra lost its exhaust system for the 3rd time, and we finally decided to spend the money to get a newer car. I had to do a lot of measuring and research to figure out what seats to register for. I wouldn’t be surprised if I have to do some gig sawing to get them to fit properly and secured correctly, but I think we’ll be okay. Once mine is paid off, DH needs a new car so we really can’t afford to replace the car whereas new seats aren’t the end of the world money wise

Oh gosh. Everything! I guess the major item is almost crossed off, which was "buy a bigger house" so now that it's almost out of the way, I can focus on getting things ready. I'm looking forward to that!
