Thanks guys. I took the day off of work for the first time ever on my bday. I’ve napped, snuggled cats, got my first ever massage, and now I’m watching a lifetime movie. So pretty good day here.

My dad sent me a nice email saying this day 38 years ago was the happiest in his life. Very sweet but I do have a brother so I’m head tilting a little. My husband went to work before I got up and is working late tonight. I may not see him. There was no card and no text/call as of yet.


My birthday vent:

My mom has made everything about her over the years (we share a birthday)and she’s being very extra this year. Even telling me we are going out to a fancy dinner on Saturday without C. Umm don’t you think I might want to spend MY birthday with my son? Ugh. So we got a sitter for Saturday and I am ordering the lobster or other most expensive item in spite. Then to include C and my brothers family, we are having a cookout Friday night. Again I wasn’t asked I was told. I’m sure it will be another chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and she will pester me on why I’m not eating it even though every year I tell her I don’t like chocolate on chocolate. I’m sure she will get me jewelry even though I don’t wear any. Just the usual. I have therapy Thursday so I’ll work through it then.

nam2013 I had an abnormal pap once and also needed a procedure to remove abnormal cells. That was 16 years ago and I’ve had normal ones since. I hope its a similar situation with your sister. Keep us posted.

vino thank you for remembering, yes, actually tomorrow is my last day. The girls here (there are only like 9 of us) all took me out to lunch today, it was super nice. I am feeling oddly unemotional about everything which makes me feel like I will probably break down at some point!

I start the new job Tuesday so I have a few days off in between.

inthekitty your chores list brings me back to Saturday boot camp with my dad. My mom had to work and my dad made us do all of our chores before we could watch Saturday morning tv. I did sneak on the old black and white tv to watch some fuzzy Saved by the Bell while folding laundry a few times.

slenle, oh no! Will he bear any weight on it? When C fractured his ankle and I called to see if we should be concerned they told me if they can't bear weight then definitely get seen.

wedding, not delightful. My in-laws get MH a terimesu (however you spell that, not bothering to Google) every year on his birthday. It's literally the only time they ever have it and MH hates it! Bizarre.

I think he’s doing better. He’s bearing weight, just a little limpy. He’s swimming just fine. He’ll walk a bit and then complain it hurts but otherwise is his normal self. So we’re going to wait until morning and see.

Had a really rough weekend, but feeling alright ATM. Just trying to stay in the right headspace. It’s very challenging because Pete is still coming over everyday to hang out with the kids, which is great and we agreed on this, but he wants to have a very in depth emotional discussion all the time.

Today, he suggested renewing our vows (speaking of a head tilt, wedding!).

That’s making it hard to stay where I need to be with focusing on the kids.

I’ve been trying to keep up but things have been insane with trying to cobble something together for babysitting Poppy. My mom doesn’t get back until next week.

It doesn’t look like I’ll get around to reading the threads from the last few days but FX I can at least keep reading along at this point.

nam2013 I missed your snip, so I may be completely off track. I have had a couple abnormal paps, although not during pregnancy. I had a Leep and Colcoscopy (no idea how to spell that shit and I'm not googling), both are relatively 'easy' with no down time. I would assume the procedures could be done while pregnant unless the abnormal cells are in her uterus.

Regardless, I'm sure her doctors have experience with this and will give her and her baby the best treatment available. Keep us updated!
