I'm assuming we are leaving the baby blog specifically for peachsmama updates? I'm still home. Waiting on the guy we hired to do our deck. Going to get him set up, then head to work. Hopefully this job goes smoothly, but we have shitty luck. I took evie out to MILs this morning. There was a dog on the shoulder on the other side of the highway. Traffic was so bad. When I came back, there was a police officer in the same area, so hopefully they picked it up and took it somewhere safe. I guess evie told MIL about it and cried. So she was able to give her a good update.

Morning. I slept like a rock and had some busy dreams. We were about to leave and the skies opened up and flash flood warnings, so we are waiting them out. Apparently there have been a dozen water rescues already. Quite the Monday morning..

Its 8:20...the dumpster is here but not the deck guys. Trying to decide how long to wait before texting him. He lives 5 minutes from me and knows I'm waiting for him to get here before I leave.

Morning sweet gals.
I had everything put out for the gym this morning but J wet her bed MOTN, I’ve been able to avoid a sheet change with both kids so far in almost 6 years, so by the time i was done that she fell asleep right away but I was wide awake in my bed at 1:30. Lame.
Anyway, onwards and upwards. We’ve got another rainy day and I just want to curl up with a blanket with a new Netflix binge; but here I am on transit, committed to the fine people of this province heading to work.

Contractors are so frustrating! They really do work on their own time, when I had my deck built they’d come and go as they pleased, it got done but damn it was a test of my patience. FX he shows up soon.

My allergies are kicking my ass and my back is too. I'm in a foul mood and I get to work and the lawn dude is blowing leaves and shit into the air and doesn't even stop as I walk by. DUDE, YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO STOP!!!
Mh and I went to see Midsommar yesterday. We got into an argument that last most of the afternoon, so we weren't really in a good place, but maybe it was good that we had to sit next to each other, but not speak. I'm tolerating him at this point. Anyway, the movie was crap. It started at 4:05 and ended at almost 7! TOO LONG!!! It was weird and pointless and the characters were not likeable in the least. They call it "folk horror", so I guess I'm going to avoid it in the future. Mh of course loved it. We're so opposite when it comes to horror.
So I'm at work and I don't want to be here(nothing new).

The plumbers were supposed to be here at 8. It’s not the end of the world if I have to leave a key for them but I kind of wanted to talk to them before they got started.

So apparently these storms are legit and it's flooding a room at school, which may need to close, so we are settling in for a work from home with 2 kids kind of day. Humph. I may as well go put on comfy pants..at least lunches are made, just in the fridge at this point.

Hello! Good day here! FIL picked up the big kids for the day! They're going to fish and go to the park. They want to keep them overnight, really hoping the kids want to! We are going up north on Wednesday so I'm packing, doing laundry, cleaning, ect!

I thought you meant she woke up to a wet sheet. But now my question becomes... is your not yet 3 year old night trained? That's bananas!!!!!

I thought you meant she woke up to a wet sheet. But now my question becomes... is your not yet 3 year old night trained? That's bananas!!!!! LOL......i love your live stream of thoughts. She is in pull ups and peed through it, which means that it was just twisted a little on not on her butt fully, so she woke up and i went to tuck her back in and realized that she was wet and peed though on her sheet. But yes, I havent ever had to change sheets MOTN with either kid, B was a heavy wetter but I used a nighttime diaper then put a cloth on top and it kept it contained for the night. If this happens again with Julia I'll get some cloth pull ups to add to her butt. ETA: no she isnt night trained. She isnt even day trained fully, home girl goes when she wants but tells me 'not quite yet' when I ask her if she wants panties on all day. She has until she is three then I'll do a weekend boot camp or something with her to potty train, but hopefully we can avoid that and she decides before then.

vino B pees through his nighttime diaper but it doesn't wake him up. He'll happily lay in it for hours. And he has less than 0 desire to potty train. I am dreading it with him since he is the most stubborn child I've met in a long time. Last night was the first time I actually even got him to sit on the potty for an extended period of time (maybe 5 minutes). And with his tummy issues all spring I just never pushed it. He will be 3 1 month from today, so it's time I started. Going back to the conversation a few days ago about favorite ages/stages - this almost threenager is... not a favorite right now. He is driving me bananas. Homeboy has a lot of opinions. A lot.

The kids all slept until 8 today! DH is back to work and T was legitimately confused as to why he would go to work in the summer. C is napping so I got my lazy self back on the treadmill/rowing machine then showered. I piggy backed T to mini golf the other night and he yelled “good thing you work out when we are at the other house!” DD is working on her summer packets and has requested we go to the library. Other than that and maybe a quick Costco run, we are having a lazy day. DD has her first official gymnastics practice at the next level up tonight. Tomorrow I’m taking all 4 to the dentist then going swimming at my sister’s.

tgrimes I hope you get dismissed from duty! klong11 I also have never had jury duty. The one time I received a summons, I had moved from the county I lived in to a different county (this was during my first divorce) so I called them and informed them I no longer lived there. Really worked out for me! The contractor showed up right around 8:30. It's him and his 2 teenage sons, he expects to have the deck ripped off today and start pouring the pads. We have a chance of rain tomorrow and he said as long as it isn't pouring, they will still work in the rain. He said it may not be 100% complete by the end of the day Thursday, but it will be usable. He has to have Friday off to go out of state for one of his sons ball tournaments, but will come back Monday morning if necessary. I told him that was fine. We are saving so much money using him, I'm fine if it takes an extra day or two. I also warned him about the 3' black snake we saw in the back yard, that slithered under our patio, he said if he sees it, it may not live. I told him that was fine, H was going to kill it when we saw it, but he was too slow.

jewels I'm not a fan of J right now either. She is too smart (read stubborn) to be redirected or distracted like B was (or is still). She is very decisive and there is no going around it. have kids they say......

Morning. I'm in the office for my first full week post-vacation and post-July 4th and it's kind of depressing. I got a few little personal items cleared up first thing this morning (waivers for camp field trips, birthday party RSVPs) but I feel this sense of foreboding, like there is SO MUCH I need to do but mostly it's checking to make sure DH is on top of bills and appointments. First off, I know he's not and second, I hate nagging him. Even after our debacle with the electric company shutting us off last year (and the water company almost doing the same a couple months ago), he refuses to let me take anything off of his plate but he also hasn't gotten any more organized. It drives me up the damn wall and makes me so anxious. AF came yesterday morning so I'm trying to remind myself that if I just hold tight, I'll stop being quite so annoyed in a few days. I also woke up feeling awful that I was so low-energy/crampy yesterday that we didn't go out with the boys. Neither was clamoring to, but as long as it isn't raining, I feel like they should be getting outside. Apparently I'm just unhappy/annoyed in general, hence TRYING to keep my feelings to myself for a few days.

FX he shows up soon. Argh... This is what keeps me from pulling the trigger and getting started with our deck project. I can't stand working with people who don't stick to a tight schedule, and I know that's just not how contractors work... I am also comfortable with the guy doing the deck. He painted our living room and the stairway leading to our lower level last spring. He has painted the interior of my moms house as well as painted her kitchen cabinets. So I know he is better than other contractors I have worked with before and that makes me less annoyed. Especially when he showed up and told me they didn't get home until midnight last night, and him and his 2 boys were still there around 8:30...I'll give you some leeway. I don't expect long hours since it's in the 90s this week. Unlike our tile contractor last spring who showed up a day late and worked 4-5 hour days, then asked H if he could come back in a month to finish our backsplash because he was due to leave town the next morning. Dude, work 8+ hours shifts and you'd be amazed how much work you get done.

Hey! We met my ILs at the park this morning and had lunch there. SIL and niece leave tomorrow so it’s the last time we got to see them before they go. We are hanging at home for a little bit and then will go to the pool with friends to celebrate one of the kids birthday.
