I accidentally knocked the bottle of bleach off the shelf while starting the laundry at 7am. The cap popped off and it went every where. Luckily it was the thicker splash-less bleach. The basement is tile and there's an old bath mat in front of the washer so no real damage. I just threw one of the dog towels over it and went about my business. Guess I'll be mopping down there during nap time.

Dd is 5 months today! I took her pictures this morning but the computer is being dumb and not opening iPhoto so I can't load them to edit. God help me if I've lost all the pictures on there. It's been a couple months since I backed them up. Happy 5 months to my fellow caboose, Baby Pibbs pibblemom!

Happy Thursday! Do not want another day without Tapatalk though. M has been waking up crying around 5:30 for over a week. It throws off my whole morning bc normally she sleeps until after I shower and pump and get ready. This phase needs to end soon!
Tonight I have to pack for our trip and tomorrow we all get on an airplane for the first time. Definitely nervous but excited to see DS experience the airport and airplane!

Good morning! Working from home today. Trying to sneak in a chore or two. We're having a big cookout this weekend and my house needs to be halfway presentable. At least the main floor, anyway.

Boo about the bleach Lakes. At least you didn't damage anything important. I don't know if it's the lack of sleep, but I'm clumsier than I used to be too. I was droning along yesterday morning prepping daycare stuff and I spilled 5oz of bm. Stupid clumsy hands. 😩 Good luck on the plane carrots! Where are you off to?

Heading to Chicago to visit my sister and her husband! I'm so excited for see her. And it's DS's first trip that's not to the beach so I'm excited for him to experience something new! Oh and I've been spilling while prepping daycare bottles lately too! I don't know how I got so clumsy but it's definitely worse than usual so probably from being tired.

Lakes, I'm happy to hear there was no damage, bleach aways freaks me out. I'm sure some day I will come to you for your sage bleach clean up advice. We are going to the children's museum with my parents and my sisters kids. My toddler loves that place but I find it bit overwhelming. I'm excited for tomorrow though the girls are getting professional pictures taken since we didn't get infant ones done.

It has been crazy at work and I am just so over it already and it's not even ten yet! Q has done better the last few nights with H taking over so that's good. carrots good luck on the flight. I have been debating on whether or not I can do a flight solo in August. It is a direct flight but it us overseas so I am on the fence. It is both my mom and dad's birthday and one is a milestone year so I am torn.

I hope your flight goes well tomorrow carrots. I know my toddler would flip out, in a good way, if we were st the airport. Kid loves his trucks and planes. I hope you manage to get some stuff done judyblume14, I love BBQ season! ellabee milk is worse! My mom totally overfed dd when we were out last Saturday. I came home and was like 😱 Where is all my milk?! Around 12oz in 6 hours, but she should have been sleeping for at least two of those hours. No duh she spit up three times. neekoneeko I feel the same way with kid's places, zoos, etc. That's why I like to go as soon as they open. Yay for cute kid pictures! ambiguousmango hiiiiii! Hope your work day goes quickly.

Work day is kinda dragging.
MIL/FIL threw around the idea of taking DD down the Cape with them even though DH/I weren't planning on going until Sunday morning. At the last minute the plan fell through, but not until I had thought about how nice it'd be to spend some quality 1:1 time just with B. Womp womp.
It's funny how with DD I often felt overwhelmed with 1 kid. Now it's almost like a vacation when I just have 1 to deal with. Bedtime with just an infant and no toddler running around like a mad woman? Easy peasy! I wish I could go back in time and tell this to my single-kid self.

+1 ellabee my sil is being all "I won't be able to do x,y, and z with the family this summer/fall because I'll have the baby." It's so hard not to yell "girl please. It will be a potato baby and sleep all the time! I would kill for that. Do all the things nooooooow!"

She made a comment the other day about how it's nice that my brother works from home so if she needs him to watch the baby so she can fit a shower in she'll have that option. In my head I'm running through all the times I've been solo with both kids and still gotten a shower in lol...

ambiguousmango take the flight! He's only going to get harder to travel with, so I definitely say get the first one out of the way earlier. I'm more nervous about how DS will do on the flight as a toddler and would be feeling more confident if I had flown with him before. I'm flying with just M in August and think that will go smoother. ellabee and Lakes YES to the 2 kids feels. Whenever my parents keep my toddler overnight, it feels like a breeze to have just M around. My sister is due end of July and keeps talking about being nervous for the transition, etc and even though I felt the same way and totally remember that, it's so much harder to relate to now that I have 2 kids. Also she's nervous about the week her H goes back to work...when the baby is 6 weeks old. My H was home for 1 week with DS and 3 days with M so it's hard to relate to that even though, again, I know that's a big mental hurdle no matter when it happens.

Oh hello life twin carrots. Mh took a week with ds and two days for dd...those two days were when I was in the hospital. #stillbitter It's definitely a shock either way. One kid is mind blowing and such a life shift. Two kids is more drowning and crap hits the fan until you figure it out.

He was working like a mad man doing all these side jobs while I was pregnant because he said he'd better get them done before the baby came. Well, B arrived and he didn't drop a single thing. I have to release it because thinking about it still gets me ragey.

I feel like my kids conspire against me. DD hasn't gotten up in the motn in quite a while. When she's down, she's down. Well last night B sttn (first time in a while), but DD got up and woke me in the motn to pee (first time ever). Gah. What I wouldn't give for an uninterrupted 8hrs of sleep.
ETA: At least DD woke up with a dry pullup. She had regressed recently and maybe we're back on the path to overnight potty training...

I just wish he had done it before I had dd! Oh well.

Today I need to get stuff done because we're leaving for the shore tomorrow. Did I get a magical double nap? No. Boo.

carrots, I'm so nervous about our flight to D.C. area in September. And less so because of the kids and more so because of H. I have a sinking feeling I'll be dealing with the kids almost entirely on my own and I'll probably be the one driving to our lodge. ambiguousmango, Work has been crazy for going on 3 weeks and this week has been the worst. I'm so exhausted. I can't wait to get out of town after work on Saturday! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Sorry that I've been MIA this week. Work will not calm down! I'm over and done with it. Burn out is a thing this week. Lucky for me, my supervisor spoke to the service manager who is going to talk to the GM about getting me a raise. Fingers crossed it happens soon.

Hai frands 😍
I'm so buried by work and all the things. Liam has sensory processing disorder and will likely be diagnosed with autism.
Carter (Ds1) is switching schools because just for the last year he has been told he should kill himself and he should die by kids in his class, and I only just found out on Tuesday, the second last day of school. So full of rage towards the teacher who just let that happen and told my son he should just ignore them instead of telling me it fixing the problem.
And Lottie is teething.
And yesterday I got the flu. Lol. Thanks universe.

Holy shit ashtog. Big creepy internet hugs. I hate hate hate that kids can learn to be so nasty to each other at such a young age. Big wtf to that teacher. It's awful that ds1 had to deal with such bullying, I can't even imagine how both of you are feeling. I'm sorry about L's diagnosis. Early Intervention is key and hopefully will help with his sensory issues. As for Lottie's teething...whiskey? For you obviously.
