I’m taking a short break from my family. We did a 7mile bike on the path and ended at the new splash pad. It was close to 90 today with 80% humidity so even I stuck my head under for a second. Then we came home and dh laid down while C and I built a cat tree. Half the cost of the ones in store but putting it together was rough. It would have been a lot quicker without my helper.
We are going out to Chili’s soon and I’m hoping the cats check out their new tree. Eevee hardly comes out during the day and Marty comes out a bit but for the most part they save their energy for about 9pm on. Then they are insane. I’m hoping the cat tree will make them want to hang downstairs more during the day. Max slept all day too but at least near us.

Mh was complaining that the party was going to be 2.5 hours. Then he ends up staying for 4.5!!!!
My kid is burnt and I'm pissed.
On the other hand Cadence was apparently the only kid to show up, so I'm glad she went. I just wish mh would have used better judgement and applied sunscreen more than just when they got there.
She is currently naked and slathered in aquaphor.

A is 16mo tomorrow and I'm feeling sad cause I just put away the high chair and got out the booster. Where's my little baby!?!? He learned how to flip the high chair tray off and would immediately just flip it and all of his food off even though he wanted to eat still. My other kids never did this so I'm kinda proud of him? Lol Nope. This is impossible. You just had him yesterday. Right!? And he was TINY! Now he's really just a toddler. I feel like he will walk in the next month or so and then I really can't call him a baby anymore! ***Whispers**** he's still my current "favorite" because he sleeps like 12-14 hours a night with no fuss, naps like a dream and is content to entertain himself. Plus, yesterday he got my wine (on accident) and I'm pretty sure he loved it so now I think we really get each other. |

Nope. This is impossible. You just had him yesterday. Right!? And he was TINY! Now he's really just a toddler. wineallthetime - I'm glad you said that, even if mostly in jest. I think Chase is my favorite right now because he's nuts but he's also so damn sweet when no one is paying attention. He gives awesome cuddles and pats my back when I pick HIM up. Col's such a tough age right now while things with Chase are so simple. I remember hearing some podcast about not having favorite kids but having favorite ages/stages and for the very first time, I totally get it.

A is the amazing sleeper and sweet personality so he has it now, but I see those toddler tantrums coming and he will so lose his title. I think I can use some of the info they sent me for their reason for denial against them in my next appeal. Lol. I know I’ll probably end up having to pay for the lab work but I can’t do it without a fight. Thanks to the free market we get to pay dearly for the best care. 🙄😒😠 Seriously, I'm sorry you're dealing with this. Dealing with insurance is ine of my most hated parts of adulthood. Give those fuckers an earful. |

Your bike rides sound like a lot of fun wedding. I'm glad it sounds like it was a peaceful passing trtlcrzy. Thinking about you. Ugh, so much on your plate lfig. I hope your husband speaks to someone if he does need to talk. So often the high performers carry that stuff with them throughout their career and then sometimes unload once they reach retirement. I was like a turtle stuck on its shell at one point during labor with Cass. Lolz. I'm glad A came to your rescue peachsmama. |

We all had fun doing something martial arts drills.
Now the guys are at a poker tournament and the kids are playing outside. I'm doing a puzzle and watching UFC. I love seeing scrappy ladies kick the shit out of each other. #ladylike

peachsmama feel free to ignore this and tell me to eff off, but have you tried any relaxation/massage/meditation to try to get labor going? I know you've tried just about everything else. But there is some research support that fully relaxing your body and muscles can help things to open up a bit and get going. If you're interested there are some guided meditation clips on YouTube and apps.
