Last night the fireworks were amazing. The whole beach was just a mix of professional shows and random people with too much money to blow. My younger sister left today in the same 15 minute span that our next set of friends arrived and my nephew who lives local showed up so it was a bit crazy. I’m now at the house with C while he naps. Tonight there is a neighborhood block party with a live band so we will probably hang out there.

The wedding was pretty much a disaster. Unsurprising since it was out of state and about two weeks of planning went into it.
At the end of it all, my mom seemed happy though. I’m sure I’m going to hear more about the behind the scenes stuff when she gets back into town next week.
The boys did great, and my sister was able to come along at the last minute.

joelies go to the bar in the Hancock building for a drink. You have the best view of Chicago. No reservations at the bar, you can take the elevator up and down without purchasing anything. Best view is in the women's bathroom.

We dropped the kids off at daycare, had a boozy lunch, went to ikea and then to a couple places to look at doors. We’ll be getting all new interior & exterior doors. The re-pipe starts Monday so I was hoping our guy could come Thursday to patch up drywall and start with the rest of the crap we want done. Not sure if it will work out or not though.
I’m doing dishes and laundry and then we’ll get the kids. We might go to my in laws to swim and cook dinner over there since they’re out of town.

Thanks guys. She’s been in poor health for quite a while, I can’t remember if I told you all the story or not but she is the one that had the frostbite on her toes this past winter. My house is mostly picked up and I got the beds ready for my mom and sister.

My mom cleaned my house, while I was at work, which was amazing. Dh is out with his friends. I’m watching the let down and crying and laughing with recognition.

@trrlcrzy sorry about your aunt.
Alarms for all doors have been ordered from Amazon.
Also, evies crown fell off last night so I need to call and get that taken care of.
We can shoot fireworks off today and tomorrow still. So of course we went to the fireworks stands and bought more of the things we really liked since they're on sale. But it's raining so I'm not sure when we will do them.

It took a long time before I fell asleep, even with her in bed in between me and H. H is inviting some of our neighbors over for fireworks this evening, I want to make sure evie goes to bed by 9. I really think she was overly excited/tired last night, and that caused it. |

I came home from work and had a bad stomach ache. MH took the big kids to his cousins to swim. I laid on the couch while A crawled around. The best.
