I'm at work and so tired. We went to a parade and then to my parents to hang out for the afternoon/evening. MH is off today and I was sooo tempted to call in, but here I am!

Hi hi, I'm awake. Mh just left for work and the kids are wide awake. I have to work today from home, so my mom is supposedly going to entertain the kids. Hopefully we survive the day. Kids were so tired after fireworks, N was asking to go to bed. I am excited to go out tonight after bedtime, we don't have plans, but I'm hoping out for sushi.

No one made it last night. We did sparklers at the house, and finished up around 745. Both kids were dragging, so off to bed. Today and tomorrow a neighboring town has a carnival with a fireworks display so I’m hoping to catch one of those. I’m taking the kids to the beach while mh sorts through some data for his AP scores that came in recently. He likes to nerd out on the numbers.

I had my APUSH teacher call me over the summer bc I got a 5 and she was shocked! Apparently I wasn't on her radar to do well despite having an A all year. I think I peaked academically and with motivation in life in high school, as I get by with the bare minimum now for school work.

Morning! DH and I caught the fireworks at Navy Pier (from a few blocks north) and went for a quick bite afterwards before passing out. It was so much hotter than we'd expected, it was exhausting. Then I couldn't believe how hot it still was at 6 this morning when I went for my run.
Not sure what the plan is today but right now I don't even care as long as the coffee keeps coming.

Cadence is at gymnastics camp and I'm heading to Ikea soon. I want to see what all is on sale and check out the desk for Cadence.
After that I'll pick her up and have lunch somewhere.
Mh is off today too. He and I weren't getting along too well yesterday, so we'll see how today and the weekend go.

A let me sleep in, he somehow kept the boys quiet until 9. Then a driver called me and the hospital to register me for Monday. So I'm trying to slowly wake up now. My brain went straight into over load. We have errands to run today and I need to do laundry.

Lazy day here. C is at camp and dh is at work. Me and the kitten just snuggled and watched a lifetime movie. Now I’m going to head to the mall. I need to get measured for new bras. I knew I did but yesterday my mom commented about how small my boobs are now. Not cool. I’m hoping I’m not too small. I’m also going to hit up a couple of stores and grab some lunch to go. My afternoon plans consist of a nap and nothing else.

He’s above the national average which has been more challenging over the years. First time in a while he said that there aren’t any surprises. He usually has one of two “good” students tank bc of stress or pressure. His classes were smaller this year (19 and 25). Last year he had 34 and 31. The more individualized attention, the better!

Morning.
I was hoping for coffee alone before anyone woke up, but as soon as I turned the Keurig on, M2 comes out. And then I couldn’t find the creamer I bought with me and come to find out my mom threw it away.😒 She thought my sister left it here earlier this week. Not cool, mom. Regular milk is not doing it for me, but I’m drinking it.
Not sure what we have going today. I need to figure out something.

It's usually harmless as long as they aren't trying to do things like go outside. I want to say one of kim22's kiddos sleepwalked as well.

We enjoyed our neighbors' fireworks last night. There are always several who set off big ones. Then I watched The Purge 14: Purgier Than Ever. I'm a sucker for those kinds of movies.
I'm at work today but there was no traffic coming in and hardly anyone is here. I plan to take it really easy. I'm going to do a little work, catch up on the blinds, and watch Yummy Mummies. Those bitches are insufferable.

It's usually harmless as long as they aren't trying to do things like go outside. I want to say one of kim22's kiddos sleepwalked as well. I woke up at 2:30 last night thinking I could hear here cry. I didn't hear it again, so laid my head back down, then heard it, so I jumped out of bed and ran to her room. Her bed was empty, so I said her name because I could hear her. Sounded like she was downstairs, so I ran down there and yelled her name because I couldn't find her, but could hear her crying so hard, she was coughing and having a hard time catching her breath. She was in our damn garage, in the dark, crying and scared. Freaked me the fuck out. She said she didn't remember going down there. We talked about it more when she woke up and she remembers the light from the HVAC, said she thought she opened and closed the door to the garage a couple of times before she went out there. H said we need to put a gate up at the top of the stairs. She has done this once or twice before, bit never gone downstairs before. I think its caused by being overly tired. But I'm going to track it.

I just unfriended one of my cousins on FB and it feels oddly satisfying. I've done 30 day blocks several times and decided I'm done. Peace out.

That's scary, mwhip! For you and for her. Col sleepwalks a bit and it's pretty much impossible to tell he's asleep. We have a gate up at the top of the stairs and he's never tried opening it. Even if he did, it's next to our door so I'd hear him immediately. It definitely eases my paranoia.

mwhip how scary! We have gates and although they were intended for when they were little, we still have them and use them every night. Gives me some peace of mind.

I really think the only reason I heard her is because our bedroom is over the garage. Otherwise, I don't know how long she would have been down there.

Hey. I’ve been doing laundry and cleaning all morning. TW: I got a call from my mom that my aunt is on life support and there’s no brain function. I don’t have much for details yet, but now my mom and sister are headed here so I have to get a room ready for them. DH is at work today so I need to figure out a game plan for getting up to the hospital without the girls. mwhip that’s scary! It annoys me that H learned how to unlock the garage deadbolt. She had never sleep walked but she could get out there if she wanted.

DH and I went out for a walk to Navy Pier and ended up renting bikes - totally his idea - and riding all along the waterfront. It was so fun! Then we grabbed some pizza and beer, then came back to shower. Trying to decide what to do for the rest of the afternoon but just enjoying not being sweaty for the moment!

A few months back, T had a sleepwalking incident but my oldest used to be really bad. I was also a sleepwalker and I’m still a sleep talker.
