Good morning! We are currently on the way downtown to do the 5k walk we do every year. I probably won’t check in much until later. After the walk is a parade and then lunch. Naps for everyone this afternoon.

We’re hanging here to swim today. I have snacky appetizers planned for us, so we can graze all day. We’ll head over to the green tonight to watch some fireworks. Josie will make it, but Charlie is the wildcard.

Happy 4th of July. Not much planned. e and I go to Disneyland for a couple of hours then E will nap and I will bake red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. Then to my uncles for dinner and fireworks.

Morning! Happy Independence Day!
We’re up early headed down to my mom’s. My grandparents are grilling for lunch so we’ll be there just in time for food. Not sure what else is on the agenda except hanging around the house. We’ll probably do fireworks later this evening.

Morning and happy 4th! Everyone be safe today!
We will head to my dad's this morning for lunch and swimming...except it's supposed to rain until 4ish, which is when we need to head home to get ready for everyone to come over for fireworks.

Sitting on the tarmac at O'Hare listening to this poor woman try to wrangle her 2 boys, the oldest looks to be about 3. Not jealous. Looking forward to getting off this plane for some breakfast and hopefully a bloody.

I've decided to embrace the schedule of having a c section. So I'm cleaning house, laundry and mowing today. That way Sunday I can do a once over on the floors and hopefully just a load or 2 of laundry. I need to make lists/schedule for everyone helping with the boys. And an animal care list. We need to go to Verizon and get A a new phone and get M's iPad reset.
I also messaged the photographer about scheduling newborn photos but shes leaving on a 10 day vacation 😭 so now I have to find someone else and I'm so bummed

Morning. I went to bed before 11 and it was glorious. I may run to Ikea to get some rug pads and check out their curtains and duvet covers. Later we will head to my moms for the parade and fireworks. Is it bad I kind of hope the predicted thunderstorms happen in the city? Not to rain on anyone's parade or anything 😉. Everyone I know/work with is making a point to NOT go downtown today.

But I want 3-5 day pictures. She leaves Thursday and will be gone for 10 days. So she'll be over 2 weeks old by the time we can get them in. |

Happy Independence Day!
We’ve had kind of a lazy morning; B got some fishing in, and he and DH just got back with more sparklers.
My dad is doing his famous ‘mixed grill’ later on (ribs, wings and smoked sausage) and mom and I are working on sides and apps. My aunt and her family will come over later for dinner, fire/s’mores, and sparklers. People all over the lake do fireworks so we can just sit back and enjoy those.

Happy 4th ladies. I'm right there with you tallb. Or that the weather is perfect so theres no excuse for it, but the crowds are really small (like his black heart). Our city does their fireworks on the 3rd so we went last night and it was beautiful. I appreciate it for the working folks. Today will probably be lowkey. Maybe some cards/board games and last minute prepping for our weekend guests who arrive tomorrow. |

At the park with the kids. MH went with a couple of the dads from last night to some bourbon tasting thing. After H’s nap we’ll go to my in laws to swim. They’re out of town for a few weeks.

Regular work day for me, I've got a mentor meeting/lunch for a couple hours but other than that I'll be pretending to work while keeping up with the Blinds uninterrupted.  |

Just got back from the park. They were doing their annual bike parade and stuff. Cadence was so excited to see one of her little friends riding in the parade, searched for her at the park and then the little girl straight up ignored her. Cadence wanted to come home after that. ☹️ It was stupid humid out there, but a cool breeze was blowing through, so not as bad as last year. I did feel a little out of place surrounded by red white and blue and I'm rocking a black llama shirt. 😆 My rbf is on point this morning! 🤣🤣   |

The inflatable pool is filled and E played for a while. I did a morning swim and now in will waste naptime in the blind thread

I left all the kids at the house with my BIL and DH and I met up with his 2 friends he was with the first night we met and their wives. One of them we see regularly but the other we hadn’t seen in 10 years. He’s still with them one beach down but I came back to our beach to check that the kids were ok. I’m now sitting all alone and it’s wonderful. There is a DJ on the beach now and there will be music and fireworks all night.
