Thinking of you cagoldi. My best friend's STBXH played the blindsided card, despite it being his actions (really finally being fed up with his actions) driving things. He’s not doing that so much anymore, he acknowledges what brought us to this point and I think he does want to do better. It’s just that I kept telling him what we needed and he couldn’t hear it. I am not mad, so much as very sad. I want to love him, but felt that for my own sanity I had to put up some walls and now I don’t know how to get back to having any romantic or sexual relationship with him. 🤷♀️ |

cagoldi making the decision and moving forward is so much better than living in limbo. It's still hard, and will be for awhile, but you are moving in the direction you need to find your happiness. I hope you enjoy the weekend!

The email I received for evies DNA test didn't work because the company is having issues and their IT will be sending a new link...I still haven't received anything.
I did get everything on my list done today and am waiting on H to get home so we can head to the game.

cagoldi, it's unfortunate that some people don't take matters seriously and realize what's at stake until it's too late. I agree with mwhip, moving forward and making definitive decisions is a better place to be than standing still. Wishing you strength and thinking about you.

I think I've got MH convinced about staying in the resort in Victoria, B.C. A mini vacation is just what I need to look forward too. It looks drop dead gorgeous and there's hiking, ziplining, swimming, and a spa all right there. My toe should hopefully be healed by then. Plus I think the drive would only be about 2 hours and a ferry would take us the rest of the way. I'm all about relaxing on the ferry instead of driving.
I filled out the paperwork for the girls' passports today. It looks like a birth certificate is sufficient though. We'll confirm with the passport office. I still plan to get them passports, but we may wait until after the trip in case we can't get them in time.

Victoria is so nice inthekitty! When are you planning to go? Is the plan to just stay around that area? You could head up north to Tofino and get some surfing in. The resort looks like a dream, apparently the spa is amazing according to a friend of mine that lives near there. |

I want to see Butchart Gardens and hike. Those would be the main things on my agenda. Check out the city. I've never been. It's not that far from me so if it turns out to be something we enjoy I'd love to go back more and see different sights. I feel we're finally at a place with the girls where they're at an easy age to travel with and as far as my job I've got vacation time saved up. I need more to look forward to in life. |

Long day here! Beach this morning/afternoon, ran a few errands once we were all back and showered, and now the kids are getting ready to relax with a little tv.
We went to the library yesterday and picked up the kindergarten 100 book challenge. I like the idea of it, but we go to the library a lot and the kids love picking out their own books so I don’t want to force ones on them just because they’re on the list.

Lake Louise is gorgeous, there’s really just the hotel there and the ski hill on the other side of the highway. But the view is gorgeous. A lot of people fly into Calgary and do the highway from Banff, Lake Louise to Jasper, it’s a great tour of the Rockies. ETA: I always forget there is the Columbia Icefields along there as well, you actually get on a huge vehicle and can go walk on a glacier! It’s very cool. icefieldsparkway.com/ |
