It’s quiet today...I’m totally a pw today. July starts our busy time at work because that's when delinquent taxes get turned over to us. I have collection reports coming out my ass right now.

Morning. Yesterday was a chill day, MH took the kids out while I cleaned the house and in the afternoon we went to the outlet mall near the airport, so many deals, I'll have to go back alone to really check it out all the stores. I got a Kate Spade tote that I'm in love with. But as for right now, I'm at work and have a pile of work to get to, lame. Pics of the tote!

Morning. I stayed up too late again...I did pass glucose test, so that was a relief. We tried banza pasta from Costco that is made from chickpeas, and it was pretty tasty! Def recommend if want to up fiber and protein (and is gf/vegan). What are people's thoughts on shorter curtains? I can't see any pictures of rooms styled with them, and yet Pottery Barn kids sells 63" length ones. I love how long ones look, but we don't really have a ton of space in the kids rooms and need furniture under the windows. We have curtain rods installed so I'm inclined to use them rather than take them down patch/paint. Currently we have long ones in the shared room that go behind the changing table/bookshelf and looks like a hot mess since they are too long and beige in a grey room -aka super ugly. I have short curtains in M's room. She has a dresser under one of the windows. The other one has built in cabinets, so I didn't really have a choice there. H's room has longer curtains because the shelves under the window don't cover the entire length of the frame.

Morning! MH caught whatever B had last week and was sick last night. He is OOT and I feel awful for him b/c he has to work outside all day today. He said he's feeling a bit better today but hasn't eaten yet. Also, selfishly, he is supposed to come home tonight and is only home till Friday morning, when he leaves for 2 weeks. I was hopeful for him to do some quality parenting during that time but now I fear he will be holed up in bed! Not selfish at all!

inthekitty , how's your toe? Are you still booted up? It feels much better. It's no longer sensitive to touch. I can't bend it though have to keep it stabilized. I'm still booted for several more weeks. I have a follow-up appt. on the 26th and hopefully I'll be cleared by then. What sucks is my fitness test for the army is the weekend after this. I'm excused for that, but still have to make height/weight. My chub makes that difficult. I can't do any cardio with my toe so I've been getting creative with workouts. I can mostly only do arm and ab exercises so I've been doing a ton of those. I can tell my waist is trimmer although I haven't lost any weight (my body loves fat and holds onto it like it's preparing for a worldwide famine). I used to hate push-ups but I started on a personal challenge and built up to 100 a day so I'm trying to keep that up for at least a week. This is day 5. Thanks for asking.

tallb I really only like short curtains when there is a window seat/built-ins underneath, or maybe in a kitchen window or something. If you don’t want long drapes you could always do a Roman shade. I typically like inside mount but outside mount would conceal any old holes, etc. from previous hardware. lahdeedah I love sea salt—used it in my last laundry room. My sister’s MIL just used it throughout her entry hall/great room/kitchen at their new house and it is gorgeous 😍😍 Definitely has me thinking about it for our next stop!

flamingo, that's nothing compared to my nephew's rat tail. For some unknown reason my sister has not cut a much thicker rat tail on him since he was born. So at almost 7 now it's past his butt and a true sight to behold. When other's inquire about it she just blows them off and doesn't answer why she's decided to do this. If I was him or his dad I would have cut it off ages ago.

Boo, Cadence's summer ballet/tap combo class that was supposed to start tomorrow got cancelled. Not enough kids signed up. She still gets to take hip hop/jazz, so that's good, but dang.

My uncle has a rat tail, always braided and goes about halfway down his back.... it's really a shame he wasn't born female. He has beautiful black ringlets curls.

I read a few designer blogs that said it was a nice neutral and decided to sample it in the bathroom. Not sure about whole house, but if I love it a lot, I may bring it into a bedroom.

Morning! We are just hanging around home this morning. Actually, I might make the girls go to Lowe’s which they’ll hate. I’m trying to narrow down paint color so we can paint our house. This is the most recent sample I bought but I’m concerned it doesn’t contrast the stone enough. (It’s painted along the right side) This afternoon we are going swimming with friends. I like the color. Would you consider doing a griege since you don’t want to go dark for contrast?

I know, the Roman shade is probably the best bet in this situation. I like the PBK ones a lot but the sizes aren't right for an inside mount, which I prefer as well. I am not sure I like the cellular look, which is another common option. The current rods are high and wide so I'd have to patch/paint regardless I think..

Just put the boys down for naps. 3 hours in the pool, they better sleep for at least 3 hours. I think I heard "mommy, watch this!" At least 467843 times. Lol.
