courtniko, ugh I feel you about the maternity leave. I was kind of ready to go back to work after my first but this time time is flying buy and I feel like 12 weeks is not nearly long enough.

Baby's age: almost 8 weeks
Baby is the size of: not sure but he's definitely growing a lot. I would say around 12 pounds at this point
STM
Team: green turned blue
Appointments: 2 month appointment next week
Milestones: smiling and holding his head up more
Rants: all of us got a cold over the weekend and it is so sad when babies are sick. He's not too bad, just a stuffy nose but I'm watching him closely
Raves: we made a 3 hour road trip to go to a family reunion last weekend and DS did so good! I was super nervous but the whole trip went smoothly even though both kids weren't feeling the best.

Week/EDD/Baby's age: 2 weeks tomorrow
Baby is the size of: Likely around 7lbs?
FTM, Etc: stm
Team: blue
Appointments: in 2 weeks. At our first appointment things were going well and they weren’t concerned about weight gain thankfully.
Milestones: More awake time, getting better control of his head
Symptoms: my bleeding picked back up after slowing down for a week— normal?
Rants: mil is here which is great and helpful, especially since H goes back to work tomorrow... but it means I need to either feed in my room or cover us up... neither is a good option really because being in my room means I’m away from the big kid and covering us usually means O doesn’t eat as well and gets cranky. DS1 has been having a bit of a tough adjustment and told me tonight that he wants baby brother to live somewhere else. So basically I feel like I’m failing being a mom of 2.
Raves: DS1 really does love holding and “playing with” O when he gets to and it’s super cute. Breastfeeding has gone so much better than it did with DS1 (I ended up giving up with him after just a couple days). I’m excited that it’s going well and hope it continues to get easier.

Week/EDD/Baby's age: 10 days old
Baby is the size of: a newborn (should be back to birth weight 7lbs 3oz now)
FTM, Etc: STM
Team: pink
Appointments: next appt for both of us 7/13
Milestones: let me put her down for all of her naps today!! Victory lol. Although admittedly they were all either on her tummy or in the swing.
Symptoms: stopped bleeding Saturday and now having some random really dark colored spotting. So glam. Love my adult diapers this go around though. Way better than pads. Seem to be having a pretty easy recovery which I'm grateful for.
Rants: I wish she would sleep in her swaddle in the bassinet like F did. She will give me a nice long stretch at night like 6 hours (yes I should probably wake her before that to protect my supply but I just can't lol) but i have to hold her all night long or she won't sleep. I hate doing this, it makes me nervous and it kills my shoulder. F is also sleeping in my bed bc of course he doesn't want to miss out.
Raves: I've got nothing right now. I forgot how much the newborn phase really just kind of sucks lol.

sunny75, I hope everyone feels better soon. A sick baby is the worst, and so sad mamabear02, my bleeding had stopped, and then came back. It also picked up after doing more in a day than I should have.

lolacachia, I had to hold my first 1st all night, and I was definitely stressed about it. I recently joined "Biologically Normal Infant Sleep" on Facebook, which gives good info on safe co sleeping. We did buy the Snoo for this one though, and so far he has slept really well in it. But I do a lot of side laying nursing to get him to nap next me me during the day. 6 hours is awesome! And if she is gaining weight and has wet and poopy diapers then just enjoy it!

@starzia I took her to the grocery store and weighed her on the produce scale today lol. 6/18 she was 6lbs 10 oz and today so 10 days later she was 7lbs almost 5oz. So I'm going to keep going with letting her sleep bc her gains seem fine for now Lol. People probably thought I was nuts.

It isn’t quite as exact, but I use our regular scale and weigh myself and then weigh myself holding him.

That be pretty cute if she was holding a carrot or something. Grocery store photo shoot I almost did take a pic!! But the scale was all sticky so I was trying to be quick lol. I might take her back next week and I will bring wipes and be prepared!

It isn’t quite as exact, but I use our regular scale and weigh myself and then weigh myself holding him. That’s how I did it. I had to check because my car seat the Chico keyfit30 you need to take an insert out when they are 11 pounds. So even if it’s not exact it’s safe to say he’s at least 11 lbs Good to know about the insert- this is the car seat we have and I hadn’t even thought about that. Now to remember in a few weeks when he hits 11lbs.

Week/EDD/Baby's age: 3 days old (almost)
Baby is the size of: around 7.5 lbs
FTM, Etc: STM
Team: Pink:)
Appointments: Tomorrow
Milestones: LO was born via RCS on Wednesday afternoon after they pushed my scheduled time back by almost 5 hours.
Symptoms: Is sleep deprivation a symptom of parenthood? DD1 was a magical sleep unicorn for the first 6 months. This one will not sleep unless I'm holding her.
Rants: Lots but I'll keep them for another day.
Raves: DD1 is being amazing with LO. AND she lost her 2nd tooth today. She slept through all of baby's screaming last night too!

Yay sammysam, I've been wondering how things are going for you so it's good to hear from you! I'm so glad your little girl is here safely! And I'm glad to hear your older DD is doing well with the baby as well. As far as the sleep deprivation, welcome to the club lol. I will say my DS is 8 weeks old now and he is getting a little better but man those first few weeks were tough.

sunny75 I finally got her to sleep in the bassinet last night and it turns out she can be a magical sleep unicorn when she wants to be as well! It's almost 9am and she has been asleep all night (just a few short short wake ups to eat). I might end up feeling human today!

midnight, 3 is hard, and 2 of mine are in daycare while home with the baby on maternity leave! How are your older 2 with the baby? My older 2 love him, and are generally genital, but can be unintentionally rough when they are near him, but dont realize how close they are to him. Glad your PPA is getting better!

Oh they LOVE him, although my daughter (who is almost 6) likes to pick him up with no regard to his head control! My son likes to kiss him but doesnt hold him for long. Now, they do still fight near him and I've raised my voice...a few times lol. I am hoping as he gets a little more durable and they get back into their routine, that things will start to even out and get easier!
