Welcome back cagoldi, glad all was well on the homefront! I'm sure the kiddos were happy to see you  My great-grandma remarried her ex-H in her 80s (first husband died relatively young). My grandmother suggested that they just live together, instead of making it 'official'. Great-grandma replied, "But what would the grandchildren think???" (at this point her grandchildren were all in their 20s/30s lol) |

My dad is having surgery today. I got in an argument over text with my mother about it and now she's not speaking to me. She told my sister about the surgery Friday but she didn't know what the surgery was for so I sent my mother a text asking about it. She said it was for his drooping eye issue from the bells palsey. Then she sends another text saying she told me about it a month ago. Then another one that said "Nice that you can remember." I got furious. She can fuck right off with that bullshit. I told her that she mentioned several months ago he was going to need surgery but they were having issues scheduling because of insurance approval, so no, she didn't tell me he was having surgery Monday. Then my sister tells me that he has a spot on his brain that she apparently knew about 2 months ago and he may need a biopsy. Nice that you can tell us about that. Bitch. Both my sister and I have tried texting and calling her today and she's not responding.  |

tgrimes I don’t think there’s any right or wrong way to reply, but I would just let it go, I think. She clearly thrives on creating discord then acting like a victim when confronted. I wouldn’t do that dance with her. Happy birthday to M2, lahdeedah! kim22 happy belated birthday!!!

Hi hi. Just reading the syllabus for the new course and there is a freaking final exam that's 35% of my grade😳. Next few weeks are going to be busy while I wrap up my current course. Not much else is new, yesterday I got the first coat of paint on the shutters and it is a nice improvement. I don't think I sanded enough though so hopefully it won't peel and split too fast, but better than nothing.
Next on my to do list is see if I can install Roman shades. I got a quote from next day blinds, but think I'll try some Real Simple ones from BBB first at 1/3 the cost if I can figure out how to install them.

Oh my goodness it is 9.15 and still 85 degrees. Normally the kids are sound asleep for two hours, but dd was still screaming and singing so I got her out of bed for a late popsicle & tv. Little cutie pie was overheated and adorable:).

M lost another tooth yesterday. He ran to my room and said that when he woke up, it was on his tongue. Lol. I forgot to get cash, but luckily MH had some. This morning when I got up for work, I went and found his glitter glue t but tooth fairy dust on it and stick it under his pillow. Almost had a mom fail there. Lol
