Z was up all night again. He had a fever when we got home, the rash was back, and his feet were red, painful, and swollen. I'm taking him to the pediatrician today. Of course he's acting just fine this morning.
My old supervisor's baby shower is today and I really don't want to miss it. I'm hoping I can at least stop by with Z.

I've already cleaned the bathroom, kitchen, dining room, and started a load of laundry. And changed 2 poopy diapers. 😐 Dang. I want that kind of motivation any ol' day of the week!
Happy Birthday!

By the time we got to the doctor he was looking and acting a lot better. His poor little feet freaked me out the most. She really had no idea what the cause was. She was a little concerned about Kawasaki's, but said it wouldn't be getting better/going away if it was that so just keep an eye on him. His ears have fluid in them, but aren't infected. He woke up twice last night, so not great, but better than it has been. He was super happy this morning so I think he's back to himself. Hopefully sleep continues to improve. I have had days where I feel like I may legit die of exhaustion through all of this.

PennyCandy, I'm tired just reading about all your sleepless nights. If you can't get a diagnosis, I hope whatever ails him just goes away so you don't have to deal with it anymore! Glad to read last night was better and he woke up happy.

I made Haley cry this morning. I was fixing breakfast and she was headed for the cat water bowl. She reached for it and I said "no" pretty loud and firm. Her little face scrunched up and her eyes filled with tears. Broke my heart. But she did not touch the bowl.

How much water are your LO drinking? DD drinks 2-4 oz of water and she nurses 4x.

She’s good. She is whining a lot because she has to be very low activity and she really wants to go to daycare/bike ride etc. Thanks for asking!

Happy belated birthday notmoose! PennyCandy I'm glad he's feeling better! I hope your able to get some good sleep soon. cornflakegirl DD nurses 4-5x a day and probably drinks around 2-3 oz of water. DD finally started sleeping through the night this week. It only took being overtired from the lack of vacation sleep. But whatever, I'll take it.

How much water are your LO drinking? DD drinks 2-4 oz of water and she nurses 4x. To be honest probably not a lot. She hasn’t gotten the cup thing down yet. I did give her a straw silly cup yesterday and she loved it so maybe I will start seeing some progress. Ok the weekend I nurse 4-5 times and during the week I nurse twice and she gets three bottles.

I have no idea how much he is getting outside of nursing - we're still at 6-7x/day (counting bottle feeds on work days) and I don't give him water most days, but I'm not sure if he gets it at daycare. He eats lots of hydrating foods like fruit!

I need to push a sippy cup with water more. We've done it here and there but not consistently. So, with that, she's not getting much water daily.

How much water are your LO drinking? DD drinks 2-4 oz of water and she nurses 4x. We offer it at meal times only, but he probably also only gets 2-4 oz total throughout the day. Nurses 2x and drinks (2) 5-6 oz bottles at daycare.

I have no idea how much water Z is giving. He has a straw cup for daycare. I've been offering whole milk with meals at home and he's not taking much of it at all yet. He as two bottles at daycare and nurses a couple of times at home.
He was up for over two hours last night. I have a migraine and I have to travel to another office this afternoon for a more challenging clinic. I'm also training my new supervisor and we are short nurses. I'm exhausted and burnt out. It's only going to get worse as we enter our busy season. I need this kid to fucking sleep. I let him cry until he started coughing last night. I won't ever be able to let him cry long enough that he actually puts himself to sleep. I don't know what to do. DH is trying to help, but Z only wants me and DH going in there honestly just makes it worse. Z also woke J up last night so DH had to deal with that. My mental health is circling the drain again....

I’m sorry PennyCandy I’m not sure I have an answer. Is there a reason you won’t let him cry? I hope you can find an answer.

Both kids stayed home with dh and mil and the baby didn’t drink any breastmilk. Dh said that she kept pushing it away from him.
So I warmed some milk and she took the bottle. So I had him try and she wouldn’t take the bottle from him. Ugh.
She did let mil give her the bottle though.

PennyCandy you have had a rough year. Is there any way that you can take some time off? Are you able to take your vacation time together? Or maybe some unpaid personal time if your boss approved it? I know that may not be ideal but perhaps it might help.
