Yeah, apparently kids can adjust their eye sight to a certain degree. Hers was just too far to get away with not getting glasses. Mh and I are both near sighted, so it's to be assumed she would need them at some point.

The eye doctor told me my eyes just adjusted and now one of my eyes is stronger than the other. Best of luck, I hope she does a better job of wearing and not “losing” her glasses than I did.

Hi! I did a test run of packing everything for the states. I do not know how, but asides from the tent, I go the whole lot in one suitcase plus carry on backpacks. And that includes the kid’s readybeds, puddle jumpers & rain gear incl. wellies. I was impressed with my own packing skills and disappointed I had to unpack & put back everything again 😉.

Installed baby girls carseat and put her bag in the car. 😁 I love having a baby seat in the car again.

Bummer klong11 about the glasses. She will be super cute with them I'm sure though. She must have done better than j with the eye drops, he lost his mind after them and it was a battle for the doctor to examine them, I think he was disoriented.

Class felt good and then we went to the zoo and parking was a disaster. Mh dropped us off and then it took him 30 min to find a street spot bc all the lots were full. It was nice in the shade but pretty warm in the sun, and despite being crowded it wasn't hard to navigate minus skipping the panda line.

And I saw some old neighbors from our building, I like the wife a lot, and we had seen them and they hadn't seen us...but then I ran into her in the restroom so I said hi bc I had no interest in seeing her h (the guy that invited himself over on snow days and such🙄).

Now j is still napping on the couch and not sure what we are up to for dinner.

We are finally on the road to the Cape. We got another fence estimate this morning then we went to CT to check out OUR NEW CATS!! I’m so excited that they will keep them for a week. Mom was a bit nervous because they have been in a foster home and came to the shelter for the adoption day. But as soon as I got her boy out of the way, she came right over and was a love. The baby is absolutely nuts! And mom doesn’t take his shit. He tried to get in on me petting mom and she wacked him on the head. After we were done though she went over and licked him. Very cute. Dh was a little hesitant but he didn’t spend as much time as I did. I think we are both scared of having a kitten but C is thrilled. Next Saturday when we get back I’m going to pick them up.

Also I need names. Right now they are Jambalaya and Chavez. Not fitting at all.

tallb he did this trick where she looked up at the ceiling with her eyes closed. He put the drops on her eyelid and then she blinked real fast and the drops went into her eyes. It was amazing.
Here are the glasses she picked. They should be ready next week.

Phew! It was a long day with the kids 🤪 DH left before 9 and got home at 4.

Blessedly our sitter texted offering her services for the evening, so DH was able to get us a last-minute table at a steakhouse we’ve been wanting to try 🙌🏻

klong11 such a cutie! Anecdotal; me and my sisters all nearsighted & have glasses. My youngest sister was three, my other sister when she was 5 & I was 8 when we first got glasses.

The slide is a hit with boys. We put it out earlier but it was scorching out so I made them wait. M tried it out first while M2 was napping and I let them both play around 5pm. They had pizza outside just now so I’m calling that dinner.

MH and Dad was able to get quite a bit done and I escaped to Sam’s this afternoon. I found some things, but it’s going to take some getting used to after shopping at Costco for the past 4 years.

I just heard about that. I'm so sorry. Were he and YH close?

They were growing up. Once MH went to college they only saw each other at family gatherings.
