kim22 it's so weird how different the schedules are around NJ. In my town the public schools ended yesterday, and my friend teaches in another nearby town who finished Tuesday. I can't believe you have a whole extra week!

What kills us is we use schools for elections and they no longer allow the kids to have school during them so that’s 2 extra days. We also keep adding more holidays during the year. We used to get a whole week in February and now we get 1 day and the year keeps ending later and later. At least it hasn’t been 100 degrees yet.

That’s what we always had but they changed the security stuff in the schools and now they don’t allow it.

If I could have had 1 more year with C, that would have been perfect. I love being home with him but I definitely do not fit in with the moms who are home who have all their kids in school full time. Taking 1 more year would cost my tenure and with all the pension changes that have come about, I could have to start over and I’m vested in the best tier so giving that up for 1 year wasn’t a good idea. I’m choosing to go to the “bad” middle school but I have had a lot of conversations with people I worked with who have gone there and every single one of them is so much happier, one who even told me she would have left the profession had she not been sent there. My favorite administrator just took over as principal at DD’s school and they don’t know who they are getting. I love the administrators at the new school. I’ve never been unhappy at my old school but I think the positive energy I’m feeling from the new school will be good for me.

C will be at an in home daycare at end of my block. My others all went there, the first 2 since they were 4 months. I love her sooo much. I was afraid she would retire but she said not until my last baby is done. She may be the nicest woman in the world but she still is very strict and structured with the kids. I once mentioned to her that I felt terrible and I hoped DH would make it home in time for me to go to the doctor. As soon as her last kid was picked up, she was at my door, sent me off and refused to take any money. C went for an hour last week while I took T to orientation. He was totally fine. I’m just dreading how I’m going to fit everything into a day.

peachsmama My mom's labor with my sister started with an upset stomach, about a week or so before her due date. Never can tell...!

tallb it's pretty here today, too...some of the humidity has cleared out, thankfully. It was in the 90s this week so 80s is great!

Last day of golf camp for B; DH finished up at the office early so he went out to get him. C and I got some errands done this morning and I just finished wrapping a birthday gift for the child-who-has-everything's party on Sunday My sweetheart of a nephew turns 1 (cannot.believe.it) next week so I am researching water tables for him, need to get something ordered.

Hes very curious and wants to be near them. But in short bursts. He jumps over the gate and will boop heads or do a tail swish in their face then right back over his gate. Zorro lays at the gate alot. Flash isn't interested until he jumps over. But he definitely still needs his safe space. I brought him in my room with no dogs and he just meowed to get back to his room.

I just saw Sherry at my Target! We are probably the closet Target to their beach houses so I assume that's why she was there. I didn't want to be a weirdo and say anything, but it was definitely her!

You will do it! You've done it 3 times before, after all! And that's great that you have such an amazing person to leave C with.  I'm sure it makes it 50 times easier.

Just work today. I leave for OR tonight for the weekend. Work has been insufferable around here lately so a lot of people have been grumpy/feeling overwhelmed. My boss is out today and I think I'm going to peace out 30 minutes early.

I've been super grumpy too since I haven't been able to do cardio. I hate exercising, but I feel guilty if I don't do it and like how I feel afterward. I've been doing lots of arm and ab exercises but it gets boring doing the same thing over and over again. I can't wait until my toe is better.

Ha! How fun! I've followed them for YEARS (even went to a book signing back in the day). Her IG stories are pretty funny, lately I'm into her hair stuff since mine I wear mine curly now too.

kim22 has me super paranoid lol. Everything tastes bad, which reminds me of my labor with Jack. I just hope she holds off until Sunday evening after pictures or Monday morning. Maybe after I drop the boys off? Haha.

It wasn’t to scare you, just prepare. I went to the doctor and I was told go directly to the hospital, you are not allowed to stop home, so I arrived with nothing. The hurry was his position put him at risk of cord prolapse. These days I probably wouldn’t care going in with nothing but I was upset then because (excuse me while I show my old), cell phones didn’t have cameras and I was worried he’d be born and we wouldn’t have those early photos.

Oh good, glad I'm not the only one. My sister called as I was getting in my car and I told her and she was like, "Who?" I'm like, they're famous--they have books and product lines! LOL.


She was walking towards us and I thought "hmm, that kinda looks like..." Then I noticed she was in jeans and a black top and was like, "ha, that is definitely her." She was buying...surprise!...house stuff.

MH and the girls are coming up for lunch today to celebrate our anniversary. It'll be nice to get out of the office and see them. We're celebrating 11 years at the bowling alley on post because that's Cass' request. Lolz.

I was asked to be the class mom (is that a thing in the USA?). The teacher said she wanted to ask me first before asking the whole group of parents for a volunteer, because she thinks we’d be good working together. It is flattering, and I would like it, but it is also a lot and I mean a lot of work 🤷🏼‍♀️.

The kids got to go into the pool this morning at swimming lessons. S passed the toddler level. I found out that there is another session next week so I signed her up for that so she doesn’t get upset that H had lessons and she didn’t. It sounds like most of the kids in this session were in the first one anyway. After swim lessons we met my sister at Mcd’s for lunch and then went to the pavilion, which has a kids museum in it. The kids had a lot of fun. Now we’re home and S is napping.
