Hi! It was the first day in my actual department, so I didn’t want to whip out my phone. I think they are lax about phones, but first impressions and all. It went well. I already have another department asking if I would be able to help them out, too, so I feel good about it.

My turn at swim lessons. Hopefully by the time we get home C will be asleep and DH will have steak fajitas waiting for us 😁
I feel like it’s been long enough that I can say this without jinxing it, but she’s been doing really well in the ‘big girl bed’. We disassembled her crib and I think my parents are going to take it to keep at their house for my sister’s DS and future babies. So it will live on...otherwise I would’ve been really sad 😭

Our power is out. It’s 90° in the house. I’m headed to dinner with my friend and MH is on his own with the kids. I hope it comes back on after they get back from dinner. Otherwise we’ll be headed to my in-laws.

A's cousins wife has always hated me. Like since the day he introduced her to all of us she had already decided to hate me. That was 5 years ago.... the last 6 months or so, shes all of a sudden decided we're friends. It's odd. I'm not really opening up to her or anything because I'm suspicious as hell of her motives.. but it's nice not having to walk on egg shells at family things. And shes loaning me her bassinet to use for baby girl (RIP rock and play).

I've never heard of moving your maiden name to your middle name, although I like the idea of it. But my maiden name was a vegetable that people tend to not like, so no thanks. Especially what it did with my first married last name. You ladies have been busy today! Now I'm wondering what vegetable could be a name... I sent you a PM |

I did not take MH’s last name and I’m not sure I’ve ever heard of people changing their middle name to their maiden name. Seems odd to me.

I’m pretty sure that the woman changing her maiden to middle name is a southern thing, that has possibly spread up the east coast. Same with using the middle name as a first immediately like @finnaroo did with B. Neither are a thing here. The only time I have heard of someone going by a middle instead of first name is when they were named after someone who is still living (ex. My BFF’s little brother was named after their uncle, so he goes by his middle name or in the case of a Jr/Sr).
I have no real attachment to my maiden name, and truth be told I was happy to drop it. My parents were never married so my sisters and I all have my mom’s last name (even though I like my dad’s better. Both start with the same letter though so my initials would have been the same growing up).

I haven’t talked about ttc much because I know it can be a sensitive subject for some people. I am pretty sure I told you guys that a few months ago I had a chemical pregnancy, well I actually had 3 in a row and it was super, duper frustrating. Since then my cycles have all been 33 days...until this one. I was supposed to get my period a week ago, and it never came. I messaged my doctor on Monday, because it was late and I had multiple negative tests. She said that if it didn’t come by Friday, then she would give me a med to get my period to start. Late this afternoon I started spotting, so this is good news I hope it actually starts tomorrow. Since it’s been more than 6 months that we’ve been trying she wants me to do clomid again, so we will start that this cycle and fx it does the trick.

Thanks for the birthday wishes. I was so annoyed with my boss. He texted me to come back to work for a really stupid reason after my training. So I only ended up getting out a few minutes early.
MH and the girls surprised me with balloons. MH got my a gorgeous necklace and we usually keep it simple when it comes to gifts.
I'm trying to keep my annoyance down though because I took Thursday off to celebrate. We talked about taking a day trip to the coast. This had been planned for about a month and he forgot and booked a stupid home maintenance thing in the afternoon. He asked if I wanted him to call the place and cancel (I said yes--he's not working anymore and can reschedule this anytime) and he made some lame comment about how he called many places to get this booking. 😒 It's too early in the afternoon for us to do basically anything. I looked into other options but for various reasons basically nothing will work. He suggested several things that all involved a ton of walking. Apparently he forgot my pimp limp and broken toe. 😠 I'm trying not to be annoyed but I am.
