I thought it might be fun if we could share recipes we've enjoyed, whether or not your kids liked it. What are your go-tos? Anything new you've tried and really liked?

I've been really into various quinoa bowls and have enjoyed incorporating them into our weekly rotations. This NYT one w/ kimchi was really good and I added these marinated tempeh. This one w/ chickpeas was pretty good too. The toddler usually just eats some quinoa by itself but did have a few bites of tempeh.

I'm gluten free, so we eat lots of rice-based dishes. Variations on tacos, stir fries, and red beans and rice are favorites. Someone on GD shared this site a while back, and I get tons of ideas from her. It's a weekly meal plan based on the Aldi ad. We usually get at least a couple meals a week from her. www.mashupmom.com/category/meal-planning/

I need some new Ideas, I've gotten lazy in the last few weeks. Do you need to sign up for the meal plan??

Most of her meals are naturally GF because she's not into too much processed stuff and avoids added sugars. Anything that does use bread or pasta, we get substitutions or I make adjustments for myself.

I could eat this Chicken Banh Mi bowl everyday. No joke. I don’t have an instant pot so I sautéed the onions and garlic and then throw in the cooked chicken and sauce. I don’t broil it like she does. I tried once and thought it was too dry. If I’m being lazy, I grab a cooked rotisserie chicken from the store. littlespicejar.com/chicken-banh-mi-bowls

This looks so good. Does your DS eat soup? DD will eat ramen but I don't think we've really tried soup yet. IDK why. I eat soup almost everyday for lunch so we always have some soup around.

We tried soup last night and she acted like I was poisoning her. it was leek soup, which looking back on it was probably not the best choice for intro to soup.

I have been serving small servings of soup on the side for a while now and just recently J saw my H put his rice into the soup and he was super into it. It was spicy too but his spice tolerance seems to be getting pretty good.

They do a chicken and rice soup once or twice a month that all of the kids love. I assume it's super salty, and that's part of the appeal. But it's opened him up to other soups. He also likes when he has anything to dunk in it like bread, chips, whatever.

He enjoys chili, various asian foods with some kick, taco seasonings... I'm always pleasantly surprised when he likes something I didn't think he would.

J says things are spicy but if it's something he likes he will chug some water and keep eating. He first said the soup was too spicy but decided it was good with rice.

I tried exposing DD really early to spicy things. But she uses "too spicy" to get out of eating stuff she doesn't want to. Plain chicken is too spicy, but buffalo chicken dip isnt.

DS is way into temperature right now and calls it "hot" if he doesn't want to eat it. No, son, your banana is not hot.

We made a taco salad this week. Did lettix tomatoes ground beef cheese salsa. I added corn and beans. H is now on the keto diet. So that has been tough.
E loves tofu, avocados, almost anything we give her.
It’s been hard keeping up with H being on his keto diet and me being a vegetarian.

I'd be sticking with a lot of make your own stuff where you have a veggie base and then add proteins and toppings.
