Also I was supposed to take N in for A 2.5 yo visit last month, whoops! I took C in last month, but would not have known to do so if the pedi hadn't called to remind me in late April. I do not remember it as being a 'thing' with B--in my mind we went from 2 to 3 with him. Insurance doesn’t cover 2.5 year visit for us.

M: When I go to kindergarten can I watch Jaws? Me: ummmm, nope. M: but why? Emma & Franklin have seen it.
I will definitely be texting their parents to see what they actually watched because I’m almost positive it wasn’t Jaws.

Well I had promised the boys movie and popcorn tonight after dinner. But they wrestled and played instead of napping so I told them no. Jack's been screaming at me and slamming doors for the last 40 minutes so I've literally locked my door and am hiding in my room.... Obviously I'm killing it as a parent.

Ok, here's a question...what do you get for a 5 y.o. girl who has literally everything? Not exaggerating. This is a friend's bday party this weekend so under $20 ideally. I hate to do cash but worst case, I will put a couple $5 bills in with something small, lol. Catching up, but what about a book store gift card with a candy/popcorn or something?

Guys, the boot on a 5.5yr old is dangerous. He doesn't mean to, but he gets excited and steps on some bare feet. Ouch, it hurts so bad! That thing is so heavy! Luckily most of the injuries have been me, but L has had some minor boot injuries as well.

I often find then watching things like Old School, Wedding Crashers, or action movies. Over the weekend he was flipping around and the Titanic was on so dh let him watch the crash and people fleeing. Wtf! C told me later and said “no kids died though”.

They loved Skyscraper with the Rock (Cassidy had a huge crush on him). Maddie's really into the scary stuff and reads Goosebumps books. They both watch the show.

I haven't let B watch the Leo/Kate Winslet Titanic, but he's seen a couple documentaries about that and the Lusitania sinking and the modern-day searches for them. There's a kid's book series he's gotten into that covers major historical events and figures, so we started with books on those topics.
Jaws...idk. I did let him see Jurassic Park but it feels a bit different to me b/c we know dinosaurs aren't currently living, whereas sharks are. I don't want him to be terrified to go to the beach just yet, lol.

I feel sorry for his science teacher.... hes completely convinced that dinosaurs are still real. No matter how many times we tell him otherwise. He acts like I'm trying to keep them from him. Its amusing.

No, I didn’t check there. Thanks for the tip. I went in Carter’s store the day after and found M’s size in the one set I liked. I’m not doing carter’s for the fall because of the holes in the knees, so I may need to try Primary.

Just had to remove embedded earring backs from Cadence's ears. It happens so fast! Her ears were perfectly fine a few days ago. So she then said she doesn't want earrings any more. If she would just stop messing with them they would be fine. So I gave her the little hoops I wear daily. Like, I never take them off. But, it was the only way I could think of that we could get the ears to heal, but not close up. Plus, the hoop can't get embedded.

Ugh. Just tried to type a post and tapa just went out. It’s been doing this for a good week now and I thought I fixed it when I updated the app, but nope. Ok about to go back to mobile if it doesn’t resolve soon. So annoying. This is the second time it went out when I was in the middle of typing.

I made a thread on GD a few days ago. I emailed support and they said they will look into it.

I got an email this morning from Tea Collection about their jammies being on sale—haven’t tried them personally but maybe another source for the future. I will say the Hanna Anderson pjs we ordered recently are great. I see why everyone likes them so much. I wouldn’t pay full price but will be keeping an eye out for good sales.

Lol at these scary movies. We couldn't handle Ratatouille recently. Or Coco. So we stick with cars, cars 3, or sing.

Kid shows all the way over here! Freaky Friday, the musical, might be the only exception. That went strong for about two months, Soundtrack in the car and everything, but I also think it partly contributed to Josie‘s “bad behavior” stint because so much of the movie is a mother-daughter struggle. I magically “lost” the soundtrack.

My nieces were Disney movies nuts when they were tweens, so we asked for their suggestions. Josie is not interested.

guster for the most part my kids just love to watch Sesame Street, storybots, threehouse detectives, word party and a few Dutch shows. I’m more than okay with that for now, movies just don’t grasp them that much yet. Oh and even tough they are narrated in English ds loves things like planet earth, I usually translate a little, but he just loves the images.

I go through phases with wanting her to watch movies, but I love the stuff that we watch on PBS Kids and Netflix and the other streaming services. She’s entertained and learning so much from the shows. Peer pressure will get to her for popular movies so I guess I’m content to wait for now.
