lahdeedah, yeah, it wasn't presented that way to the parents. I thought it was going to be a legit computer lab with actual computers. Even better, they did it in the middle of winter so the kids couldn't go outside due to weather AND they no longer had an indoor space.

C hurt his ankle at the trampoline place and is being insufferable. I'm going to lose my mind. I feel bad if it truly is very hurt, but he seems to be moving it in ways that I don't quite buy it.

Wow. SIL is pregnant with a girl. My MIL hates the name so much that she said she will refuse to call the baby by name and can't believe SIL won't change the name to something she likes. Like MIL cried for 2 days straight about it.

Oh she is, it's my MIL who I've talked about in the past. MH has a cousin who called A "A the dinosaur" when he was a newborn (I'm assuming from the Good Dinosaur movie), MIL hasn't spoken to her since and can't believe cousin would make fun of A and "humiliate" MIL.... |

I did actual items at Christmas (holiday serving plates and cocktail napkins) but did Barnes & Noble gift cards for year-end. I read something interesting recently talking about the Pinterest-ification of teacher gifts...how gifts for educators have gotten increasingly cutesy/pun-ny, but you would never give your accountant or physician something like that. Basically that we (general 'we') do not necessarily treat our educators the way we treat other professionals, simply b/c they work with children. In the past I've felt a lot of pressure to come up with something clever, but I typically default to gift cards. So now I am going to be proud of my gift cards and not ashamed that they do not involve a pun  |

Got my car back. 30 minutes later the dealership called- they took the engine cover off to wash it and forgot to put it back on. I just laughed. The technician is coming to my house tomorrow to put it back on. I'll definitely be checking under the hood every time I get something done there now lol.
