I’ve been rained on no less than four times today. How are you girls holding up?

I’m heading to K screening with T then C’s 18 month check up. It’s my last full Wednesday of my special days with T. I’m so sad. Tonight my sister is getting an award and I’m going to a dinner with her for it.

I'm taking my car up in a few minutes. They say it'll take an hour and I have to take Grandma to the doctor. So I'm getting a rental. Hope it's something fancy ( :

Morning! I'm off and MH is off this morning. We are going to C's end of the year performance, conviently scheduled for 10:15-11. Then C and I are going to have a special day just us! Going to get lunch and go to the trampoline place. Hoping I can run to Home Goods too, I need new outdoor pillows!

I have an appointment for a facial later this afternoon. I need to find a place to get a pedicure tomorrow. My feet need one so bad.
M is in a family wedding this weekend. I tried on his suit last night and the crotch is short so if the pants are on his hips, it’s all up his butt. My MIL is going to see if they have another in his size, but if not I have to take it to get altered.

Yes, it was the dealership I bought it at. I have a lifetime warranty so I go there so it's easy for them to track my records. And it's actually cheaper than any place around me and they throw in a free tire rotation and car wash each time. but now I'll forever be suspicious each time I get one lol.

Got the mortgage thing done. Apparently they have a lot of issues with the post office there, so I have new address to send to. Also read up on mortgages being sold, so now I understand more. I remember hearing something like this in the process, but I was thinking sold meant like- the bank being bought out by someone else, etc. Silly me🤦🏽♀️. Such a newb.

Got doughnuts last night so Cadence and mh could do doughnuts with Dad this morning, since she'll miss it at school on Friday. Basically, we are doing an early father's day tonight so they can celebrate. We got him 2 shirts and I'll grill him a steak. Very fatherly. LOL
Cadence is still getting timeouts at school, but it's for running. It's a large fairly open space and they haven't been taking the kids outside, sry, but they're going to run. They NEED to run. So, while I'm telling her to try and not get timeouts, at the same time I'm not really mad that she's getting them for running.

How weird, klong11. If I were a teacher, I'd bend over backwards to give the kids an opportunity to get some energy out - it's in their own best interest.

Morning. I got 4 hours of sleep last night thanks to my kids waking me up early. Nap is on the agenda for the afternoon. I am currently in the sbux drive thru to get a massive coffee. Then we are off to a place where H will be taking some sort of nature class. Not sure if S and I have to stay, but if not then we will run to target.

Also hi from my couch. Again. I had a return visit to the medispa to get my crow's feet taken care of and she was shocked at my forehead, thinking there was no way the 20 units she injected last time would make such a difference. I'll have to share the link once they put it on their IG (eyes covered so I'm anonymous). Now I just sit back and see how long it lasts before deciding how to proceed. I don't generally think about myself as a vain person but who cares? I am so incredibly pleased with the results. And this afternoon I have a much overdue (repeatedly rescheduled) appointment to trim my poor ends.
Anyhow in happy news, DH and I "graduated" from counseling last night. She said we can call anytime we need a 3rd party to bounce things off of or if we feel like we need a "tune-up", but she thinks our communication skills have made huge leaps and that we're both consistently doing the work and seem committed to continue to do so. I think we both had it in our mind that our sessions kept us accountable and focused on doing what's right (vs. what's easier in the moment) so we're going to figure out our own way to check-in with each other in an intentional, focused way.
Colin has 5 short days of school (90 minute early dismissals) through next Tuesday and he's officially done with kindergarten. I can't believe the year's over... Meanwhile Chase has been spending lots of time visiting the preschool class and he'll officially transition in the fall. My babies are growing up!!

Rain, then the next day it might not rain, but it's still muddy. When it dries up, it rains again. If it's not raining then it's "too hot" for the teacher.

I get the rain, but suck it up teacher. You can't keep them inside 6 months out of the year because it's too hot.

Sometimes there are emails that sit in my inbox for a while before I feel the need to investigate and or make decisions on and today is the day that I've had enough, I've made more decisions and actioned more items this morning than I have in the last week. I feel so productive.

Congrats joelies , I hope things will continue to stay on track/improve for you guys And glad you are enjoying your treatments klong11 That's annoying, I can't recall my kids every being kept in for too hot/cold temps...just rain...and we live in the land of extreme weather, lol. Our preschool in FL had the use of the church's gymnasium so they'd go in there on rainy days, which was great. Our current school at least has indoor 'activity' rooms (separate from the classrooms) so they can get their wiggles out that way in bad weather. lahdeedah hope you get your pedi soon! I joined a military landlords FB group (mostly so I can blast our PM at the end of our time here, since we are not actually Landlords ) and I learn things about the home ownership process almost daily. A lot of it you just don't know about until it happens to you! Probably best, otherwise no one would ever buy a house, lol.

I think the heat part has a lot to do with the teacher's size. She is a larger woman, as several of her teachers have been and I've had issues with them not going outside a lot in the past because of it. We live in Texas though, we have 3 temperatures right now, hot, hotter, and stay inside. It's no where near stay inside temps yet.

Also, hi! C and I went to mail a baptism gift to H's niece after camp drop-off, then ventured to Home Goods for a step-stool to help her get into bed at night. Did not find anything not obnoxious/tacky, but of course found a *garden* stool for her room. Really doing great at this no-spend June stuff, lol.
Now we're home and having lunch. C is in a bit of a mood (guess that's what getting up at 5:30 will do to you) so I'd like her to take a nap, but it makes the bedtime process much longer. Sigh. Decisions, decisions.

Do they have a indoor area in which they can build an obstacle course or something like that? I cannot imagine a group of 4-5yo not being able to run all day.

The kids where at school, so I went and visited a friend who had her baby 3 months ago. The baby slept for six hours last night and was so calm during the time I was there. She fussed a teeny tiny bit when my friend put her down for a nap, which according to my friends was unusual. I’m retrospectively jealous, I need next baby to be more like that. I baked cookies with the kids, which is always a bad idea, because I end up eating way too much of them. Oh well.

They used to have a great indoor play area, but they knocked down the playscape and turned it into a "computer lab" and by computer lab they meant a giant screen on the floor that they play bubble popping games and junk on. Complete waste of a room.
