DH bought me a beach bike. Everyone bikes here. I don’t think I have been on a bike in like 20 years. Is it really something you never forget how to do? I should probably get some training wheels.

wineallthetime I hope the puking is over. I also have a good sleeper not sleeping. I just walked until I thought my feet were going to bleed and now DH is out with him. He was smarter and took a solo cup with him. trtlcrzy that sucks so bad that they worried you and didn’t even come over. I hope it’s nothing bad. It’s my fault they didn’t come over today. We got busy and I didn’t text them until 7:30. Which isn’t really all that late but I need to go to bed early (now) and it was close to the girls’ bedtime. |

Hi girls!
Greetings from the hotel gym. We’re all meeting for a breakfast buffet soon, then catching our plane to the island. It’s all women on the trip, so it feels like a girls vacation as much as an academic one.
My professors are amazing. They are so warm, supportive, and accomplished. We’re having a very preliminary discussion about establishing our own workshop on vaccine education and they want me to be the student advisor! I’m so excited. One of them is the head faculty for our college of health solutions and she promised to make sure I find a good spot to land when it comes time for job searching.
So, first night down and I already feel like this was a great decision.

Ugh wineallthetime I was just going to post I hope she woke up all better today. Poor baby, hope that was the last of it. Nothing planned here today. Someone is supposed to be here between 9 and 10 for evies old swingset. I have had probably 30 messages between posting Friday and last night, of people asking if its available, then nothing when I say yes. If someone doesn't come get it today, me and H will be taking it down and throwing it away. We also finalized plans for our deck yesterday, so I'm excited about that, except to actually pay for it. |

kim22 I got a bike a couple of years ago and it was shaky to start but I quickly got the hang of it. Now I feel like a kid biking and I love it! It’s also been so amazing now that C is off training wheels and doing so well. Yesterday we biked a couple of miles down to the school playground and had so much fun. I’m sure you will love it!

I am meeting some friends from work for brunch this morning. This place supposedly has the best one in the state so I’m excited. It also gets me out of another birthday party that dh will take C to.
It’s finally gotten nice and warm here so we are embracing summer to the fullest. Last night we hit a new to us clam shack and got a traditional summer New England dinner of clam cakes and chowder. It was so good!

Same as yesterday, MH is working on the deck and I'm laying low with the kids. L is pretty low energy so lots of movies while A plays and C plays outside.

So for his party he’s going to. Last party that was at 100 didn’t have lunch just veggies, juice, cake and ice cream. Should I give LO something for lunch or just a snack.

chrisy01 I'd feed him. I think if someone plans a party at 1, its after lunch, so I wouldn't expect much food, probably just cake and ice cream.

Josie keeps pestering me to get a bike, but FFSC, i’ve never ridden a bike that has handbrakes, so I’d have to get a beach cruiser where I can backpedal to stop

Morning!
I am under it— things have been super busy this weekend and this week coming up. It’s Josie’s last week of school and there is something happening every day. The air conditioning in my car stopped working yesterday, so I have an appointment to bring it in tomorrow morning to have it fixed, the pool pump died, and they’re coming out on Tuesday to replace it, and I need to buy presents for the end of the school year, the graduation party we have next week, and Father’s Day.
I’m off to Aldi now to get stuff for the week, gift cards, and a huge coffee and then it’s our town’s duck fest (which consistently auto corrects to dick fest)

Sounds like the added face-time with your professors will be an asset. mwhip Same thing happened when I listed our old bed on FB marketplace...got probably 80-100 "inquiries" but the majority of the people I responded back to never replied. (I only responded to people after checking their profiles to make sure I wouldn't mind giving them my address, ha.) Re: bikes, we meant to get beach cruisers up here but at this point it'd be one more thing to have to move, so we're waiting til we get back to FL. Enjoy your new bike kim22! |

Not much going on here today. I deep cleaned our master bath yesterday (like, wiped down walls, removed/cleaned the light fixture, etc). So much productivity, I definitely deserve a lazy day today, right? (hahahaha)
DH did our Wal Mart grocery pick-up this morning. I'm trying a new corn chowder recipe this week so I had 12 ears of corn on my order. God bless the WM associate who did our shopping, she shucked all that corn! She might be my new favorite person.

Morning. Last morning of freedom. I slept in and dh made omelettes. I just baked some rhubarb cookies. I’ll take some to SIL since we’re meeting the ILs in SILs town to get the kids, and see nephew again.
Then hosting my family for dinner tonight. I assume the kids are lacking on sleep, so I hope to get them to bed at a somewhat normal time tonight since swimming lessons start at 8:30 tomorrow and we have a big week ahead.

That's great cagoldi! I love riding my bike. I usually go for a 20 minute ride in the evening to exercise the dog. It'll be nice when Cass is done with training wheels so she can go faster. |

One of our Portland friends is here this weekend to help paint our fence. We made great progress yesterday. I stayed up too late playing cards and chatting though.
