That’s so annoying trtlcrzy but I’m glad it wasn’t bad. My mom left me a message once sobbing saying “someone’s died! Call me back as soon as you can!” I’m thinking my gram passed or my dad had the heart attack we always joke about. I call back and it’s a cousin we haven’t seen in 20+ years. Still sad but woah with the dramatics!

tallb I use Instacart and have never gotten bad produce or meat. The only thing I’ve had a short expiration on was bread. I emailed and they refunded me. Their prices can sometimes be more expensive than the store so you have to pay attention to that. Most things aren’t though and it’s been saving us money since we don’t just grab stuff.

Hi hi - I keep forgetting to finish posts. We divided and conquered parties today on opposite sides of the city at the same time. It rained so both were moved inside. Mh got the short stick bc I was at my best friend's house with shrimp salad sandwiches, gluten free cupcakes provided for us and a full kid friendly spread. Mh was in a tiny, hot, packed house and the only lunch main was dumplings, which were probably good, but asking a bit much for 5 year olds. And he knew literally no one😂. I told him which parents were cool and he did locate them at least.
I did a late night target run last night and bought important things like a size up in underwear, an inflatable pool, calendar, all the father's day cards, Swiffer dusters, etc. $250 later 😳
Mh is finally assembling the Ikea dresser we bought...in January 🙌

I loathe pedal breaks. I like to coast and ambly pedal backwards.

I think it's an old thing to be very dramatic with VMs, texts, etc. My mom is definitely guilty.

We finished painting (for now hopefully be all the way done next weekend). I was annoyed because MH set me up to take the girls skating but we're actually having fun so it's good.

So Cadence was being extra moody, which had me on edge. Then, I went to make dinner and the dishes in the dishwasher were dirty and I just lost it. Mh hasn't done anything all weekend and he couldn't even press the button on the dishwasher. So, he went and got McDonald's. Now I have to store my already cooked spaghetti squash for tomorrow.
But clearly Cadence and I were just extremely hangry because we're both good now. LOL

Storms are coming. The sky just got dark and the wind is so strong the neighbor's trees look like they are going to blow into our yard.

I took a 1.5hr nap this afternoon. I'm not a nap person and my typical "nap" is me playing on my phone or resting my eyes and daydreaming. Today I napped HARD. I think I needed it and am thankful MH took a break from the deck so I could nap!

The party was great. A taco man and pizza plus they had two cakes plus strawberry cupcakes. A bounce house for the kids plus games. The only downside was the bounce house was in the sun so E and I had very little to no shade. I remembered to sunscreen the kids but me dress in all dark colors was not sunscreened.

Oh good trtlcrzy ! I hate loaded phrases that are anxiety inducing. flamingo that is impressive for corn! My mom refuses to try grocery delivery bc she doesn't trust the produce will be good enough, so I'll have to use this example. I do think she will try it soon bc today I was in town for a kids party and said we'd come by and go get N a haircut. She decided to run to the grocery store during the haircut and then was sad that she missed out on spending time with us when I tried to drop her off.. we did go in and hang out for a bit, but I did tell her it's not as fun to visit when I'm an errand runner/driver while juggling kids and 6 mo pregnant. That is the main reason I held off on grocery delivery/pick-up for so long. I finally caved and it has been such a game-changer, and so far (knock on wood) all the produce and meat I've gotten has been great. When I first started using Wal Mart grocery, the associate who explained the whole process said they are told to be even pickier for customers than they would be for themselves...basically, they are looking for perfection. So far I've been really pleased!

Hi, yesterday we went to our gym outdoor pool in the morning, then to the final tball game of the season, then i grilled and we had one of O’s friend’s families over. Today we walked to the playground then hung out at home in the yard with the neighbor kids. My friend and her kids also stopped by. It’s so nice that the kids on our block are showing up to play. Later we went to my neighbor’s house and had dinner together. We got home just in time for bedtime. Good day. Oh, i found a tick on Z today when we were in our yard. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t there this morning, so it was only on her a few hours. It was attached but not “stuck” when i tried to pull it off. Nevertheless, it’s on my dresser in a plastic bag in case i decide to send it into a lab to get tested. yummeecookee Did you get the tick tested or did she start showing symptoms right away?

snoopmommymom I'd call the ped and ask what they recommend. I'd lean towards sending it in just to be sure since the symptoms can present so differently. Hope it's okay. I bought a tick remover tool that was for sale at the hair place today, figure it is good to have on hand, even though I'm sure I'll lose it the second I open the container.

O’s had them before too but two years ago. My pediatrician does not recommend keeping them or sending them in. I think there is a place but it costs $100.

I didn’t save it. From what I’ve read, they don’t test ticks. They just identify what type it is so they know what types of infections it may carry. B started showing symptoms about 2-2.5 weeks after I pulled it off. Hopefully you’ll be in the clear w Z since it hadn’t really latched in yet!

I wouldn’t send a tick in. Even if the tick came back positive it usually takes 36-48 to transmit Lyme once attached so I feel like it would cause needless worry. Either way you would be looking out for symptoms. Maybe you would be more vigilant knowing it was positive?
