Pregnancy is so glamorous. I didn't get a chance to pee before getting DS ready for daycare. When they left I was walking to the bathroom and I sneezed. Yep, peed myself a little. It's too early for that!

Morning! I'm attempting to watch PLL at work. It may or may not take all day.
Also, I'm thinking about breaking out my Bella Band. I'm not showing at all but I feel so bloated and all I want to do is unbutton my damn jeans.

I'm been putting off this one thing at work for a month now and it's due in 2 days. I figure I can procrastinate this morning then I really need to get on it. jessijean, wasn't it you that was asking about a Foo Fighters concert or was it another band? I just got an email that they are coming to my town in October so I'm waiting for the presale to open at 10am to get seats.

sarahh it was Foo Fighters! MH decided he's not going deer hunting on the other side of the state instead of the FF concert. So now I doubt I'm going. I'm kind of grumpy about it but I know he really likes his hunting and deserves a trip before baby #2 arrives.

I have zero motivation to get anything done right now. So many chores to do!

I had a not great dr appt today. I mean its fine I guess. My midwife offered to try the doppler even though I'm not 12 weeks yet (I'm 10w 4d). She said she could feel my uterus and when she can feel that she can usually find the HB. But she couldn't find it. She wasn't concerned but of course I didn't leave there feeling exactly good.
I have another ultrasound in 2 weeks so I guess I'll just wait for that. Ho humm.

benandjerrys, I'm sorry. I'm sure everything is fine but I wish she would have taken you for a quick ultrasound to ease your mind. Hopefully the next two weeks go quick.

benandjerrys I'm sorry, that's stressful. If she has access, I'm a bit surprised she did give you an ultrasound. But maybe her practice doesn't have access to one. My OB could barely catch my LO's hb on doppler at 11w 4d so just know it's a small target she is aiming for and it does necessarily mean something is wrong.

benandjerrys I'm sorry you didn't get more peace of mind! Too bad she couldn't get you in for a quick US. I probably would have demanded that, but I'm an annoying patient like that haha

Had my first appt today, they did a little in office ultrasound, everything looks good & we could see the heartbeat. (Well as good as an 8 week baby can look ) That's a relief. PgAL brain was definitely on high alert

benandjerrys bummer about your appt. Although they did tell me today that they usually can't get a HB on a Doppler before 10 weeks and even after that it is hit and miss. Hope you get some peace of mind soon!

Also had a good appt today, relieving my worries about the lessening nausea (which of course is back today since DS was up 10pm-3am ready to party last night). Measuring right on track 8w1d. Post and run, off to try for a nap. I'll check back in later to interact more!

benandjerrys it's all been said but I'm sorry. That really blows. Can you hem and haw and get a u/s or go in and have another MW or the like give it a whirl? Maybe try again next week? IMO 2 weeks is too long. Everything is in your favor but this seems like unnecessary worry.

ah! I am experiencing some technical difficulties with my tapatalk app. Everytime I try and click on this bookmarked page it keeps saying that this boards has been moved to aplacetomeet but how do I find that place and bookmark it on my home page??

So sorry benandjerrys, I know exactly how distressing that feels. My doctor couldnt find ours either but I found it again on my own at home. The doctors ones can be outdated and a lot less sensitive. With DS, they couldn't find it until after 12. So try not to worry too much (easier said than done) and hopefully the next 2 weeks pass quickly until your u/s

Well we had a pretty nuts night last night. DS ended up leaving for a nearby town via ambulance because he was puking and couldn't breathe or talk. They are home again, currently diagnosed with croup/viral infection, but just got a call from the doctor who saw him last night saying after better review of the x rays they want to get him on antibiotics to hopefully prevent a bacterial pneumonia from developing as they are now concerned with what they saw. Besides DD, none of us got any sleep until around 4am or so, and we'll be keeping low today and the next few days. The puking was also happening with a bloody nose and we couldn't tell if he was puking up blood or if it was just draining from his nose, giving us the immediate reaction to call 911. When the first responder got here his oxygen levels were at 78% and he was able to hook him up to oxygen immediately in his bedroom. The doctor said we did the right thing, as he needed the immediate attention and ambulance to get to the hospital.
His background is that he was born a preemie and has had bronchial infections in the past, but this is the most extreme and quickest downfall we've ever seen and he's never been diagnosed with croup before. We've never had to call 911 before. It was super scary, but he's home and playing right now and hopefully the medication plan we have calms the next few days down.

Happy Hump Day! I can't believe it's only Wednesday though. I knew this week would drag.
My emotions are in full effect today. I went to Target at lunch today. As I'm driving through the parking lot, I saw a family of 4 on the corner holding up a sign. It was a man, woman, the woman was carrying a baby in a sling and the man had a toddler in a stroller. I've never been one to contribute to panhandlers because frankly, I don't know the full story and I'd rather give them something to eat instead of money, but this one hit me in the feels and I teared up as I drove past them. During my trip to Target, I went down the baby aisle and grabbed some food pouches and puffs for the family. I drove back to where I saw them and they were gone.

And for getting through that post, and for those who want to see blumps lol, I was trying on some new clothes I bought online yesterday (before the crazy started obviously) over my 11 week belly.

I'm sorry you're worried benandjerrys. I mentioned this before to someone else, and anecdotes are simply that, but if it helps at all DD was sneaky and 15 weeks before we could hear her heartbeat. And she was born a 9lb 4 oz big girl lol! I hope you are able to get some reassurance soon ❤
