The ABC mouse is always asked for because of the commercials that are on during Curious George, and they watch a few of those episodes a week. I'll wait for your review We downloaded it a week or so ago and I helped set it up, but honestly I've spent very little time with it. He tends to play it while I'm putting B to bed or in the morning while I shower. I'll attempt to catch a peak of it next time. lol, fair enough. What's his review? |

So NN went to eat lunch with a friend and when she got back to the office they saw a dude in our parking lot putting notes on cars. So she stuck her head in and told me to call out office manager to come out. So I did, then she stuck her head in and said that he was putting one on my car. Uh, no. So I went out there. He was scribbling on post it notes and putting them on cars.
Me: did you just put something on my car
Him: yeah, you can just throw it away if you want
Me: *hands him back the post it* you can't do that here. You are on private property, you need to leave.
Him: *removes sunglasses to 'glare' at me* yeah....sure....
Me: you. need. to. leave.
Dude smelled like alcohol before you even got within a few feet of him. The office manager took over for me and watched him walk away, but man, don't touch my car, don't mess with my stuff.
Now mh is all stressed out thinking someone is going to jump me later or something. I'm not concerned. He was drunk off his ass and is probably now passed out somewhere.

Last we talked he came into the bathroom to tell me he had X number of stamps and how many more did he need to get to 300 or something like that. Apparently he was saving up stamps to get a puppy on the app. Best I can tell, each game he played got him a few stamps and there was a store you could spend them in. He did finally get the puppy, and then he did show me he could feed the dog, wash the dog, etc. He really enjoyed that, but I'm not sure what exactly he learned. He named the dog after his best friend though. Which I found comical. |

My chances of getting out of going to the game are getting smaller and smaller...there has been no rain today. The meteorologists were so wrong today. I'm really annoyed. There are now 3 of us riding together, none of us want to be there, so hopefully on the drive to the stadium, we can figure out some excuse to leave early.

That was awesome b/c it was on our terms and we weren't obligated. We are sitting in a good section with actual tables, wait staff, etc and I know the company will pay for everything. My thing is, you have me for 8+ hours everyday. Let's take care of this bullshit during that time. Leave my evenings to me, to spend with my kid and husband. If you want me to do something outside of those 8 hours, invite my spouse at least. Besides, it's a ballgame, I do not want to discuss my cost savings initiative, I want to drink beer! |

Speaking of ABC Mouse, I did just see something about a program called "Learning Dynamics" and I was kind of intrigued. It's a learn-to-read program that was created by a woman who founded several pre-schools and apparently spent years researching/testing the best way to teach children how to read.
Anyone heard of/used it?

My SIL’s MIL is a speech therapist for a school system and she suggested Starfall to me a few years ago. I only have the free app. Once M started pre-k at the private school here, it’s the program/app the teachers there recommend and use. I thought about getting the subscription, but just never did. I’m still considering it.

My kids may drive me insane tonight. They are both exhausted yet inexplicably awake. B just called for us, sobbing b/c there's a hole in one of his stuffed animals. He wanted me to perform emergency surgery. Sorry, Dr. Mom is off duty for the evening. Got him settled, then C started yelling that she needs her diaper changed. They have both been in bed since 7:30.

I was in the city today to speak with the client executive council and made it back as DH was getting Col's cleats on for a 6:45 game. I stayed home with Chase and it was so fun. I mean he's kind of crazy but he's also silly and affectionate. I do really love this age. Anyhow I wasn't sure I'd make it home before bath time so DH was going to skip the game. I'm glad it worked out!
