To those that are nursing, how many times per day are you? We are only at 4-5x per day. She doesn't get any bottles besides that. About 5 times a day. Once overnight, upon waking for the day, before both naps, and at bedtime. On that note, I need to work on cutting out nursing to sleep, but it makes bed and nap times easier.

I’ve been doing the power pumping for a week now and it’s increased my supply a little bit but not enough to keep up the amount I need. I don’t want to keep pumping my life away.
I’m thinking about supplementing with formula as needed for the next two months this. How do I know what formula to choose? I have zero clue since I didn’t use it with my first.

You could just try regular store brand or regular similac or enfamil. You'll know pretty fast if she's going to have trouble with it, but all the regular formulas are basically the same. They have gentle/reduced lactose and others but I'd start with regular since that's cheaper.

cornflakegirl probably as few as 4 times on the weekends-before each nap (2), before bedtime, and usually 1 time MOTN. Sometimes he wakes at 6ish and I can keep him asleep a little longer by nursing, so that would be 5 at most. Rarely can I get him to nurse unless he is sleepy. During the week, he gets 3 bottles at daycare, once in the evening, once before bedtime, and usually once MOTN.

cornflakegirl During the week, it is 4x and 2 bottles. The morning and bedtime session, she takes both sides. Then one side when I get home and the other when she wakes up from nap.

We buy Target's Up&Up version of Similac advantage. I haven't found anything less expensive and he does just fine on it.

I'm taking C in for an ear check this afternoon. I'm getting nervous since this is exactly how things went with him last EI. Start with more congestion/cough/eye gunk, low grade fever, then within a few days inconsolable and not sleeping flat. It would be awesome if this doesn't turn into an ear infection but I'm not counting on it. Chances are they'll be clear today and infected by end of the weekend like last time.
And we leave for the beach next Thursday ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜. Antibiotic poops and a road trip and swimming sound awful but if he needs them he needs them.

Ears were borderline. Since this is exactly how he presented two months ago the pedi said we could treat it. I agreed because I'd rather have him halfway done with abx when we leave rather than just a couple days in. It's unlikely they would have cleared up rather than gotten worse and with the timing of our trip I'm not chancing it.

C definitely had caught a cold because MH woke up with it Thursday and I'm all stuffy and sore throat this morning. Boo.
The baby is rolling around in his crib but not upset so I'm letting him hang out. It's way too early for him to eat and I'm trying to finish the third Handmaid's Tale episode.
