Big storms this morning, but cleared up for water play for the kids at least..not excited for packing water play stuff 2x a week for the rest of the summer. I forgot to thank my sis for a book about going to k that she sent up with my mom last week and she asked my mom if j got it. So now I'm nervous she is annoyed I'm ungrateful. She gave it to him when I wasnt around and read it to him..I just noticed it on the couch late last night. Why do I get such anxiety about if she is pissed? I guess I'll read it tonight and send a pic or something. Also have tball and then a team meeting tonight. Blerg. What do you have to send for water play? I wouldn’t stress about the book, you literally just got it. She can wait a few days for a thank you. Just have to send kids in swimsuits with hats and sunscreen on and pack a towel and change of clothes. The real headache is remembering to hang up the wet stuff and with j, it is always covered in mulch and makes a total mess. They do love it, so I'm glad they do it -especially since it was 90 degrees today!

Also hi. How did I forget that 6 year molars are a thing? Col was complaining this morning that brushing his teeth was hurting him. I asked where, because my first thought was a cavity. He says something about the tooth behind the ones he's pointing at, but he's pointing to his back molar. Except there's clearly another set cutting through at the bottom. He hasn't complained otherwise but now I get why his teeth have gotten so tight! Other than that, just playing catch-up on my first day back, post-conference. My manager had a death in the family and is out this week, so there are some decisions on hold until he's back. I definitely forgot/maybe didn’t know about 6 year molars. Ugh.

I'm on my third bandage and the bleeding has finally stopped.
Cadence was over tired and refused to sleep tonight. I'm also trying melatonin only every other night in hopes of weaning her off completely by the time school starts. Tonight was not a medicated night, so she wanted to discuss everything.
She has also started doing air quotes, which she clearly doesn't understand and so she uses it when she's pissed. Everything is in quotes when she is cranky, which I find hilarious, and laughing doesn't help her crankiness.

I looked in Cadence's mouth and see no sign of them yet, which is good because she still has these 5 loose teeth in front and I'm all teethed out!

Maybe it’ll be a while before the molars for her.

nam2013 I just remembered what I've heard mentioned on GD a lot. It's ARFID. It's a new diagnosis for the DSM-5. I doubt know if it fits I just remember a lot if discussion about it over there and usually that people hadn't heard of it before. I actually did hear about this. I had a dsm-5 lecture program, specifically aimed at explaining the difference between the dsm4 & Dsm 5. But I kind of forgot. I’ll look it up again .

I’m sorry nam2013. I didn’t realize the extent of his eating issues. I can’t imagine how stressful it is. I hope he realizes the joy of food soon! How is your DD with it? Dd is not a big eater, but will try any and all food. Her favourites are smoked salmon (she loves fish in general) and olives. We just need to be mindful that we’re offering her enough variety.

wineallthetime ewwwwwww 😘. I hope you’re showering now. In fact, maybe scrub everything twice as hard and two layers of shampoo. I swear I'm normally a clean person! I took an extra long hot shower, put on clean pajamas and got into my bed with clean sheets. Then, this morning I showered and put on new clean clothes like a normal human.

I didn’t know 6 year molars were a thing until a month ago or so when N came to me and said “mom, it feels like I have new teeth or something” sure enough, 3.5 of her molars are in and I had no idea. Oops
