do you think some of the hesitation for impeachment (taking the turtle out of the equation) is the fact that the House did impeach Clinton and then the Senate did not convict?
I know an impeachment indictment would not go any further than Mitch's nose at the moment but how much does history play into this, do you think?
I honestly think they're afraid of ot backfiring in 2020 I just wonder if 'appearing to do nothing' but issuing ignored subpoenas is going to help with the non-engaged public. * With Turtle blocking any meaningful legislation, the appearance of all the focus on this can't be good.
* I KNOW they are walking and chewing gum, the general public not so much. That is not my sentiment.

I wonder what difference, if any, Mueller's statement will make on people's opinions about impeachment. Just seeing the wishy-washy statements from Biden and Sanders makes me worry nothing will change.

the Satanic Temple is, I hesitate to use hero we need, against fundamentalist Christians but.....
They are arguing the burying of remains violates their religious freedom
"One of The Satanic Temple’s fundamental tenets is the inviolability of one’s body,” the statement read. “Members of The Satanic Temple believe that non-viable fetal tissue is part of the woman who carries it, and as such, state impositions of ceremonial requirements dictating its disposal, barring any plausible medical or sanitary concerns, is a violation of TST’s Free Exercise allowing Satanists to contextualize the termination of a pregnancy on their own terms, with deference to their own religion beliefs. As such, TST affirms that this rule violates their religious beliefs and asserts that their members may refuse to adhere.”

Just seeing the wishy-washy statements from Biden and Sanders makes me worry nothing will change. I don't think it's going to convince anyone who needs to be convinced. As for Biden and Sanders, I honestly have no cares for their opinions. The only time I'm going to care if IF either of them gets the nomination.

Random of the Day Ranker has an article about Cool Rooms in the White House. Coming in at number 11 is the James Brady Press Room What goes down in here: The White House press secretary gives daily briefings to the media.
Notable events: Every important press conference since 1969.
Where you've seen it in movies/TV: House of Cards, The West Wing, Contact, Deep Impact This room was originally an indoor swimming pool, until President Nixon converted it to a press room to accommodate the growing number of reporters assigned to the White House.
the bolded made me LITERALLY LOL

They're both trying hard to capture that white working class man demographic, so I'm not at all surprised.

Hmmm I just heard a side by side clip of what Barr said and what Mueller said WRT OLC guidance and I'm not sure there's quite as much daylight between the two as it originally seemed. It could be more innocent than it seems, and it could also be that Barr parsed his words in a way that he wanted them heard kwim? But there's definitely a conflict here, it's just not quite as clear cut as the two being completely contradictory.
Barr: "He was not saying that, but for the OLC opinion, he would have found a crime. He made it clear that he had not made the determination that there was a crime."
Mueller: "That was Justice Department policy, those were the principles under which we operated, and from them we concluded that we would--would not reach a determination, one way or the other, about whether the president committed a crime."
Mueller didn't make the determination that there was a crime, but he also didn't make the determination that there was NO crime. And Mueller's statement, as well as the report, make it clear that he felt it was out of bounds for him to call it one way or the other. So Barr is technically correct that OLC didn't constrain an indictment. But that's also not really what Mueller said.

This is positively heinous
“A tarp was hung over the ship’s name ahead of the president’s trip, according to photos reviewed by the Journal, and sailors were directed to remove any coverings from the ship that bore its name.”

Uuummmmmmm WHAT THE FUCK JARED
Netanyahu: "Burning billions (on elections) because of the personal ambitions of one man" (he means Lieberman, but he could be describing himself of course). Now he's speaking of a joint US-Russia-Israel defense committee he's been working on, that Lieberman seems to have ruined.

Trump's tweet this morning is the first acknowledgement Russia helped get him elected: I dont even think he realized what he did there. What's better is that he deleted his first tweet because of a typo but LEFT THAT STUFF IN. He's either completely clueless or knows nobody gives a shit. Probably both.
