Hello. Both kids are napping. I should be working on Laundry, dishes, cleaning the house or E’s party, but I’m not. instead I’m sort of watching a show and E sleeping.
E and I did a target run and grocery shopping earlier. I didn’t buy enough melting chocolate or Oreos for E’s party next week.

Just got home from the Cape. Thank goodness! Today the focus of my SIL and BILs anxiety is was the kids jumping in the pool too close together, belly flopping, and major concern about tipping over while on top of floats (which is the best part). I heard her say under her breath “ooh he makes me so nervous” talking about C. It was all I could do not to snap back “then don’t look”. C looked so confused about the float tipping so when we went in to use the bathroom I explained how if SIL tells her kids not to do something, he shouldn’t either while around them just so he doesn’t upset the kids who can’t do it but that what he is doing isn’t wrong and SIL has different rules. He says “yeah she has sooo many, not just the flipping”. He seemed pretty done too so we bounced soon after. What’s the point of the pool if you stifle all their fun. Also their 5 yo stubbed her toe and legit wailed for at least five minutes. Both parents and grand parents coddled her like crazy. Yes it hurts but shake it off! I expected half her toe to be missing with all those dramatics.
Anyway, I need to let it go. C and I are sunburned. This is Cs first one. He was pink on Friday from school and they hadn’t put his sunscreen on but now it’s more red and his arms are burnt. I feel horrible. He doesn’t seem bothered yet but mind is killing me. I was in the sun without protection for less than 10 mins.

Never will I ever again ask my kid to help me go through and organize her toys, especially when she is new to no naps. She is currently in her room crying for I don't even know why.
I get that she's tired, bit I'm not into the random crying and whining shit. I just can't.
Eta: and there are toys everywhere because we didn't finish. She wants to keep the dumbest crap. I keep putting stuff in the give box anyway.

I got a swim in when mh got home from work and feel human again. I made ceviche for dinner and it is mucho yum. Now I'm sitting in the back patio enjoying my new lounge space. Thankful for a few clouds in the sky

Has anyone else's kid discovered the Barbie song? Cadence found a video of some kids doing a dance routine to it. It's now on repeat. 🙉

chrisy01 how was the rash looking this morning? The rash is worse today. It disappeared under the glass. It looks more like eczema today. I put the same lotion we use on LO to see if it helps. |
