Wet Memorial weekend

The weather forecast has changed approximately 87 times this week and yesterday was all sorts of weather changing every few minutes. We hope to get our yard project started. We'll see.

It's supposed to be mid 80's today. Dh is weed eating and boys and I are going to pick up sticks and rocks from the yard. Well what will someday be a yard.

tgrimes I'm sorry. That really sucks. I've also had some worthless dates nights with MH the last few kids night outside at TKD. I would have rather spent them alone or with a girlfriend. 😒

Should hear back Tuesday what they say on the ultrasound. The radiologist didn't really seem concerned so I think it's 100% dietary.

Went to soccer and to the farmers’ market this morning. Ran a few errands together, and now we’re back home to enjoy the sunshine (And by that I mean asking my to do more home improvement items)

Gorgeous day here, we went strawberry picking and now kids are down for naps and I think I need to lay down too. Maybe this afternoon we will walk on the boardwalk to a playground. Gluten free lasagna tonight - I am so so excited, I haven't had lasagna in probably 6 years!

Hey. I worked this morning and it was pretty boring. I spent most of the time searching online for patio furniture that I need to convince DH to buy. It’s finally nice here after raining all week, in the 70s.

Omg my SIL is so up her kids asses! Their kids are 8 & 5 and hardly know how to ride a bike without training wheels because they are so fearful of the girls getting hurt. In the pool it’s constant “don’t jump too close” “take a break” “no don’t swim so much”. C and his cousin were playing alone upstairs and I had to convince SIL not to go up with them. She couldn’t help herself and they were playing with suitcases and her daughter was in one. The kids didn’t zip it or anything. They’re just being kids but she freaks and makes them come down then C comes crying to me that his Aunt is mad at him.

Then C had a hard time starting off on his bike and threw a quick tantrum and MIL yells and points her finger “you stop that right now!” Dude, he’s allowed to have emotions! She does that again we will have a talk. He wasn’t hurting anyway and just stomped his feet and growled/yelled. He never has tantrums and it lasts all of 15 seconds. He doesn’t need a reprimand.

We had a nice morning though before the rest of the people arrived. I told dh the three of us are going to lunch alone tomorrow to take a break.

Oh also inthekitty we are thinking of a Seattle trip next Summer. We haven’t been since the year before C was born and I think there’s enough there that he would enjoy now. I miss it. Plus if we gtg I’m pretty sure he and your girls will be besties.

mwhip the flood gates will open at the worst possible time! FWIW when I’ve had to use it it takes 4-5 doses.

We have an impromptu date night! Which is so very needed!! My parents have the boys and they're staying all night. It'll be nice to not have a kid yell for me to wipe his butt at 7:30 am. Also Jack's new wake up time is 6:30.... I've been lucky for so long. I guess hes preparing me for baby girl.

wedding it drives me crazy to be around people who intervene and hover so much with kids. Makes gatherings the opposite of relaxing.

Aahhhh! I'd love a Seattle gtg. I think the girls would adore C--especially Maddie. She's a tomboy who loves to rough and tumble with the boys. Ninja Warrior is right up her alley.

Girl, you're a million years pregnant. I know it's hard (part of my 2 hr period of insomnia the other night was thinking I should get up and clean the kitchen and write a report for work...at 1 AM) but the best thing you can ever learn to do for yourself is let yourself relax. It's hotter than hell out, put your feet up and be like Elsa.

I'm really glad you're going on a date night.

Hi again! I was going to check in earlier today but I was such a zombie. I was out celebrating the conference until 5 or 6am on Friday morning and got up at 7, then didn't get home until after 1am. DH kept the kids as quiet as possible so I could sleep until 8:30 and I slept through nap time, so I finally feel human.

Anyhow it was a really productive week and I had a few higher-ups in my big session unveiling the work we've been doing for the last year and a half, which I kicked ass at. I barely talked to the boys or DH but at least I was able to focus. Glad to be home though!

Nothing much planned this weekend. The forecast is good so we've already been to the park once and will be back again. DH mentioned some food truck/splash pad event tomorrow, which should be perfect since it'll be hot.

We went to the pool because none of the neighbors were out. They were all there! So it was great for E to be entertained and get wiggles out. But he did do a great job today just playing with water and spraying the trees and sidewalk. I looked pretty redneck this afternoon sitting in the driveway drinking.
