wedding at that age it's too much. I could understand them being that way when a toddler is around but not at 5. I wonder what brings it on for her, was there an incident or is it her or a kids personality? It’s just her personality. I remember when her youngest was three and she wouldn’t let her walk on the stone pavers leading up to the house alone in case she fell. She was a steady walker so there was no reason for concern. The youngest doesn’t seem too effected by her parents anxiety but it’s definitely rubbed off on the older one and she is so scared of things. The odd thing is that she has them in gymnastics. Maybe the mats make her feel better? I know she did it while younger so maybe that is why. Also they bought this house that has an awesome master with vaulted ceilings, big bathroom and balcony. They don’t use it because it’s “too far away from the girls”. They sleep through the night and are old enough to make their way to the master if needed. It’s insane to me! I feel like my MIL and FIL totally buy into it too and look down on my more free range parenting. This is why I refuse to stay more than one night. |

wedding that's probably diagnosable for something. They really need to take a chill pill. I wonder if there was some ppa or pre-existing anxiety. Your parenting with C is just fine and not free range

Kids both have fever. Dd enjoyed her party, but was very subdued 😕. We called off the people that were coming this afternoon. She got spoiled rotten.

I’m so far behind on what’s new with y’all, I’ll try to go back and skim the highlights.
Last couple weeks have been crazy with end-of-year stuff, but B has officially graduated and summer is here. Looking forward to a couple weeks off from the routine before camp starts.
DH and I went to TopGolf last night and it was so much fun. It’s a billion degrees here today so we will be in the pool.

Good morning. Yesterday we spent the day at the boardwalk and this morning DH and I took a long walk with C to check out the menus of local restaurants. Today is beautiful so we will spend the day at the beach. My sister’s family is leaving after that and then we have friends coming for drinks tonight. I met my next door neighbor last night and she immediately offered up her 20 year old daughter for babysitting and gave me the history of our house which was cool.

Morning! SIL had her baby yesterday so we are on our way to visit. Can’t wait for some fresh baby snuggles! Then we’re going to have our first night in the camper. We’re just going to a cute campground by the river in town. It should be a good trial run and it’s a beautiful day.

Just finishing up a 4 mile jog to the Sound. We got a ton of work done in the yard yesterday before the rain. Demo is basically done. Next phase after clearing out the debris is power washing and painting the fence.
Yesterday we got a great outdoor dining set on sale.

Power washing really saturates the wood. I love to powerwash. It makes my OCD so damn happy. |

We have a cookout at my uncle's later. We went and got the boys at 11. They're laying down for naps now and mom and I are going to a barn sale. I need a end table for my living room. Hoping to find a unique piece. Also meeting a lady to sell the old invisible fence collars we have. Easy $100.

I ordered this gizmo today that turns a regular garden hose into a pressure washer. I watched the infomercial and was sold, lol. Obviously doesn’t have the bleach component like a gas-powered one, but for just run of the mill cleaning, it looks great. We want a legit pressure washer once we move back to FL but I’m excited to try this out in the meantime. |

So. Hot. We didn't last long at the event because the splash park was closed (on a 85 degree day?) and they didn't even have tented areas to eat. It was miserable, though Col got his face painted for the first time.
I took advantage of the heat and sun to clean up the deck table and chairs and now I'm helping (i.e., waiting for a task) DH put together Col's new bed. He's so excited (Colin, not DH).

We use it to clean the concrete dog kennels, our boats, cars, decks. It’s not as powerful as a gas pressure washer, but is sure a lot easier to manage. |

Aladdin, grocery store, Subway and we're finally home. Mh is at his friend's, likely for the night, so I grabbed a frozen pizza for dinner.
Aladdin was good. Since it was a family party, before the movie there are crafts and pictures, then in the theater they call kids down to do activities or whatever. Cadence kept saying she wanted to be on the stage, so when they called for kids she ran down. They just told everyone what the would wish for. She said she wishes she were a mermaid. She was do excited. LOL
