Week/Fruit/EDD: 20w1d; paper airplane: October 7 FTM, Etc: 3rd timer Appointments: today! Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): still green! Milestones: half-baked! Symptoms: finally feeling kicks every day. Rants: nada! Raves: today’s appointment was awesome—first I learned I don’t have previa (!!!!) and then everything looked perfect at the anatomy scan—and we said we didn’t want to find out the gender and she said “Good because this baby’s legs are clamped shut and it doesn’t want you to know.” So it was meant to be. One fun fact I learned today—if you can believe ultrasound measurements, my kid is in the 85th percentile. GTKY: What are you reading/watching/listening to? Any book, music, movie, show, podcast recommendations?? Obsessed with binging Grey’s Anatomy on Netflix right now—I am on Season 10. Week/Fruit/EDD: 21w 6d/ Pomegranate/ Sept 25
FTM, Etc: FTM
Appointments: June 5
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): Blue
Milestones: H finally got to feel him kicking! It’s so nice for him to feel a part of it now
Symptoms: heartburn, tailbone hurts
Rants: Nothing in particular
Raves: Had a great time with my mom while she was in town, super happy I got to see her 😊
GTKY: What are you reading/watching/listening to? Any book, music, movie, show, podcast recommendations?? Currently rewatching The Venture Brothers, which is one of my all time favorite shows. It’s essentially a cartoon about the son of a super scientist who used to be a boy adventurer like Johnny Quest, but he grew up and has his own kids and his own issues due to his fucked up childhood. It’s funny as hell and once you get into the later seasons it gets REALLY good

musicallyinclined, have you ever taken Magnesium for your migraines? I had a doctor recommend it for prevention and it’s really helped me

musicallyinclined, have you ever taken Magnesium for your migraines? I had a doctor recommend it for prevention and it’s really helped me +1 to magnesium. I’m up to twice a day supplements (to help with sleep, headaches, and SPD), but it helped ward them off when I was having constant migraines with DS2 (that and drinking electrolyte water constantly- I still got them here and there, but it stopped being daily)

Week/Fruit/EDD: 19w 1D / zucchini / Oct 14
FTM, Etc: STM
Appointments: Had OB appt today and anatomy scan Thurs!
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): Blue
Milestones: I can't believe it's anatomy scan time!
Symptoms: Aside from the constant peeing, I'm feeling really good right now. *knocks on wood*
Rants: I just really wanted a beer today.
Raves: I really hated pregnancy with my first, but this time around it isn't phasing me at all. I wonder if I'm just not at the "hate" stage yet (although it felt like the whole time last time) or if working out is really helping my body and my mental state that much. (I didn't work out at all last time, aside from gentle prenatal yoga, which isn't really a workout, and this time I am at the gym 3-4x/week.) Anyway, I haven't gained any weight yet, and I'm just feeling good, which is such a surprise because I really hated every second of being pregnant the first time around.
GTKY: What are you reading/watching/listening to? Any book, music, movie, show, podcast recommendations?? I don't podcast, and I never have time to watch movies or TV. I read a ton, but I'm not sure if anyone here is into YA fiction? If so, I have lots of recs.

stayingblonde I'm glad this pregnancy is going much better for you, so far! And yes to some YA recs! I like them but find that the series I've tried read tend to fall flat for me at the end (Maze Runner, Hunger Games, and there was another I cant remember) so I've been kind of avoiding the genre. But I haven't looked in a while so I'm curious to see what you recommend!

I've never tried that. I'll ask my doc at my next appointment. I've dealt with chronic migraines for almost 20 years now (yes, childhood migraines). I have some great preventative medication but it causes low birth weight and I make small babies anyway, I don't want to add that risk. But thanks for the tip!

But I haven't looked in a while so I'm curious to see what you recommend! Was it Divergent? Because...same. LOL If you like fantasy, some YA fantasy series I've enjoyed are: The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater Caraval by Stephanie Garber The Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor The Lynburn Legacy by Sarah Rees Brennan (first book is Unspoken) The Winner's Trilogy by Marie Rutkoski (first book is The Winner's Curse) Here are some that I haven't read but are highly recommended: The Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas Shadow and Bone trilogy by Leigh Bardugo A Darker Shade of Magic series by VE Schwab (not sure if this one is considered YA or not) Lumatere Chronicles by Melina Marchetta (first book is Finnikin of the Rock) Graceling trilogy by Kristin Cashore An Ember in the Ashes by Saaba Tahir* Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyami* Want by Cindy Pon* *I don't believe these series are complete yet I don't read a ton of fantasy, so I don't have a *ton* of recs for that. If you're intrested in any contemporary/realistic titles, I can give you more of those. My favorite is romance/rom-com.

Week/Fruit/EDD: 24w4d, Eggplant, 9/8
FTM, Etc: STM
Appointments: I have an MFM follow up on Friday.
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): Pink
Milestones:
Symptoms: Still so much heartburn and peeing a lot.
Rants: Just over work lately. I really don't think I'm coming back after this baby. I'll go back to work but need to find something else.
Raves: I picked up some paint chips yesterday for the nursery. I think I'm finally going to start putting that room together and figuring out what to do with DS's room. We're not quite ready for big boy room yet but I want to move the glider to the nursery and figure out something else for a reading nook in his room.
GTKY: What are you reading/watching/listening to? Any book, music, movie, show, podcast recommendations?? I'm still in Game of Thrones mode right now, listening to recap podcasts. Just started watching Dead to Me. There's a few other shows coming up that I want to watch too.

I still refuse to watch the last movie of the Divergent series because I like to pretend that the end didn't happen.

I have so many feelings about Divergent. LOL
You're right, they never made the final movie. The whole thing was so bad they just gave up and hoped no one noticed. 🤣
