For the purposes of this check-in, we will define extended breastfeeding as breastfeeding beyond 1 year. Questions are repeated and suggestions are appreciated! 1. How old is your LO? 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 3. What is something about extended BFing that surprised you? 4. Which nursing session of the day is your LO most attached to (wake-up, naptime, before bed...)? Pregnant & BFing/Tandem nursing Moms: How are you doing? Any issues with supply, pain, aversion? Questions for other moms? GTKY: What's your worst diaper blowout story?

For the purposes of this check-in, we will define extended breastfeeding as breastfeeding beyond 1 year. Questions are repeated and suggestions are appreciated! 1. 3.45 yo 2. 1-3x 3. How she has no interest in stopping or dropping sessions. She would nurse so much more during the day if I let her. 4. Definitely a toss up between first thing in the morning and in the evening. It can alternate. GTKY: I don’t know if I have any great blowout stories I can remember, but DD2 has a baby was a profuse puker (thanks FPIES) and I was shopping in target when she couldn’t have been much more than a new born and she puked all over me, all over the little girls section and on some clothes. They were really nice about it 😬

We are on day 7 of no nursing so looks like we are done! It’s definitely bittersweet but I’m thankful to have my body back before the next baby comes in a few months. Thank you for all the support! Keep on boobin.

1. How old is your LO? 19 months 2. How many times per day does your LO nurse? 2x 3. What is something about extended BFing that surprised you? Hmmm. I guess for us, he doesn't really ask to nurse. I nurse him before nap and before bed. That's just the routine. 🤷 He gets excited and smiles/giggles at me when we get settled. 4. Which nursing session of the day is your LO most attached to (wake-up, naptime, before bed...)? Definitely nap time.
GTKY: What's your worst diaper blowout story? Ds1 pooped on me and our couch. Blaaahhh newborn, breastmilk poop and removal couch covers so easy clean up ... But still. Ds2 eats an absurd amount of food and loves vegetables that are high in fiber. 🤢

1. 20 mo
2. A million, it seems
3. How attached he still is, despite wanting to be very independent in other aspects.
4. After school. It's his reconnecting time.
GTKY: Oh lordt. There was one that happened in the Sbux drive thru. The closest place with a changing table was Target, so I had to carry in the infant seat, clean up the screaming baby in their echoing bathroom, and try to wipe down the car seat so we could continue on to the best of our abilities. It managed to get on every surface of that damn seat. I was still on maternity leave and very #new to baby life.
