Week/Fruit/EDD: 20w 5d/banana/Sept 25
FTM, Etc: FTM
Appointments: June 5!
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): Blue ♥️
Milestones: Hit the halfway mark! More than halfway if I don’t go the full 40!
Symptoms: Peeing all night, moodiness. Hormones are turning me crazy
Rants: Nothing making me particularly mad at the moment thank goodness
Raves: My momma is coming to visit, which I’m over the moon about! That and I bit the bullet and got a new car, a mom ride. It’s stressful but necessary, it is infinitely safer than my old car and doesn’t have the same issues. Just nervous about having a car payment again 😱
GTKY: What is your idea of a perfect weekend trip? Where would you go? I love Monterey, and going to the aquarium and cannery row sounds magical to me right now! Especially now that the weather is heating up. I hate the heat so much!

Week/Fruit/EDD: 19w/Oct 3
FTM, Etc: 3rd
Appointments: 20w app on Thursday
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): pink
Milestones: nothing new
Symptoms: exhaustion and heartburn. Oh joy..
Rants: see above
Raves: halfway there. Officially not allowed to go past 40w. Tentatively inducing at 39w unless I follow suit with the boys and get to a 2/3” before that (fast labors so car baby is a true concern, even for the midwives)
GTKY: What is your idea of a perfect weekend trip? Where would you go? Wine country with a designated driver 🙃

Week/Fruit/EDD: 20w, 3d/banana/9.27
FTM, Etc: 4th baby
Appointments: next week
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): Team Pink!
Milestones: Halfway there. I can't believe there's just over 4 months left...
Symptoms: Tired. And since I've been off meds, I get waves of nausea but nothing too bad. Peeing a lot. And, tired.
Rants:
Raves: I get another ultrasound because they didn't get a great look at her heart (but assured me it doesn't mean anything bad, they just want a better look). And we sold our house within 48 hours of listing it. We aren't officially sold but there was an offer and we accepted and now we're moving through inspection and attorney review so, yay!
GTKY: What is your idea of a perfect weekend trip? Where would you go? Hmm maybe just a drive to a mountain-y area and a stay at a cabin. It sounds so relaxing and chill.

Week/Fruit/EDD: 17, chipmunk, oct 22 (confirmed with midwife finally!)
FTM, Etc: TTM
Appointments: Saw the midwife Thursday. HB 145/150, everything was good! Next appt is June 13 but my anatomy scan is May 31.
The midwife did talk to us a bit about a birth location plan because my entire labour with DS was just over 3 hours and we live like 20 minutes from the birth center. That is still our plan we just need to be prepared to go as soon as things seem real to avoid a side of the road birth 😳😬 She did review with us what to do if we think we won’t make it to the birth Center and will do so again closer to birth. DH really hopes we make it lol
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): green
Milestones: apparently baby’s brain is starting to control heartbeat and baby has arms and legs that are the same proportions as they will be at birth now
Symptoms: the exhaustion is improving a bit. My boobs are so heavy and sensitive but otherwise I feel really good
Rants: none at the moment!
Raves: my DH and kids (and parents) all spoiled me for mother’s day yesterday which was really nice. I can’t believe in a few short months our family will be complete!
GTKY: What is your idea of a perfect weekend trip? Where would you go? Well I love tropical or the beach but from where I live (Canadian prairies) that is not really doable for a weekend... I turned 30 this year and my parents gift to me was a weekend away with DH at a spa. So we are flying to Kelowna BC and going to a spa resort for a weekend in June. Massages, fancy hotel, fancy meals, vineyards. If I could drink the wine it would be even better but for right now that sounds like a pretty great weekend trip to me!

Week/Fruit/EDD: 18w / sweet potato / Oct 14
FTM, Etc: STM
Appointments: OB appt and anatomy scan next week
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): Blue!
Milestones: Wore my first maternity item today. Didn't really need it yet, but it was the first thing I grabbed in my closet.
Symptoms: Just constant peeing right now. Nothing else too bad...feeling pretty good, actually.
Rants: Nothing much is bugging me at the moment. This is the good part. I'm trying to enjoy it. (Was bummed I couldn't have some beers at MH's bff's birthday party this weekend, but it was probably for the better.)
Raves: Stoked on no weight gain yet (knock on wood)...I gained 60 lbs with my son and I do NOT want to deal with that again. So I've been paying attention so far and things have been good.
GTKY: What is your idea of a perfect weekend trip? Where would you go? Anything with a beach and umbrella drinks. I love relaxing by the beach (or at a pool by the beach), having some cocktails, and just hanging out. Fun activities are optional. Yummy food is not.

doodlemommy I’m glad you have a plan in place! The car baby fear is real here, too, so I get it DS2 was just over 2 hours, and I went from 8cm to baby in 10 minutes, so I’m not allowed to go into labor on my own 😞 (plus, I hemorrhaged with DS1, so I absolutely have to be in a facility for delivery)

cmb doodlemommy I was just talking to my friends this weekend about their car baby! It was #3 for them, and they had her in the car in the parking lot of their birthing center. They almost made it. LOL But at least they got the midwife out there in time to help.

Week/Fruit/EDD: 23w/Barbie doll/sept 9
FTM, Etc: 3TM
Appointments: in a couple of weeks
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): green
Milestones: a lot more movement and more consistent
Symptoms: hungry, swelling, SPD
Rants: for the 2nd time an airline has lost a car seat so we filed a claim through them today. So lame.
Raves: had a great trip in Seattle/Portland this past week
GTKY: What is your idea of a perfect weekend trip? Where would you go? We wouldn’t fly somewhere for a weekend since if we are paying that kinda $$ we’d stay a whole week, but we’d probably go to the beach which is a few hours drive away.

Week/Fruit/EDD: 19/zesty zucchini/October 7
FTM, Etc: 3
Appointments: next week anatomy scan
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): green
Milestones: I’m in that nice middle zone where I don’t need to wake up in the middle of the night to pee
Symptoms: knock on wood but this is usually when the heartburn kicks in for me and it hasn’t yet
Rants: wish my scan could be this week...been dying to know about my placenta.
Raves: finally was able to break the news to more people..still haven’t announced on social media though.
GTKY: What is your idea of a perfect weekend trip? Where would you go? Were within driving distance to Chicago so I would say there—always something to do year round.

cmb Last time was American and this time was Alaska. Sigh. We have the worst luck traveling with carseats. Maybe I should get a neon travel bag for them. It was pretty humorous when we asked the baggage claim lady at Alaska what we do if they can't find it and she tried saying that we get to keep the loaner as a replacement. UMMMMM NOOOO!! Your cheap crap seat does not equal what we lost.

Week/Fruit/EDD: 19w4d / Hot Dog / Oct 5
FTM, Etc: 2TM
Appointments: OB this Friday
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): Green
Milestones: Not a baby milestone, but the office of the midwife I'd like to transfer to when we move is reviewing my records and will let me know in a few days if they can take me.
Symptoms: Gag reflex. If I get crap sleep, I'm super exhausted. Cramps while running (boo).
Rants: What is with the cramping while running? I didn't have this with my first, so it's odd. I don't like it. Also still not feeling much movement. With #1 I didn't get anything consistent until after 20 weeks so I'm just waiting for it.
Raves: Feeling great otherwise!
GTKY: What is your idea of a perfect weekend trip? Where would you go? Going somewhere new with my family. We like to do mini road trips and hike, eat at fun restaurants, and see the cool sights. Especially if it's something off-beat.

Oh, another fun milestone: First person looked at me and realized I was pregnant. We had a sitter last Saturday night and after she said hi she said "You expecting a baby, mama?" It was super cute and made me feel less bloated, haha.

Week/Fruit/EDD: 15+6, Nov 1
FTM, Etc: 2nd
Appointments: 5/23 (next Thurs)
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): 💚
Milestones: I think I’ve been feeling the baby roll over down low, but I have an anterior placenta, so I am probably imagining it.
Symptoms: brain confusion after 3pm, sacroiliac pain, tiredness
Rants: It’s great that no one wants to guess when you are pregnant, but when you are pregnant you want that reassurance that you look pregnant not just like you’ve been in the cookie tin. 🤰🏻
Raves: I think I did okay at my presentation yesterday. I hardly ever feel that confident about my work.
GTKY: What is your idea of a perfect weekend trip? Where would you go?
For this time of year, gardens. Right now I’d just love to be pampered though with nice touches or primping. I wish I could justify it.

My first was a precipitous birth and came a month and a half early. They don’t know why and have told me to be prepared for this one to come sooner and faster. It worries me because:
A. The hospital with NICU facilities is an hour away. B. We have 1 car for our family. C. This time we have a kiddo we need to figure out last minute care for. (Parents not local) D. H has decided to invite a bunch of strangers to our house mid-September and wanted to plan a weekend trip. No, he didn’t confer with me. In September. I could go into labor then. E. I need to get paperwork finalized to delay my phd confirmation because otherwise they’ll want me to fly back in September. But I can’t do that until 20 weeks pregnant with doctor’s note.
I’m just sticking my head in the sand for now.

roseinbloom our family isn’t local either. Do you have neighbors that could help out in a pinch? We had one of my workmates come watch DS1 when I got sent in with DS2, and I’ll like run to whomever is home here begging them to watch the boys if I get sent in unexpectedly this time. ETA- do you have a more local hospital? There’s only one here with a NICU and the locals have gotten super quick and efficient on transferring to the NICU hospital when necessary

Week/Fruit/EDD: 19w4d, Oct 6
FTM, Etc: 3TM
Appointments: anatomy scan was Tuesday, ob on the 20th
Team (pink, blue, green, finding out): pink
Milestones: half-way there! They won't let me go past 39 weeks due to blood pressure
Symptoms: tired, cranky, (tmi) constipated
Rants: my blood pressure was 159/88 because of nerves at my anatomy scan visit, even though it's usually 132/75 at home. They put me on labetalol again, which makes me more tired and woozy. Also my cervical length was 3.1cm which freaked me out even though they said it was fine.
Raves: Baby girl looked great at the anatomy scan!! She was moving around alot, and I can feel her a lot more recently as well.
GTKY: What is your idea of a perfect weekend trip? Where would you go?
To the beach! I love the beach.

cmb, I think maybe, but I hate the idea of being so indebted to them. I don’t know how you would return something like that. He’s 3 and most of our neighbors are retired or nearing retirement. There is a local hospital and it goes without saying we’d do whatever we have to for everything to be safe for the baby. But if I gave birth locally and the child needed the NICU, I couldn’t be transferred with the baby and admitted to the other hospital. So if something went wrong and I couldn’t get discharged immediately, we’d be separated and with poor H running all over the place. It would really suck.

I think we maybe could ask some of his friends parents and return the favor another time. Only one set without a newborn though. It could just be such a huge inconvenience for someone. I don’t know, I need to think on it more.

babystandish, how do you still go running with SPD? That’s amazing. Today I went about my daily business too hard and nearly had my legs buckle out from under me from sciatica. I don’t know how you push through that!

I don’t know how you push through that! I just kind of push through it. I’m seeing a chiropractor every other week and I use KT tape on my belly on any runs over 4 miles that helps a bit.

When I wake up at night, my entire lower half is super stiff and painful. I walk like I’m an unoiled tin man. Today, I’m walking like I’m an 80 year old woman. I’m so over this. I had this with DS2, but it didn’t pop up until the last leg of it.
DS1 has been an absolute jerk lately, and I’m just so over his attitude.
My BP was higher than usual at my app on Thursday, and I’m already swelling like crazy 😪
I totally just told DH to schedule his ✂️ for August if he wanted because no way am I doing all this again even in a what if situation
