I've been using Trader Joe's brand powder because that is what my friend who I bought her NB stash from used. I was thinking about switching. No problems, but I just don't go to TJs much. Costco has powdered HE tide on sale. What is the consensus on it? Problems? If not that, what other brand do you recommend that is easy to find in b&m stores of Amazon prime?
Thanks!!

I use powdered HE Tide free and gentle and have had no issues. Tried switching to Persil and couldn't figure it out(kept having ammonia issues), so switched back. I know a lot of others on here love Persil. You can get Persil powder/pearls on Walmart.com with free store pickup.

A lot of us had issues with Tide in HE machines. They changed the formula about a year into my using it and all of a sudden I either had stink or ammonia. Unless I did a ton of rinses. I'm a fan of the Persil powder. Sometimes it's on Amazon, but last time I got it online from Walmart.
Do you know how hard your water is?

Lol I think medium hardness. I've not added softener in my current routine, but so add a extra rinse after the wash cycle. Maybe I'll just go for the persil. Thanks ladies!

Cool. Well I suppose I could try tide since it's easy to get and if it leads to stink, I will use it forever for normal clothes loads. Thanks for all the input ladies!

I buy the Tide HE from Costco and haven't had issues. I had a brief touch of ammonia on diapers that had been sitting for over 24 hr when I was using it to line 1, but when I backed it down to 2 tbsp., it resolved itself.

Piggybacking off your thread.. What would you use for a baby with sensitive skin and medium water hardness? Currently we use the Sam's club generic powder detergent and haven't had any issues with them getting clean.
