I always disliked this trope! I’m sure there’s a basis in psychology for it but never rubs me the right way!

I’m not sure Loki and Kylo Ren are the best examples of what the author is trying to prove (I don’t watch Avatar, so cant say anything about Zuko). We’ve never had on screen interaction between Kylo and Leia, and I see some of Loki’s moods in Dark World more as petulance and brooding vs flat out rejection. His father locked him up, and his mom is talking feelings, I don’t entirely blame him for acting like an irritating child in that scene.
It’s definitely an icky trope, I’m just not sure these are two of the best examples.

Other than not blowing up the ship she was on himself, we've seen zero interaction.
