We have our final walk through today so I need to clean my house and tackle my laundry mountain. I also need to do a grocery order and meal plan. And stop at the library.

Morning ladies! We had storms all night, so I slept like crap. Apparently the puppy isn't much of a fan of lightning and thunder all night because she kept waking me. I let her out to potty at 4:15, then went back to sleep. Woke just before 5 to the sound of a dog about to vomit by my head. I did manage to get her outside before it happened, somehow.
Still trying to get caught up at work. Evie has a dentist appointment this afternoon, so hopefully I can get enough done that I don't need to come back to the office after it's over and can work from home, if needed.

I had a dream that both my sisters and I were pregnant at the same time. And they were extremely mad, because I promised them my baby gear. In my dream I bought both of them a whole new set, new crib, stroller, changing table, the works. Out of guilt... When I told my sisters about the dream, they thought this was a very good solution 😂😂😂. |

Morning! DH is home on vacation from work the rest of the week so he took H to school. I need to get out and work on removing the grass because it’s supposed to rain starting this afternoon through tomorrow. I also need to get the laundry done.

Morning. N was scratching her head last night and now I'm itchy and I'm petrified of a lice situation. I'm hoping it's the power of suggestion, but eek.
I was up til 12 trying to figure out how to record audio in .wmv format which was required for the project without luck. I emailed the professor and apparently .mp3 format is fine. I would have had it done last night but the instructions said submit only in this format 😞. And I have a demo first thing tomorrow and a ton of stuff to prep for it, so prob another late night today.

Hey babes.
Got back into the swing of things with yoga at 5 am and it felt so good to have that and a shower out of the way before the kids were up.
Pete was a super grouch last night because he thinks he’s going to get dispatched to MN next week for a work summit. I’m like, Dude, I get it but we’ll be fine here and you get to sleep in a quiet hotel room for a few nights. Poppy has been waking up all night every night. MN will probably feel like a vacation. 🤷♀️

MH leaves for the rest of the week mid-day today. Too soon and bad week to go. Between me and the kids- so much happening this week. I need to figure out mother’s day and teacher appreciation gifts, along with Mother’s Day events at both boys schools, and top it with baseball three times this week. We have two birthday parties on Saturday. MH should be back sometime that morning/ early afternoon.
We may be eating a lot of takeout this week.

lahdeedah, if it weren't for breakfast for dinner and chicken nuggets, my kids wouldn't have eaten many meals since February. Do what you must!

Morning friends. Got a good workout in this morning and I'm finding that I get tired between 9-10.30(ish), I need to find a remedy for this because napping at my desk would probably be unacceptable.

Good afternoon!
Thanks to the title of this thread I remembered I need to wash DH’s ball uniform for tonight and my own clothes.
N had his first tball game last night and he did so good! Completely different child compared to last year, he went on the field and took his turn at bat with no tears or anxious questions.
Our crazy summer schedule has begun and I’m already exhausted but excited... we have ball every night of the week plus tournaments on weekends.

They want us to do something every day, and I just can’t. So it’s gift cards for all our teachers, too. And probably a nice card, and they’re all kind of into healthy living so maybe a cold-pressed juice or smoothie. |

I too had a good morning workout and feel mentally back on track. Swim lessons tonight. Oh and apparently Es jock itch issue is so bad the teacher commented on it yesterday. I went to the store and got spray stuff. I really hope it helps or we have some habits to break.

I baked cinnamon rolls this morning for the breakfast and took them in and an on the hook for spending the $45 I've collected from parents for extras later this week with treats. Not going to lie, we have 16 kids and 5 families are contributing to extras - 2 of us being the organizers.. I'm kind if side eyeing the rest. I said it was optional and only donate like $5. The whole class will get credit though 🙄.
I'm a former teachers pet and former teacher though, so I may be a bit extra.
Eta: I prob wouldn't be so involved if I didn't love our teachers though, so I recognize not everyone may not be in that situation. Also when I taught I got maybe got a picture drawn from my kids, and that was rewarding enough. The kids drew cards for their teachers yesterday and they were so sweet and the teachers seemed smitten with the effort.

(This is just a discussion post and not a complaint about those that have days) Our bosses take us to lunch on Administrative Prof. Day. This year most of the staff skipped it (I was flying to CO). We hate having to eat with the partners and wish they wouldn't give us that as a "gift".
They also give us gift cards on that day and around Christmas and lately they've been giving chair massages in the office, but that's not just for staff.

General nice place to work with good benefits. I feel like the "days" are mostly selfless fields - particularly teachers and nurses. I dont do anything on bosses day and we don't have an admin, so not sure about those. But if I had an admin, I'd def do something..and hopefully I'd be making more and could give a nice gift! |

My main supervisor has never done anything for us. One night a contract worker was in from out of town doing work. There were late night meetings. He asked everyone to chip in on pizza. We used to have annual BBQ events that mostly the secretary just wanted to have. He would bring napkins and charcoal and made it a pot luck. Heck I just had my first evaluation with him in 3yrs. *but he doesn't track anyones hours and allows us to work from home 1 day a week. This isn't appreciation but that he isn't a total ass
My secondary supervisor used to give 4hours of on-call time a month (aka free vacation) because a lot of people worked extra hours. She does a holiday lunch at an indian buffet for about 30people and regularly has food brought in.
We don't get bonuses or gift cards due to being a university
