The Trying to Conceive After a Loss thread is posted once a week (generally on Tuesday) for those of us who have unfortunately experienced a loss. No matter what type of loss you've experienced, from miscarriage to stillbirth to the loss of a child, it is heartbreaking. This thread is to help us commiserate, get support, and to try to navigate trying to conceive, after a loss, every week.
Out of respect to all the ladies here, please add a trigger warning if you decide to talk about any living children and please hide your signature if it contains pictures or tickers of babies or children. We also kindly ask for grads to refrain from commenting in this thread.
**If this is your first check-in, and you would like to provide a gtky loss history intro go for it. If not, no worries!**

No one else? I guess I'll go first. How are you doing? Not so good this week. Really stressed. See Debbie Downer. Also, H and I have to go away this weekend, and the friend who was supposed to watch the dog backed out, so right now my only option is to leave him at home and have someone come and let him out a couple times a day. He's got separation anxiety issues, so I'm really not super pleased about this, but I really can't come up with anything else =/ Status (TTA, TTC, Benched): Benched Diagnosis (if applicable): RPL Updates/questions: Nada =/ POAS because I was feeling off, but snow white, so I guess it's just hormones being shitty. I did, however, make progress on my teeth. I have an appointment now to get moulds made for my temporary plate. I got the insurance papers in the mail today and it turns out it's going to cost less than I anticipated, which means more gets to go towards my actual surgery. I also was thinking about it and I think the anesthesia is covered under medical, which means I'll probably get that covered separately. It's making me slightly less stressed about the whole thing. Debbie downer (a place to vent ) : TW - OPP {Spoiler} Had 2 different people announce their pregnancies on FB today. One is my cousins ex wife, who is now having her 3rd child in just over 3 years. Couldn't even say who the dad is...
I'm currently looking into possibilities for blocking that sort of thing from my FB because they both hit me really hard, but if I can't, I might just take a social media break.
QOTW : What is your favorite summertime treat? All the melon!!

Speedy I'm sorry about the situation with the dog. That must be frustrating. I'm glad you are moving forward on the dental work and that it looks like it won't be as expensive as expected. That is always nice. ***TW OPP*** I'm so sorry you are having to see that. I have unfollowed several people for a similar reason. If it's good for your mental health, I say go for it. **Hugs**

Radley, I'm sorry that you're having such a rough time. I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you that they can figure out what's going on. It is extremely frustrating, even more so because the past few times I've had to leave him with family something happened. When we went to Holland we had to pawn him off on my ILs after they said no, because we couldn't find anyone else, and then MIL was calling my BFF telling her to tell me to come get the dog (language barrier issues). And then I think I documented what went down on our recent trip to Ontario. At least I had a chat with my neighbors and told them what was going on, so they know that even if he is crying that it's not going to last forever. As for FB, it's definitely not a good deal right now, especially after everything that happened last week. I can't completely quit because it's one of my only modes of communication with my parents and brother, but I definitely think I'm going to step back after this coming weekend

How are you doing? Good in general, but sad about TTC
Status (TTA, TTC, Benched): TTC
Diagnosis (if applicable): unexplained IF
Updates/questions: Just chilling on cycle 3 AL. **TW warning maybe** A part of me was hopeful since I got pregnant once that some of the lifestyle changes I made had actually made a difference. Each month after our loss that passes makes me less hopeful. I keep wanting to talk to MH about IVF. We had agreed to do it in 2018, so I'm trying to just have fun through the summer and not worry until fall. But the more days that pass, the more I realize I have to try at least one IVF cycle.
Debbie downer (a place to vent ) : **TW warning** I should be 22 weeks pregnant. It seems like our m/c was so long ago, yet yesterday at the same time. And then I keep worrying that if I get pregnant again it'll end in another loss. TTCAL sucks balls.
QOTW : What is your favorite summertime treat? ice cream, specifically cookie dough ice cream! Oh, and ice cold beer!

Hi all,
I am doing ok. A bit meh and up and down but overall, I'm ok.
Status: TTC (WTO)
Diagnosis: NA- 3 losses, 2 consecutive
Update/questions/combined with my Debbie downer: also finding all the announcements tough. Really feels like I'm surrounded by pregnant women right now!

Forgot the QOTW- definitely good ice cream place ice cream. Our local cold rock (Australia's Cold Stone) has an amazing white chocolate ice cream and a salted caramel that I love.

Hey guys, I want to reply to each of you but I'm out of town this weekend for a convention and replying on my phone is a pain. Just wanted to let you guys know I'm thinking about you <3
Hubs was supposed to come with me, but I got a call from him last night that one of his bosses was coming to pick me up so I could drive him to the hospital because a 50 lb box had fallen on his head. He got quite a good gash and has a concussion. Ended up spending the night in the hospital for observation. He's at home now, not doing anything except napping, eating, and petting the dog lol. Apparently everyone keeps calling him though, and he's pretty annoyed.

Speedy thank you. Would it be easier to board your dog or is it cost prohibitive? It must be incredibly irritating to have that problem repeatedly. I'm thinking of taking a FB break too. I've been incredibly stressed lately and I think cutting back on media will help me be more present. ETA: I just saw your other post. I'm so sorry about your H. I hope he is feeling better and heals quickly. That must have been very painful.

kariann **hugs** I'm so sorry. It wouldn't hurt to bring up IVF to him. Even if you ultimately still decide to wait until '18 to start the process, he'll know how much you are thinking about it. Or y'all could decide to proceed sooner. Either way, maybe having a newly discussed game plan, will help you relax and have fun this summer the way you want. Also **TW**: I should be 25 weeks pregnant and somehow being closer to what my due date should have been then to my miscarriage is messing with my head. I agree that somehow it simultaneously feels like it was last week and so long ago. I hate how quickly my EDD is coming up. nevertoomanyshoes I'm sorry about the announcements. It's so very hard to see those all the time. *hugs*

Yes, it is extremely annoying, but it ended up working out with H having to stay home. Speaking of which, H is doing okay, just napping a lot to heal his brain. He was talking to his work and they really don't want to pay workers comp, so he is going to be going to work for 3 hours a day to sit in an office, and his vacation he was supposed to be on is being shifted. I'm having fun at the convention anyways. Dressed up as my white rabbit today :-) been talking to H several times a day, but I have to drive home early tonight.

Speedy, have you ever tried Rover.com for a sitter? One of my two dogs has super anxiety, so we can't really kennel her and it's been a life saver. I hire someone to stay at our house, and even though she doesn't love having someone new around all the time, it's much easier for her to at least be in the familiar environment. But you can also find plenty of people who will let your pup stay at their house if you prefer. It's been an absolute life saver for my husband and I when we travel.

MsG - I honestly had not heard of it. Just looked it up and there are a few sitters in my city. Most of those sites don't cover my province so I'm pleasantly surprised. We're not planning any trips until con next year, at which point we'll have friends in town to watch him, but it's good to keep in mind just in case. Thanks!
